I got a 65 inch C2 a couple months ago and I think it’s incredible. The gaming features are perfect with the new consoles. Can’t say enough good about it. It’s bright enough for my pretty bright room.
Shame about oleds though they only last 3 to 6months before you need a new one I've had 10 so far and is getting way too expensive LGs are just not built to last

I have the 65 inch LG C1 Oled, and you nailed it in this review. I have the Sonos Arc Soundbar, with left and right Sonos ones and the Sonos sub and it is a great setup for gaming and movies and sports. My little 9 year old gets a kick out of the movie theater like sound for Disney movies. I turned it up to 75 or 80 out of 100 and my wife could hear the explosions from call of duty outside. So it’s more than room filling. Overall have to say yet again, i love the channel and reviews you do. I also have a Series X and PS5 and Switch as i run mac and apple products at the house so i do not have access to gaming on PC. Keep up the great content and i wish both you and your family a safe and enjoyable 2023.
@@michael-4k4000 i mostly agree, I wouldn’t say the C2 Blows the C1 away, but it has some improvement to brightness for sure, me and the wife just bought a new house, so i am thinking about selling the 65 C1 and getting a C3 to replace it and a C3 55 for downstairs, if i drop the cash for 2 new C3’s i will stick with them for a good while and not care what comes out for a while, the next upgrade would be if 8K content ever becomes a thing.
Bought 7 weeks ago. LG C2 65inch OLED in early Jan 2023. Best tv ever. Perfect for movies & high quality tv series. Works well in a moderately bright room. Coupled with a good surround sound system (5.1 AV receiver) and you don’t get a better experience. I couldn’t be happier.
Just a quick correction 3:40 . Yes the Xbox uses AMD Freesync Premium on the LG C2 however the PS5 does not use Nvidia's Gsync. Since the CPU and GPU in the PS5 are from AMD, I doubt you'll see Nvidia jumping to add this support either. Currently the PS5 uses the VESA adaptive sync tech (with ALLM as you mentioned). Butter smooth visuals for all of us gamers!
I just picked up a 55" C2 floor model on sale. Still more than I was planning to spend but it only took about 45 seconds of watching it in action to know I needed it in my life. Upgraded from a 46" 1080p LCD set that's probably around 15 years old now, and the difference is just ridiculous. GF and I are couch co-opping Borderlands 3 and it's like a whole different game.
@@MinimalisTech Xbox Series X, so getting the full 4K HDR 120Hz experience on this TV 🥰 Whatever platform you go for, strong recommend for the BL3 Ultimate Edition - comes with an absolute ton of quality DLC content, worth every cent!
For a soundbar, Sonos Arc for sure. Paired the the Sub and, even better, with a set of Ones for rear channels, it’s an amazing system. The fact that everything seamlessly works together so well and is wireless, it can’t be beat IMO. Can be a bit pricey, but you won’t regret the clean sound and easy installation.
I was going to suggest the sonos beam or arc. Arc is more beefy and offers above the head audio where the beam does not. And once you start with sonos you will probably never go with another speaker for your home. You can add speakers to any room, garage, outdoor patio, etc. and play your streamed audio through them by wifi, all from your phone.
Hello. I had the c2 for about a year. If you are looking for a sound bar, I just purchased the LGSP9YA. Very wide and clean sound. And what ever you read about lack of base, not the case. It will shake the walls when it needs to. And it fits perfectly with the television without obstruction as it's "while very big" it's thin. So it tucks under the television. Just make sure you have space on the side as there are side fireing speakers.
The 65" LG C2 has been ridiculously good on my Xbox Series X. I don't regret the purchase in the least. It's a massive difference in every way over all of my other 4K TVs including the ones I've purchased the last 2 years.
I’ve got the 48inch C2 and it’s gotta be the best thing I’ve brought in years. The colours and quality of this tv is absolutely incredible. The ps5 truly comes alive when paired to this. Playing on a monitor won’t do the ps5 justice
I'm glad I saw your comment, just ordered my PS5 (after a long wait) and tomorrow I'll be ordering the C2 55inch - my tech friend wants this telly too for his PS5, and if he tells me it's the mutts nutts then I know it must be good. Your comment has further cemented for me that I've made the right decision by choosing this t.v. Thanks.
