Glendale lies in the southeastern end of the San Fernando Valley, bisected by the Verdugo Mountains, and is a suburb in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Glendale is located at the junction of two large valleys, the San Fernando and the San Gabriel.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 79.212 km2 (30.6 sq mi)
Shopping:
The downtown Glendale Galleria is anchored by Macy's, Target, J. C. Penney, and Bloomingdales, and the Americana at Brand, an outdoor mall which includes stores such as Tiffany & Co., H&M, Armani Exchange, True Religion, and Urban Outfitters.
The Americana at Brand is home to a Nordstrom, which was previously located inside the Glendale Galleria.
Another shopping area is the Glendale Fashion Center, which is anchored by Ross, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Staples, and Petco.
Parks and recreation:
The city has nearly 50 public parks, from Deukmejian Wilderness Park in the north to Cerritos Park in the south.
DreamWorks SKG, a diversified entertainment company.
DreamWorks Animation is located in the city's Grand Central Business Centre.

I love Glendale. I lived on the sixth floor of The Days Inn Glendale from Apr 2002 to Oct 2008 with a beautiful and expansive view of the downtown Los Angeles skyline. I could also see the planes landing at LAX.
I lived in Glendale in 1966-1967, and after watching this video tour, I didn’t recognize ANYTHING! But the street names, I guess after 55 years everything is bound to change. But I’ve got fond memories of my time in Glendale. 😁👍

In Glendale Forest Lawn Cementery there are many famous movie stars buried.
We live very near Glendale Forest Lawn. My parents-in-law and brother-in-law are all buried there. My wife and I make it a point to visit their resting places at least once a month.
Just briefly looking at the Peace Monument was sobering; I never knew such existed. And yes, don't forget to buckle your seat belt. Excellent tour of Glendale, thanks

Very Very Nice tour, The Rossmyone area of Glendale which you drove though a few times during this is pretty amazing. If possible being able to see more of the nicer streets like Cortez drive would be especially awesome.

The Del Amo Fashion Center In Torrance & Lakewood Center in Lakewood are both larger than the Glendale Galleria in Glendale. However, the Glendale Galleria IS the largest mall within ten miles of downtown Los Angeles.

Yes... but not safe to drive there. Auto insurance redlined because of reckless drivers and staged fraud accidents.

It is incorrect to say that the Peace Monument is the only one in the world. The one in Glendale is a copy that was made in 2013. The original is located in Korea.
There are at least nine other comfort women memorials in the USA, and the first one was placed in Palisades Park, New Jersey in 2010. In California, there is another in San Francisco that has a different design. It was made in 2017.
Many years ago, I worked in Glendale College and drove up Glenoaks almost every day. So I wondered why you turned off it on the way. It wasn't until you said "where is the college?" that I realized you'd made a mistake. :)
