    I would recommend a couple of safety tips against burn in
    - hide your taskbar
    - hide your desktop icons
    - use a cycle of wallpapers, if animated, even better
    I got mine a couple of weeks ago and love it, never going back

    Correction: the multi-view function DOES NOT support 2 HDMI devices, it will only allow you to do 1 HDMI + Screenshare. I’ve bought the C2 42 and everything has been good except for this stupid lack of 2 HDMI inputs for PIP/PBP.

    I just have a cheap 43 inch 4k TV that I use as a monitor, and it looks amazing. I can only imagine how good this one looks. They had them on for $299 so I gave it a try, and it's so bright, colorful, and sharp. Even at like 2 feet away you can't see the individual pixels. Like an iPhone. Just crisp. It gives you so much screen real estate and is like a breath of fresh air after getting home from work where I use a regular 27 inch LCD monitor. I just don't get people with their little dim laptop screens. I'll probably go blind or get puckered eyes, but the 4K TV looks sweet as a computer screen.

    • @MrSpike77777
      @MrSpike77777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 43" last year and it worked good. My work doesn't have the office space so my boss told me I'd be working from home for quite awhile so I decided to get a C1 48. The 43 was washed out in comparison and the blacks were more grey but the 43" did full chroma 4:4:4 so it displayed decent text but OLED really has it beat. If you plan to use it as a pc monitor it will work fine but if you have the budget I'd highly recommend a 42 or 48 oled.

  • @zodiacfml
    @zodiacfml 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    yes. I have an LG 43" TV as monitor going into 5 years now, doesn't feel big. The size feels like the minimum to get when you get past or get away from PC monitor sizes.

    Tips for those watching this video, don't do the same mistake as the video, use auto hide your start menu to prevent burn-in. Enable pixel shift, use dark mode on Windows, apps, browser and websites. Activate backgrounds that automatically are changing.

    • @donkeysunited
      @donkeysunited 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      And probably don't put it up on a monitor riser. This is the only channel I've seen where the TV has not been close to the desk. All ergonomics guides say the top of the monitor should be at eye level and that's already hard with a 42" TV. Raising it up further is not going to help.

    • @donkeysunited

      @@Jay-xq1dc I have to take back my comment. I just set up this monitor today and it was too low on my desk. The top of the TV was below my eye level. The stand on this TV is really low compared to normal monitors.
      I have it up on my old monitor riser now and I think it might be a touch too high but I'll try it out until I can find a happy medium.
      Something I have noticed about auto-hiding the taskbar - there is still a grey line in the lower left from the search box and the active app icon. So it doesn't hide the task bar fully. That could be troublesome.

I know that this video is 2 years old but I tried this with my LG OLED C4 and my M1 Mac and now it runs at 144 Hertz in 4k and 8k at 60 hertz. I hope this information helps. I would really like to upgrade to OLED panel but not this size. Ultrawide or 34" would be perfect for me. If only the Alienware OLED is available in my place I have already upgraded my 34" ultrawide VA panel.

      nothing wrong with the size, you can use it as a tv or movie watching screen when you're done with productivity.

    For me I think only thing I change is instead of that huge screen I will have dual screen setup.

    I need to correct you, the port / input latency on this is actually around 6ms @ 4K ... this is actually INSANELY good. I am not sure why you didn't do more research before doing your review as you no doubt confused and mislead several potential buyers, admittedly, through ignorance and not on purpose, but still.

    I tried this kind of setup with a 55" Samsung Frame TV but by the end of the I started feeling claustrophobic and uneasy and headaches because my eyes were looking screen/monitor and lack of rest even for a couple of seconds, I had replaced that with a 27"LG monitor.

    • @DarkP1
      @DarkP1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      all sizes can work if your distance to it is the appropriate one, for 55" you should be around 5 feet away, with this 42" it has to be 3 feet as I right now I'm writing from a 27" 2 feet away