I just got a c2 last week Friday I love this TV out the box 📦 last LG TV I had was back in 2018 it was a 1080P TV that i bought back in 2014 I replaced the 1080p LG with a Sony x900e well the LG TV is still running my sony tv don't even work anymore I will stick with LG for now on
@@FUCK_YOU_PAY_ME I got the C2 OLED 55" about 3 weeks ago and it's fantastic, especially when used with a PS5 - it brings the games to life, and even just watching the usual tv channels the pictures something else... Best damn telly I've ever bought, worth every penny of the £1,200 it cost here in the U.K
This was the review I needed. Im sold. Im planning on buying the ps5 soon and I want to upgrade my tv. I have the series x and switch. This tv is perfect. HDMI ports are enough and the quality is perfect all round
I'm about a dozen hours into Ragnarok atm, and that's a heck of a spoiler you have in your vid there (Who is in the boat with Kratos). Maybe you could consider limiting footage to first couple of hours of a game?
I have the C1 77" and I have a Sonos Soundbar and Subwoofer and it sounds amazing. Having the C1 and that sound system makes it feel like I'm watching in a movie theater
Clean, fast, to the point. Nice touches of humor. Well made. Liked and subbed. Also, torn between this and the sony a80k. I've always loved Sony for their accurate colous, but this review really made me look at the c2 differently. EDIT: Also appreciate you not showing off the sound. I hate it when reviews do that, when there's no way for the viewer to actually judge it.
@@yournotdatguypal Use HDMI 2.1 for 4k 120. No screen tearing that I've noticed. It does have G-sync via HDMI and works wonderfully. The C2 doesn't have displayport inputs so I'd opt for HDMI - HDMI cable that comes with the TV itself.
I just set mine up today (65”) and I instantly connected all my consoles to the HDMI and even a framemeister upscaler for the retro ones. Definitely amazed by 120fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
@@snowman22ism I wouldn’t recommend it for the consoles you mentioned as they all have HD configurations. It’s mostly designed for older gen consoles that play in 4:3 ratio that would really look terrible on an HD TV. It was designed for for retro consoles to work nearly flawlessly on an HDTV with no input lag. But if you really want to know more it’s called “Framemeister” it was designed in Japan. I got mine for $230 a while back. But they’re now going for astronomical prices as it’s an amazing quality product for what it does. I recommend it for like NES/SNES/SEGA Genesis or CD/Saturn/NEC TurboDuo.
@@SEABASSTHEGREAT Ok.. Thanks... I figured the Xbox might get a little help from it because when I play it on my 55" 4K TV it looks so bad.. A blocky mess.. I got a 32" TV to see if that would help but it only look marginally better. I guess maybe if I play from the other side of the room it will look a little better... maybe... Appreciate you taking the time to explain... Cheers!
@@snowman22ism I mean, it deffo would work with an original Xbox. But it might be too expensive for just that one console. There are cheaper alternatives when it comes to upscalers. And Framemeister caps at 1080p. It’s only downfall in this generation. But it’s such a solid product in everything else it offers. It’s a shame they skyrocketed in price
Night and day difference. Native 4k games will look amazing. I find myself just walking around and looking at things when I play god of war just because of how good it looks
I still have my Xbox One S around. Let me tell you, the difference is major. The curse is that after you get used to high resolution, graphics, and framerates, and fast loading, its hard to go back. Then you stack a high tier OLED on top. Then all of a sudden you can't unsee that everything else just doesn't look or feel as good. I only feel frustration when I occasionally use the Xbox One now. It's just soooo slow, blurry, and choppy by comparison. When you can I highly recommend picking up a new console if you want to. They look and play absolutely stunning, especially on this TV.
