It was a pretty fuckin' awesome moment. Normally the Mystic Arte variant of Indignation is reserved for the playable characters. Like Arche, Philia, Genis, Jade, Rita, Kongwai, Laphicet etc. So upon playing Arise, I half expected Rinwell's 2nd MA to be Indignation. Naaaah. They pulled the rug and gave it to this evil dude. Granted, he's not the FIRST antagonist to have Indignation. Yuan and Heldalf had it too. But the absolute devastation and tankiness on this variant is just terrifying. As soon as he said: "I, who stands bathed in heavenly light.." Every Tales fan probably lost their marbles. Btw, for non-Tales fans: The game is Tales of Arise.

The utter chaos happening when he conjures indignation is… idk how to explain it, Indignation itself was chaotic itself (my favorites being Rita’s and Jade’s) but the fact the environment around them was going nuts is such a fine detail, I love it!
Favorite Tales Indignation realization was when Heldalf cast it in Zesteria. Made all the more harrowing, when you play Berseria and learn the truth about Maotelus
Yeah, the Zestiria incantation combined with Heldalf’s VA makes it the best version imo Though Arise does a very good job of conveying how dangerous the spell is lol
I got off lucky you know was playing on hard, ganabelt spamming it because he bout to die saw the cutscene while doing a full charged infernal torrent, it cut to me using a boost strike and ended it there, doesn't help that my team were all low too
god that was so stressful. literally beat him at the last possible second. i was like "either i dump everything i have on him right now or i lose for the first time. Jesus take the wheel"

When they have bosses use it, they're sadistic about it. Rather than saying it all at once, they chant each line SLOWLY. So that you begin to realize how fucked you are about to be, Also, whenever bosses do it, Dhaos somewhere says: YES! THAT'S HOW IT FEELS!!!
This made me laugh way more than it should 🤣🤣🤣 and I sympathize with this because this is kind of my reaction when I went against this move in other tale games
my initial response was "ooh whats this, a mechanic? what, do i just need to break through the barrier?" followed immediately by "oh boy he's chanting, that means i'm on a time limit" then followed by "wait I know this line-" and then the mystic arte went off and everyone but Law and Shionne died.
A lot of people coming in. 1. The game is called Tales of Arise 2. This boss teaches you of the importance of accessories. Anti-light rings are basically required for this fight. You aren't meant to kill all the clones, you're meant to mitigate the damage dealt to you by optimizing your party and properly preparing. 3. Personally I think the difficulty curve is so huge because they want you to buy the DLC packs and encourage you to by putting you up against insane difficulty curves. I still love this game, but it doesn't get any easier lol.

This fight was so unbalanced in hard difficulty, I could never kill more than 2 clones during the casting animation, even by abusing the most broken abilities, at the end I managed to beat him simply by tanking Indignation with 1 hp and using items.
honestly this fight turned me off to the game a little. He felt so absurdly tanky and i had no clue how to do enough damage to stop the cast. The whole fight felt like an item check..... do you have enough healing and revive items to outlast the boss lol
On hard, you just tank it, beating the clones has already been proven impossible (statistically speaking), you're never gonna have the dps (bar cheating) to be all clones on hard.

on a fresh run, hard difficulty, the early game bosses are insanely OP for the level you fight them at. this was actually the hardest fight in the game for me, took over 2 hours to beat
You know something I don't see many people talk about is the fact that if she wanted to Rinwell could use Indignation as it is a Light Element Astral Arte. Lore wise we are told only Dhanans can use Light Astral Energy the only exception to this as we see with Ganabelt is the Renan Lord of the Light Master Core. With this said since Rinwell is a Dhanan Mage who can use Light Astral Energy she could use Indignation since it being a Light Elemental Astral Arte would make sense when you factor in the lore of the world of Tales of Arise. Personally I think they should have made a quest where Rinwell could learn the spell but she uses the same chant we all know from the older titles in the series instead of using the chant Ganabelt used. Just a little something that I thought about when I was playing through the game.

The game was solid, didn't appreciate the DPS checks for this game though, especially because I like to play on a higher difficulty in tales (I personally don't think they work for this style). I definitely laughed and panicked the first time I heard him reciting and realized it was indignation. 😂
It wasn't a DPS check.... it was a resistance check... seriously not everything is DPS check sheeeesh. I'm 100% sure that's why they made it that way. Just equip anything with light resistance and resistance and he wouldn't even do halve hp damage
@elelyonshaddai9807 then why make the mechanic at all? That literally defeats the purpose of it needing to be charged and having targets to protect him. Just let it cast in cutscene. It IS intended to be a DPS check. If you need to rely on a specific item in-game maybe that should have been more apparent for players. I agree I had to be a bit smarter when playing this one because it wasn't a multi-player experience like the rest and the ai is as bad as usual, but thats a complaint for a different video. I think you forget its actually possible to stop it if you have enough dps (if you've actually ever done it... 😭) Also, the panic factor only is viable like once. If you can't make the dps check, common sense says you're just gonna get hit every time. If you have that resistance, that's kinda a moot point, there's no real reason to panic.

