Thank you very much for this promotional video and your nice article both here and on Steam. You have honored us very much. We wish you pleasant games. :)
A note: You must first have the circuit breakers turned on in both the helper engine and the main engine. That way, when the first locomotive cranks, the helper engine also cranks and they can work together. Otherwise, it will be dragged behind as a dead engine. :)
Finally something new and refreshing after dominance of North American, UK and Germany based content in Train Simulator. Routes from other parts of the world are rare and always welcomed.
Very excited to see another region being represented in TSC. This will become another good train route to play around with. I'm hoping AND becomes another RSSLO-like group for all of Turkey. Only time will tell.
Really really neat route thats a nice flavor of a different country to TS. Its refreshing to see a group of people that still care about their DLC to put so much effort into it. I love the coloring, as well as the fact that its an entirely new route with entirely new rolling stock
Thank you very much for the kind of review that really helps me make a buying decision. Subscribing to your channel in light of the video. As far as the route is concerned, it is a wonderful piece of work and the developer should be proud. One thing the route does, is show the old age of the TS grapohics engine. Just imagine this route in TSW :)
@@andgamestr Best $30 I have spent on a route, engine and rolling stock since TS came out. Seriously puts virtually all my other routes to shame (and I have many). Looking forward to your TSW routes for the future. Clearly raises the standard we can expect from 3rd-party developers and even DTG, who now all fall short. All the best for the future. 😀
@@mughug9616 You embarrass us. :) We are really glad that we were appreciated and that we were able to pass our feelings on to you. Sadly this is one downside especially distant mountains which is a known weakness with TSC, just looks very low res once you get to a certain distance. No fault of the devs who have done the best they can with the tools and I have encountered this issue myself on routes I've built in TSC over the years. I feel this route and the loco/rolling stock would do very well in TSW, if DTG agreed to partner up with AND.
@@vern1961 Suspect that even with the limitations, the actuve lifespan of TSC still has years left in it due to the ability of anyone being able to mod and create routes and addons. Still find many independant developers selling DLC and usually of a higher standard then DTG.
these Turkish guys have a lot of potential. i really like the locomotive although i find it weird how Turkey opted for the not extremely practical North American road switcher route, although a lot of foreign manufacturers used it for other countries. i also like the TCDD UIC-X carriages first introduced in the late 1970s, although i hope to see them one day in original conditions (they had compartiments and a side corridor but the ones you see have a layout similar to a coach or an airliner, or the sleeper and couchette versions). i havent gotten to play it (and prolly wont for a bit of time since im short on storage space), but as you were saying the textures are really nice and realistic. im also hoping to see the TVS 2000 carriages next as these are the ones you get to see on their international services these days. later edit: the VALSE works exactly like in the V43 locomotive of the Hungarian Railways and also some of the older French electric locomotives, so it is indeed like a tap changer, very interesting to see on a diesel locomotive. as for the route itself, its really incredibly detailed, you can tell they spent years to work on it. the scenery in the towns and at the stations represents Turkey very well, at least as it looks like from streetview, and the guys even made sure to include some old Turkish-made vehicles like the Anadol too! even incredibly crappy roads with potholes (just think how fitting they would be for routes in Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia)! the scenery in the wildreness really reminds me of some routes in the western half of the US, especially Southern Pacific and DRGW's routes that are featured in TS Classic. the villages give out a feel that they are still just as how they were back in the 1980s/1990s. the only disadvantage would be the rather modern tracks and trackside, which idk if it was like that given that its meant to be set in the 2000s. but it already looks good and i'd give it a 10/10 from the start, possibly going even higher once i try it out :D also as a side note: idk what will happen to the TCDD but already i think its been split between the passengers and freight divison (as it seems customary in Europe), and they have their own national railway infrastructure manager. the reason why i say this is that TCDD operates a couchette car into my hometown (Bucharest, RO) and the logo on it says TCDD Taşımacılık which is safe to assume thats their passengers divison). also Pullman in Turkey refers to the carriages with open space seating, probably because when they first began to have railways, compartiments were the norm and open space seating was a luxury (untill the 1980s i think it was). generator cars are also the norm in countries like Turkey and Morocco too. lastly idk if they are the same guys who made the route but they are also making a route called Trakya (which in theory goes from Halkali in suburban Istanbul to Kapikule at the border with Bulgaria) so im curious to see how that turns out (i found them while googling Train Simulator Turkey).
Hello CFRTrainSpotter. Thank you for your detailed review and great information about Turkish railways. TCDD and TCDD Tasimacilik were created as part of the privatization of TCDD. While TCDD only provides infrastructure, line/catenary operation and signaling, TCDD Tasimacilik provides all locomotives, wagons and personnel. Thus, the railways in Turkey turned into a railway network operated by two separate institutions. By the way, we are not the ones who made the Trakya line, but we know the people who made it very well and we see that they are also doing a good job. Thank you, take care.
Schnauzahpowahz, I really, really want to watch you play the "64742 Freight Service (Belemedik - Yenice)" scenario. I wonder what would your reaction be when you first played? :)
So I had to go back and watch Skyfall again. The loco you get with this route is the one pulling the train James bond is on - nice :) . The Varda Viaduct is simply true to real life. This route is true to what you see in Google Maps. However, in the film, the north end of the bridge goes into a tunnel. Also, Bond free falls into a deep raging river, which does not exist under the Varda Viaduct. Either there is a sister bridge to this one, or some CGI wizardry was used in the movie. Useless trivia, I know. Carry on.
Thanks for your kind words. Yeah the tunnel and the river under the Varda is some kind of CGI wizardry to give the audience some more tense. Also the place that James Bond wakes up is at Marmaris, which is more than 800 KMs away! Usual Hollywood stuff :)
I'm only 4 minutes into the video. One thing already stands out to me: the people walking up and down the platform, they look far more realistic than the stock TSC stuff.
There will be a sale starting tomorrow, but new content is not normally included. This route is worth getting at the asking price, which is £5 cheaper than they are selling the new TSW Birmingham route (with missing scenery and quite a few bugs) for.
@@straypacket Same here with TSW. None of it really worth £25 or as they are now charging £30 for new content. However I'm looking to get Harlem Line if there's a decent offer, maybe Horseshoe Curve. Couple of TSC routes I'm looking at plus Bossman steam locos, which of course would be fun to operate up the Taurus route (to stay vaguely on topic).
This game looks like a great scam to me. To much expensive. A lot of long comments and explanations for the game. When you enter the one and a half hour video you cant even see train moving with carriage behind it. At the video a guy who shocked to everthing even an npc crouching and he is like "OMG he CROUCHED" chill man nothing so special we are in 2023. Even at rdr2 there are tons of details for train and objects related to the train and the game not about trains. COME ON.
If I didn't know better, I'd say that RDR2 and Train Simulator Classic are two different games that serve two different purposes, and therefore, are held to two different standards.