I'm going to say this again for other people to see. I bought my first tv ever as this tv. LG OLED c2 and it has not disappointed. I've had it for 2 months now and even watching this video I was appreciating my TV. It is nice and lately I've been playing games way too much. But it's what I enjoy and I have been addicted to games more now because of this tv. Even watching shows has been nice. I just haven't watched enough movies. Planning on it. The colors and brightness is nice. Very colorful and bright. Everything looks so good. And the one of my favorites is that you can connect your Bluetooth earphones or headphones to your TV. I just now connected my earphones to it and I just got a new pair of turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 MAX headphones. That can connect to almost everything. I had the previous but I got my phone to connect to my wifi. Except some stuff came up and decided to not connect my phone and google chrome cast to my tv. But I had a taste of it. You can connect a pair of earphones or headphones to your tv. If you have a PS5 you can swap between both your gaming and straight to your tv. It has been nice. If I could go ahead and connect everything to this TV I know it would be amazing. It feels so luxurious thinking about how I can just connecting it all and always being able to easily access this TV with my phone if I use Google chrome cast. Not sure if I can do it without it. And use voice command to turn it on and use my phone as it's remote. It's insane to think about how at any moment I'm on my phone and I want to watch TV. Say I had earphones in. I can turn on the tv with my phone and with my voice. Disconnect my Bluetooth earphones and connect it to my TV. Then if I want to game I can do that. And depending on your headphones like the turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 MAX then lol you can just connect it to your PS5 after if you can't hear it already. Not sure because haven't gotten to try it yet since I've gotten it today. But I've been dreaming of this moment. Sorry for the long rant
@@urippe im glad you are enjoying the C2! Its a beautiful tv and even to this day it wows me. I recently got a 4k bluray player for it and the movies looks so good! I also got a soundbar with surround sound speakers and it feels like a movie theater. The C2 will keep us satisfied for a long time!
I just got a Bravia to find out that newer Sony TV's have compatibility issues with Nvidia video cards... I'm about to return it for a c2 so this was helpful, thanks
I'd say it's only super useful if you're swapping a lot of inputs really. Like between game consoles to TV etc. That blank screen / lag disappears completely if I'm not mistaken. it's a "nice to have" but unsure of any other super useful cases.
@@MinimalisTech oh when people mean switch input they mean literal inputs/devices. I thought it was when watching videos and clicking “next” if it was a different frame rate at fullscreen exclusive it would flicker which I though is always the case since it takes time to load the file… makes me think better to get a c2 because c3 will launch at a similar price the c2 launched at. C2 much cheaper now.
@0:55 is that the LG C2 at 55 inches? And if it is, what exactly are your dimensions of your desk? I thought editing on something so big would be completely horrible but based on that angle it doesnt seem so bad lol. Thanks for the video. I just use mines for viewing movies/tv but I was looking to actually getting this TV and was wondering if i should wait for the new lineup of TVs to come out before buying. Its currently around 1100 on Amazon.
Just got this tv last week. From a great panasonic plasma of 10years old. I thought it would have made my regular content better. You really need 4k hdr to make this set sing. Beautiful image.
Watching the prices slowly go down on Amazon and the C3 is only just getting going in terms of stock, so looking forward to the 65inch come down even further, I'm gonna take the gamble that there'll be stock of new c2's for a few more months.
Around 6:50 you mention bluetooth connectivity with your earpods, how bad is the latency when casual gaming ? I tried it with my wh-xm5 and switched to connecting them via cable to my ps5 headset directly.
Not bad for story-based games. It had notceabke latency on COD with my XM5s as well. But I usually plug that into my Dualsense or Xbox controller. Story games I just go Bluetooth to the tv
Good review sir i have a few questions Do you have problems with burn in ? And is the cpu fast enough to render 4k on youtube ? And are the menu's fast and snappy ? And i also love good sound. its better to take 2 good quality speakers and no soundbar
I understand that. Everyone I told about it just couldn't fathom spending over $1k on a TV but when it has pretty much everything that you can want, it is worth it.
Love my sound bar Samsung Q990B. Base rattles the house and the sound bar volume goes up to 100. The volume is very loud in the 30s for watching tv or playing games. Listening to really loud music I’ve never needed to go above a 55 in volume. It sits in a room that’s 60’x24’ with ceiling being 10’. Been the best sound bar I’ve ever heard.
