It was around 1989, and I was coming out of NYC restaurant with a friend. All of a sudden I heard a very familiar voice and there was Rip Taylor walking with a small entourage. While they were waiting for the light to change, I went up to him and shook his hand and told him how much he brightened up every show he went on. He was so thankful and great. I love it when you can see that someone is absolutely one of a kind, and that was Rip Taylor.

Debbie Reynolds’ son did an interview a few days after her death and there was nothing sad about the whole experience. For him, it was confirmation. Check it out sometime.
