- [EDIT] for all the ppl asking in the comments, the [[NOT FOR KIDS]] in the title is because of youtube's new policy regarding kid's content, which was vague and included "anything kids might like/enjoy" and i didnt wanna risk a COPPA violation cause this animatic includes a cartoon network song
my ass is sore, my fingers are stiff, and my shoulder feels like it's actively being branded by a hot iron, but i did it! this is the longest animatic ive ever done in the shortest amount of time(two days of nearly non-stop work) and it's 63 frames. i discovered a cool lil glitch effect in sony vegas 15 so that was extremely fun to work with! but it also leads to flashing lights, so fair warning on that.
this is very virgil centric(cause i love him), but the basic premise is the feelings of loneliness and not quite fitting in he might have had before, and after, being accepted into the group. i also think the new steven universe song(and perhaps lapis as a character) really fits him.

This just brings attention to how while Virgil is always talking and happy for mortality and is often outcasted. He has a curse, he can see the worst of something and the only think he can do is see what else could go wrong. That is how anxiety often is. Logan can bring out the logistics of most things. Roman is the creativity and is bringing up the most amazing things. Patton is plain happy about everything. Virgil is trapped in the tight space of where he doesn’t know to see good things or just can’t.
I love the idea that Virgil has really upscale panic attacks and very strong anxiety disorder, and the reason he is so 'anxiety' to Thomas is because he is scared about those things himself, but doesn't have the physical form to check. I also think that he could have PTSD from an event having to do with deceit, and it triggers that bad memory whenever he sees deceit.
Hey, no, I didn't want that. I actually kinda wanted to not cry today, y'know? But here I am, sitting in my basement at 3AM, crying over Sanders Sides.
