You shouldn't be given a ticket for decorating your own property, no matter what season it is. Pumpkins equal thanksgiving anyway, and scarecrows are to keep out the burglars!

So your town has a law about decorating for Hallowe'en only on Hallowe'en. Do they have the same law about Christmas decorating?It isn't even Thanksgiving as I post this comment (11/20), yet many homes and yards in my area are already sporting tinsel, candy canes, and Santa animatronics.

Crikey! Being restricted when you're allowed to put out decorations?? Hey Eduardo, when CAN you put out Halloween decs? Are there also restrictions for Xmas, thanksgiving, 4th July? We do not have any such restrictions over here in the UK, we can hang out decorations or whatever any time of year (I have a life-size skelly out in a tree and he's been there for 6 or 7 years), the only time there may be restrictions is on a relatively new housing development and the builders put covenants into the property title. But that would be rare. Normally they have silly restrictions, like what colour your front door is!
I will make this next year. I have pumpkin head already. Just need the light bulb and wiring to complete
I just bought a twin pack of those bulbs off Amazon and they are amazing. Jack is looking great! When my outside cloth gets weathered and lightens up a I mix RIT dye in a spray bottle with water and mist it on, works great.
I liked the nest in there, but probably not the best with lights

HOAs can be a real downer sometimes. They should give you an exception since you provide us and your neighbors quality content.

I'm doing this project this year and I was wondering if there are any cordless options for lights. I was just gonna do a tea light thing but I fear it may not be bright enough.
I knew the initial shock of receiving a ticket for my first off season graveyard on the front lawn.
After telling the court I was in the right considering religious exemption I was fine.
I've since added much, much more horrors for the HOA to fawn over.
I always so love Jack! He's awesome looking. Frankly I would keep him up year round, after all, he is a scare crow, right? And where do they go? In flower beds and gardens, so therefore he should be allowed out in the front or side yard of your house year round. 🦇 🎃 🦇
