Fun fact, the gas mask used by the 2 officers is The German Dräger Simplex gas mask which surprisingly was manafactured very close to the exact same date of when the Nazis took over in Wolfenstien. This gas mask is indeed very special as it was the Origin of the Israeli Model 4 gas mask we all know and love only to find that it wasn't a new mask, to say it was a copy of what Germany originally made ,both countries have my favor ,but just remember Germany had it first👍😉

funny the game is all about the germans stealing 'ancient jewish magic' to build their tech when most israeli tech is based on nazi designs
Germany used it in the first World War to defeat Russians using toxic gas made by German scientist Fritz Haber AKA "Father of the Chemical Warfare". Also used it in crops, which saved Millions of people in the aftermath of WWI (the event of "The Great Depression").
It is a good design.

This is one of the games with irresistibly fascinating lore, and so amazingly presented. While the game still stands as fascinating to read about, it would obviously be much more fun to actually play the game, seeing as you get to kill Nazis in however way you please.

this trailer was probably the first time an advertisement for something made me want to immediately buy the thing, and now in 2020 I'm watching this trailer again and I immediately want to go and buy the new order so I can experience it again on PS4.
I've never been so hyped for a video game title release as I was for New Order. And this was at 26 years old, way passed the time when I was gaming regularly

This trailer is probably the best trailer I have seen in a long time. Didn't hype the game up too much, but offered a look into the game just enough to get you invested, while offering a believable glimpse into an alternate history. This game, along with the trailer, are my favorite things to come out of the game releases in 2014

Just Someone On the Internet I have a whole rant pre-typed for that game and here you go.
I loved the first game and I'm not a multiplayer man I love singleplayer games most of my problems stem from the end game and the story lets talk about gameplay first the main story is too short the campaign is like 9 hrs long and the end game is going back to the same levels to kill one guy (the uber komandos) and restart and repeat at first grace will give some backstory on the guy you kill but after awhile she says nothing and you just kill the guy in the same god dang level you already played and this is not going to the level kill comeback no there is one more step you need enigma codes that you get from killing commanders to unlock the uber komados so you know what that means back to the same levels to get more codes just to unlock komados and go to the same levels again. (That ends my spoiler-free rant I'm now going to spoil the game. ) there is only one level in the game that changes when you come back and that's texas because the area is destroyed in the main story so the nazis fix it for a "historically accurate" movie ie the devs wanted an excuse to use the same models but at least its something, what do you think you get after you do this like 12 times a new level were you kill another uber Komando but on the way the level just reuses the same assets from the New York level and fills the level with nothing but super soldiers and at the end you fight the final boss again with no alterations and kill the Uber Komando and after that no cutscene no yay you did it you get nothing, nothing at all the game just ends. Now on to the story section at the beginning of the game they have a recap of the first game where you remake the choice from the beginning of the first game then they kill Caroline not Wyatt or Fergus and that right there just doomed the story to be bad as there could not be a choice that would change the game later because it would have been too much work to have a Wyatt and Fergus timeline for all the choices what they should have done is kill either Wyatt or Fergus and let Caroline live as Caroline was not a big character in the last game yet they make a big deal about her death but if they killed Wyatt or Fergus that's the person you chose in the first game that's the person you survived with if you played the first game the death of the person you chose would have been more impactful on you the player as well as the characters in game and at the same time, they could have opened up the door to a new choice such as having one of the resistance leaders you recruit dying Maybe you get a choice to go save one personly while someone else goes to save the other one but fails so you end up doing your job but the other is dead and that's just a spit ball idea. Overall this game holds nothing to the first one and the fact that they thought to release the game like this makes me think the first game was a fluke and not the product of talented people.

I remember when the guys at the store where I buy most of my games, offered me this one when it first came out. I glanced at the box and decided to pass on it for the time being. Recently, I bought it on a sale on the PS digital store, and man, I'm loving it so much!! As soon as I finish it, I plan on getting 'The Old Blood'. And, of course, 'The New Colossus' will follow as soon as it comes available.

One of the greatest soundtracks made in a game in history.
The first shooter game I ever played was Castle Wolfenstein as a black and white hex game with sprites. It was on a floppy disk. Windows hadn't even been dreamed of then. However when you shot a German, a raspy voice would exclaim "Ach, Schisse!" I knew I had to have it. The art in this is simply amazing. Don't just play this; take the time to remember that every pixel and sound you hear was created by an artist out of nothing.
And when you killed Hilter he cried "Auf wiedersehen, Eva!"

In the end of the trailer you can see the record. If you go the the site of Wolfenstein and go at Neumond, you will see other songs that were used in previous trailers.
This song is not present there, yet, and I hope they upload it soon.
''House of the Rising Sun'' is not by The Animals. It's a traditional folk song, that originates as far as 1920's (maybe even further). The oldest record found, was by Clarence Ashley and Gwen Foster, was recorded at 1934.
The Animals were the first ones who had a commercial success with the song, but they have NOTHING to do with the creation of it.

Such a great game, with great mix of good gameplay and story with well balanced humour and dark elements. Shame The New Colossus failed to reach such balance, while Youngblood was a disaster.
