@@IvaTaiwan Thanks for your question. The reason I didn’t include Vietnam on my top 10 list is the fact that there’s no specific retirement visa. As of right now the only way to retire there is to go through an investment or business visa, which requires a lot of money. If you’re able to work around that the cost-of-living is great and it’s safe there so there’s a lot of pluses with one big minus.
Living your retirement years in a country that is not yours, completely deprived of your roots, immersed in a different culture, in relationship with a language whose nuances you will never understand and far from your loved ones and friends of all life, is absolutely one of the most infinitely sad things a man can do. I pity those who make this unfortunate choice.