If they're spending the time casting a spell, then you have the time to make sure everyone is topped off and buffed up. They're literally telling you what they're about to do, so it's not really a DPS check when you can just flat tank it, if you're not running a Glass Cannon build.

Even on EASY mode you can't PREVENT it other then trying to OFF the boss BEFORE he attempts to charge it ie 9999 Devils arm kills + easy mode + NG+ run for example But even on Easy mode its likely to still kill you once the spell goes off.

This is how I feel with one hit damage checks in an MMORPG raid and you just are sweating so hard because you're like if we don't pass this check we have to start all the way over. In the intensity of the attack building up and you're just like a hoping your team can put out enough dmg. I had this happen in the final fantasy XIV heavensward My whole team got wiped out and I was the only one alive somehow as the astrology and we had limit break3 it was the most epic moment I've ever had in any MMO because I survived I limit break 3 my team back to life and we finished the fight. On top of how pretty the astrology limit breakthrough was I just remember hitting record on my PlayStation and uploaded that clip to facebook I wish I had uploaded it to TH-cam though
i had trouble fighting him that i used all the dlc items which made me level 65, but then regretted it coz i felt bored coz i cheated, worst thing is i overwritten my save file 😅😅😅 now i have to start from the begining 😅😅😅
first time i played this fight and heard the phrases 'heavenly light' and 'gates of hell' in the same incantation i was PANICKING bc i knew he was cooking the most diabolic spell ever. dude has a tier 2-3 mystic arte as a regular ass spell.
God I remember actually taking a break from this game for 2 weeks after a night of me getting curbstomped by this man. I main Rinwell and *just* picked up maining Rinwell and that night I was so convinced that I just sucked at the character (I'm a bit of a perfectionist, trying to no-hit anything as much as possible but my god aggro sucks ass in this game). Next time I picked up the game again I made sure to grind a lot to overlevel and get some practice in. Sure enough at this early in the game I killed the clones and got over it pretty alright. Oh, and anti-light armor? Never wore them. Never even realized I should've. Never ever once got the idea of wearing anything repelling elements. I killed Volran (first fight) easily by running in circles around the arena and just kiting him while Alphen and Law demolished him as he was chasing my Rinwell around. I'll always found a way to get over anything in this game the only ways I know how.
I also started playing Rinwell in endgame and the feeling of mixing spells to throw a FREAKING SHOOTING STAR at the enemies was one of the coolest i ever felt playing mage in rpg games
@@artintovate4962 ikr?! I killed Procella Sylph (level 70 boss on top of Tower of Wind) at party level 55 because I kept spamming Shooting Star and Meteor Storm like a madman.
I did the same but she's hard to use early game with slow cast time but easy after you're around lvl 40 which is good enough lvl to defeat undine drop and that cave also gives early 5* stamina accessory ores. Now I'm on chaos playthrough where I switch characters a lot for the team to survive & makes it easy to break weak pts to down enemies faster I'm not sure how aggro works I gave 4 increase aggro L on kisara & enemies don't target me as often than before if they do just down them with alphen boost atk & they won't target you for a while. Best build is giving alphen 4x 8% BG charge rate on impact accessory which always downs bossess & he's mostly off-field as boost atk support.
Lol I fought the slime boss before this one and saw its HP bar. "Are you kidding me? Bro I do like 40 damage per attack on average and you have over 60k hp."
so I see that even experienced players have to melee combo in a circle around the enemy >.< I just recently started playing ToA and it annoys the shit out of me that you cant just stand still and melee a mob. No matter what I do Alphen ends up needing to be constantly turned toward the boss and that means you end up circling around them like you can see at 0:34 if you use skills he'll plant himself to attack so its not so bad but with regular combos it always happens. You'd think the forward movement would be stopped by colliding with the mob but I guess they're all coated in butter cuz you just slide off to one side or the other >.
Same it took me 3 tries to beat him but it also helped wearing element resistance gear too ( I forget which element he is and I'm sorry been awhile since I beat this game)
Ganabelt pulled off arguably the most logical and realistic move in Tales. Set up a barrier before chanting a spell.

