- In this tutorial, I want to show you how I made a scary DIY scarecrow mask for our annual Halloween party using burlap, jute, and raffia for an extra creepy and unique look. You can do so many different expressions and put your own spin on a scarecrow. You don’t have to go the traditional route with a floppy straw hat.
This is a bit of a messy project but overall not too difficult. Just be careful with the pinning needles.
Also check out my matching blog post with more details and photos of how I wore it with a black robe and outfit for Halloween: cuckoo4design....

Supplies, materials, and tools needed to make this scary scarecrow mask:
🎃 burlap/hessian cloth (I bought two yards because I wanted to make two masks, one yard should be enough for one mask) amzn.to/3M4FX1n
🎃 jute yarn amzn.to/3QjQjNe
🎃 black mask, the masks are a bit more expensive at Party City where I got mine (if you can't find a black mask, just use the black duct tape all over the mask / a skull mask, theater mask, or scream mask would work great too) amzn.to/46tJrm4
🎃 black duct tape amzn.to/45zAI0y
🎃 X-Acto knife amzn.to/3FjuI19
🎃 aluminum foil
🎃 needles
🎃 matte Mod Podge glue amzn.to/45EcQIV
🎃 clear Gorilla glue or hot glue amzn.to/46uw1Gz
🎃 scissors
🎃 big-eye stitching needle amzn.to/46wTwPk
🎃 large curved upholstery needle amzn.to/401R1lt
🎃 black and brown craft paint (I've seen people using black tea to darken burlap but I prefer the craft paint because it gives me more control over the shading) amzn.to/3S3jlCg
🎃 raffia ribbon amzn.to/48XgBMq
🎃 hard bristle craft paintbrushes amzn.to/3tzdxGl
🎃 styrofoam head for wigs amzn.to/48Yoe5E
🎃 drill and drill bit

Good work, but not a fan of the background noise.
I liked the background noise
For real. It's annoying and I don't know what it's supposed to represent. but otherwise good video 👍👍
Next time, try using Your volume. Now the vid is silent😢.
I hear absolutely nothing. Very off putting.
I like it!
Amazing, looks brutal 🤘🔥👏👏
Thanks :)
Brilliant work

Muy buen trabajo se ve espectacular
Awesome work

It’d be a lot better with you as the narrator instead of the music. I super enjoyed your video.
👹Excellent. ❤ love it
Thanks!
That is awesome, will you sell one of those to me?
Love it
Great video! How do you fasten it at the back to your head?
Hi! The plastic mask I used has a rubber band attached to it, which worked great to keep the mask on my head.
Amazing you should sell these
Thanks!
LIQUID STARCH..may be a better and, less messy answer.

I have used liquid starch in my one macrame project and it worked great for that but it is still to bendable and can easily fall apart. For me, this worked better because it is more sturdy.
Cool
Thanks :)
That music or noise is annoying as hell
You can just use the mute button
👉💙
The stupid music is so annoying
You can use your mute button!