@2:27 you mentioned that there is a head phone jack. I think there isnt one, it has an IR blaster port (an attachement thingy came with the tv that slides into this port)
Not a bad video and the C2 is a great TV. It would be good to take a breath or two in your VoiceOver. It is overwhelming listening to you speak at that speed for nearly 8 minutes. I like the idea of LED backlighting for the TV, but surely the best implementation is with a system like the Hue play, otherwise it seems a bit distracting IMHO
If you hook up a new Apple TV into the EARC port, get two of the new HomePod 2nd gen, not only will they sound amazing in stereo pair, but also the Apple TV will act as a hub so your consoles will be able to use the HomePods as speakers as well
I see this 42" on sale again now at Costco for $899.99 and it includes a FIVE YEAR warranty. For the risk of burn-in, that's actually insane. Of course, burn-in only occurs with static displays (task bars, etc.) Really considering that as a PC monitor and XBSX TV.
Just picked this up from Bestbuy to pair with my PC, and let me tell you it's more than worth it! I got it as and open box $771 excellent condition with a 5 year warranty no regrets!
After cultivating an 77" LG G1 in my living room, I’ve begun thinking about upgrading the master bedroom into a LG C1, between the 48" or the 55" model.
I’d have to research the missing features, @@jare8021. Being that I went big for the living room, and was satisfied for years with a 40", the idea of a 48" OLED TV sounds compelling. But, if the 55" is more feature-rich, I won’t be mad going with that instead.
I bought a 65 inch C1 in September. Fell in love after a lot of adjustments. Bought a 55inch C2 for my ps5 December 7th and Love it. The C2 does look better maybe because I just lucked out on the tv being very very close to calibration. I paired both TVs with Klipsch cinema 600 5.1 . And Klipsch Cinema 1200 full surround.. These TVs imo are just amazing. I feel like I did spend some serious money but that money was spent well. Which is the goal . You can get get rid of the web os recommendations. There are multiple settings to turn of ads , adjust Home Screen etc. The magic remote actually becomes useful when typing in email credentials etc. I really like your clean minimalist setup👍🏼
I have the C2. Amazing TV's! No regrets. The only thing I hate is the stupid remote. The middle scroll button is a pain in the a**. Worst remote ever but the TV is definitely worth it.
Quick tip to remove all those ads Go to Settings, System - And look for LG services and turn from Auto to others. It will reset your TV and remvoe all the bloat
C1 48inch is great for me, I paired it with full 5.1 Bose sound system and it’s perfect for anything that I watch, You should get the Bose soundbar 600 it will be perfect for you with their 500 subwoofer for the lows. I also have their 700 surround sound speakers. This setup is crazy good for 5.1 Dolby atmos I also use 2021 Apple TV
What this video does not mention is you can stick a 42" or 48" on your desk and use it as a monitor. I've been using the 48" CX as my only monitor for a couple of years now and I have no regrets. Don't worry, burn-in and image retention don't seem to exist anymore with the newer OLEDs. Playing your PC games in true 4k/120Hz on a massive screen with an RTX card is pure bliss.

Huuuuuugee upgrade! Nice. What system y’all playing? Borderlands looks wild, it’s on my list to get to
@@MinimalisTech Xbox Series X, so getting the full 4K HDR 120Hz experience on this TV 🥰
Whatever platform you go for, strong recommend for the BL3 Ultimate Edition - comes with an absolute ton of quality DLC content, worth every cent!
I really like my Samsung q950a it’s paired with a b7 though which is still going strong!
doesnt the sonos arc block a lil bit of the bottom of your screen ?
@@asiatimepiececentre33 not in my case as I have my TV mounted on the wall with a bracket that holds the Arc beneath it.
Apple homepods. Two of them.
You do regret something.
You wish you would’ve bought the 77”
65” is good enough.
@@whodontlikeit9356 no it isn’t
@@HateTheIRS I disagree, 65” is pretty standard.
@@HateTheIRS But you don't know how far they are sitting away from their TV. That's what determines whether a TV's size is large enough.