Memes aside the DPS check on this is fucking absurd even when you have all the DLC stat boosters and properly utilize the Blazing Sword
with dlc gear its super easy you also get reigning slash for alphen around this time if you did some random battles

I thought the game was broken with some of the HP stuff glad I'm not the only one. Felt like 3 levels gap was almost insurmountable without items

I agree I had to be a bit smarter when playing this one because it wasn't a multi-player experience like the rest and the ai is as bad as usual, but thats a complaint for a different video. I think you forget its actually possible to stop it if you have enough dps (if you've actually ever done it... 😭) Also, the panic factor only is viable like once. If you can't make the dps check, common sense says you're just gonna get hit every time. If you have that resistance, that's kinda a moot point, there's no real reason to panic.

I mean if I hear some scary spell chanting I'm definately topping everyone to max hp. If I have time to put up defensive buffs that's going up as well.
If they're spending the time casting a spell, then you have the time to make sure everyone is topped off and buffed up. They're literally telling you what they're about to do, so it's not really a DPS check when you can just flat tank it, if you're not running a Glass Cannon build.

Even on EASY mode you can't PREVENT it other then trying to OFF the boss BEFORE he attempts to charge it ie 9999 Devils arm kills + easy mode + NG+ run for example But even on Easy mode its likely to still kill you once the spell goes off.

This is how I feel with one hit damage checks in an MMORPG raid and you just are sweating so hard because you're like if we don't pass this check we have to start all the way over. In the intensity of the attack building up and you're just like a hoping your team can put out enough dmg. I had this happen in the final fantasy XIV heavensward My whole team got wiped out and I was the only one alive somehow as the astrology and we had limit break3 it was the most epic moment I've ever had in any MMO because I survived I limit break 3 my team back to life and we finished the fight. On top of how pretty the astrology limit breakthrough was I just remember hitting record on my PlayStation and uploaded that clip to facebook I wish I had uploaded it to TH-cam though

first time i played this fight and heard the phrases 'heavenly light' and 'gates of hell' in the same incantation i was PANICKING bc i knew he was cooking the most diabolic spell ever. dude has a tier 2-3 mystic arte as a regular ass spell.

God I remember actually taking a break from this game for 2 weeks after a night of me getting curbstomped by this man. I main Rinwell and *just* picked up maining Rinwell and that night I was so convinced that I just sucked at the character (I'm a bit of a perfectionist, trying to no-hit anything as much as possible but my god aggro sucks ass in this game). Next time I picked up the game again I made sure to grind a lot to overlevel and get some practice in. Sure enough at this early in the game I killed the clones and got over it pretty alright.
Oh, and anti-light armor? Never wore them. Never even realized I should've. Never ever once got the idea of wearing anything repelling elements. I killed Volran (first fight) easily by running in circles around the arena and just kiting him while Alphen and Law demolished him as he was chasing my Rinwell around. I'll always found a way to get over anything in this game the only ways I know how.
I also started playing Rinwell in endgame and the feeling of mixing spells to throw a FREAKING SHOOTING STAR at the enemies was one of the coolest i ever felt playing mage in rpg games
@@artintovate4962 ikr?! I killed Procella Sylph (level 70 boss on top of Tower of Wind) at party level 55 because I kept spamming Shooting Star and Meteor Storm like a madman.
I did the same but she's hard to use early game with slow cast time but easy after you're around lvl 40 which is good enough lvl to defeat undine drop and that cave also gives early 5* stamina accessory ores.
Now I'm on chaos playthrough where I switch characters a lot for the team to survive & makes it easy to break weak pts to down enemies faster
I'm not sure how aggro works I gave 4 increase aggro L on kisara & enemies don't target me as often than before if they do just down them with alphen boost atk & they won't target you for a while.
Best build is giving alphen 4x 8% BG charge rate on impact accessory which always downs bossess & he's mostly off-field as boost atk support.

This boss fight was so stupid, why does his clones have so much health?
so I see that even experienced players have to melee combo in a circle around the enemy >.< I just recently started playing ToA and it annoys the shit out of me that you cant just stand still and melee a mob. No matter what I do Alphen ends up needing to be constantly turned toward the boss and that means you end up circling around them like you can see at 0:34
if you use skills he'll plant himself to attack so its not so bad but with regular combos it always happens. You'd think the forward movement would be stopped by colliding with the mob but I guess they're all coated in butter cuz you just slide off to one side or the other >.
Ganabelt was the only interesting boss in the game. I really wanted him to come back.
Same it took me 3 tries to beat him but it also helped wearing element resistance gear too ( I forget which element he is and I'm sorry been awhile since I beat this game)