I’ve got the 48inch C2 and it’s gotta be the best thing I’ve brought in years. The colours and quality of this tv is absolutely incredible. The ps5 truly comes alive when paired to this. Playing on a monitor won’t do the ps5 justice

I'm about a dozen hours into Ragnarok atm, and that's a heck of a spoiler you have in your vid there (Who is in the boat with Kratos). Maybe you could consider limiting footage to first couple of hours of a game?
I just bought a 55” LG G2 OLED and picked up both PS5 and XBOX Series X Definitely worth it!!

I hate it when reviews do that, when there's no way for the viewer to actually judge it.
this was exactly what I was looking for. I need a new tv and especially one that’s perfect for gaming. hopefully, I can get it on sale.
I use the C2 42" with a PC. It's very nice and games run quite nicely with the RTX 4080

I love my LG C2. I have the 42”. I was initially on the hunt for a 32” 4k Oled but i am happy with the C2 42” i just position myself a bit farther.
I just got a 42 for gaming on Wednesday. HOLY CRAP. Epic
I just set mine up today (65”) and I instantly connected all my consoles to the HDMI and even a framemeister upscaler for the retro ones. Definitely amazed by 120fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
Tell me more about this upscaler. I still have Xbox 360, Ps3 and OG Xbox.
I got the C1 for Christmas last year. After your review I will be purchasing the C2 this year 👍
Love my C2! Everything just looks better on it. Still have an Xbox One and it looks great. Curious how much better a Series X would look?
Night and day difference. Native 4k games will look amazing. I find myself just walking around and looking at things when I play god of war just because of how good it looks
Xbox Series X looks darn real on my LG CX.
You forgot to mention fast pixel response times. That gives it an advantage over qled and gaming.
hello friend can you tell me the model of the rgb tape that you put behind your tv thanks
I'd advise that you look into a good pair of bookshelf speakers instead of a soundbar, the audio quality difference is huge.
How to get such backlight?
Just brought myself a LG QNED, May not be an oled but i am really loving it

@0:55 is that the LG C2 at 55 inches? And if it is, what exactly are your dimensions of your desk? Around 6:50 you mention bluetooth connectivity with your earpods, how bad is the latency when casual gaming ? I tried it with my wh-xm5 and switched to connecting them via cable to my ps5 headset directly.
Not bad for story-based games. It had notceabke latency on COD with my XM5s as well. But I usually plug that into my Dualsense or Xbox controller.
Story games I just go Bluetooth to the tv
Good review sir i have a few questions
Do you have problems with burn in ? And is the cpu fast enough to render 4k on youtube ?
And are the menu's fast and snappy ? And i also love good sound. its better to take 2 good quality speakers and no soundbar
I bought this a month ago as a Christmas gift to myself. Incredible TV. But damn, I won’t be buying anything else anytime soon 😢
Dude this is exactly like me aswell.
Same
i also make me a present for myself ;-) and i am still very happy with it
I understand that.
I've never had an oled. Is it Worth it $500 more over the Sony x90k?
65" Sony x90k $999 or
65 c2 for $1499 ?
Ended up paying up paying $1324 b4 tax 🤝
I dont think anyone would honor the warranty for burn in
3:48 actually I believe AMD Freesync is supported on PS5 as well (not nvidia g-sync) as PS5 also uses AMD architecture for graphics and CPU
After cultivating an 77" LG G1 in my living room, I’ve begun thinking about upgrading the master bedroom into a LG C1, between the 48" or the 55" model.
I heard the 48” is missing some features that all the other sizes have
I’d have to research the missing features, @@jare8021. Being that I went big for the living room, and was satisfied for years with a 40", the idea of a 48" OLED TV sounds compelling. But, if the 55" is more feature-rich, I won’t be mad going with that instead.
Can you walk through the settings you’re using to get that type of picture quality for gaming(PS5) and movies?

What this video does not mention is you can stick a 42" or 48" on your desk and use it as a monitor. I've been using the 48" CX as my only monitor for a couple of years now and I have no regrets. Don't worry, burn-in and image retention don't seem to exist anymore with the newer OLEDs. Playing your PC games in true 4k/120Hz on a massive screen with an RTX card is pure bliss.
