Augusta, in general, has got some incredible potential; It just needs a little gussying up. It has a wonderful college, beautiful buildings, and historical significance. Just about everything a great city needs.

Yeah it's sad, Fort Discovery has been bought out by a business now providing info security type work.. We did a video for the company not too long ago. There are still hints of Fort Discovery around, they still have the water spinning ball out front and the big pinball clock in the foyer.

+Bobbie Utley come on back! Many years ( even though I'm still a young man) I spent away from Augusta thinking the city was small, slow, and underdeveloped economically. Recently I have moved back to the area with a mindset change! Your last name is familiar in the area a Rev now but he was a coach at one time I believe! Take care and visit Augusta!
Come back to Augusta, Ga! The C.S.R.A has taken great strides in becoming an economic and social force. Growth is being experienced at a rapid rate in the area, thanks to , Technology companies, Customer service, Retailers etc. Take some time and visit! You will not be disappointed! Ah downtown Augusta. How things have changed. Though some places have come and gone, The Hangnail, Fierce, The Haven (Good riddance), it will still be the same. I don't think anything can make downtown more than what it is now.

thanks! I was using the stock X3 cam on an inspire 1. i use adobe premiere cc to add/enhance the skies. for me it's Far superior than fcp I used for yrs.

Someone does live streams on AL, he said he likes it but if he films, people in town might know him and the cops might pull him over if negative things are said in the chat. Im like, this is still America isnt it? U make it sound like Baghdad. lol. He told me if i brake checked people tailing me, someone would pull out a gun.
He can have a gun on him, but seems like, unless he was over exaggerating that people will gossip about stuff like that and the cops might pull him as it can be done for no good reason .Hes new to AL and he doesnt want to put attention on him, but he does have a big channel kind of where he goes around and tells people the towns are nice and relaxed.. like Prattville.
But I wouldnt think its as modern to where people even look on the internet all the time. I have had someone come up to me before here though, and asked if I was _ _ name on utube, I said I was.

What drone are you using and how did you get that shot at 2:20 with the city and the stars in focus? What settings did you use?
Raynell Holmes hey, well I was using an Inspire1 back then and at 2:54 I mentioned that all stars were added in post. The Inspire1 cam had some grain in the very dark shots and removing that removed most of the sparse natural stars, so I fixed that and every other night shot with animated stars.
The daytime skies were mostly enhancing what was there, wt just a few replacements..

Columbia is about an hour from Augusta and has 64,000 less people. But you can see that Columbia is more prosperous. The median income is eventually identical. Having said that, Augusta is the second largest city in GA. It has an Army base with a NSA site and newly stood up Cyber Command. Yet, Augusta is still like a ghetto. What gives? Good old boy system.

Video gets a 8/10 for me, I would rather see a few shots of Augusta when its not First Friday or Arts in the Heart weekend, just so people can see how it usually is. The music gets a 0/10, I had to mute it. Better set to some James Brown if you ask me!
Loved the video but wasn't too crazy about the music. "Georgia on my Mind" by Ray Charles would have made it even more beautiful!

Nice video. I really like the song too. But, honestly, this is making Augusta seem wayyyy more impressive than it really is. It has cute, little bits, agriculture, and golf. But it's not really very "city life", which is what this video made it seem like. I've lived there for nine years, so that's an educated opinion. Then again, that's just my opinion. From a quality point of view, great!

Great footage but numerous FAA regulations may have been violated by today's regulations. Other drone flyers should be made aware of this.
+natureflixs1 Well, it's hard to believe but we had an insured production crew on the ground with me with a designated spotter directly under the drone while flying only inches to a few feet above his raised hands (when shooting around people and in public spaces) with grab handles on the drone. We also had a police escort for most of the street shots (notice the police car in the middle of the street in one shot) and did everything we could to avoid breaking the rules. But for sure shots like this would be hard to repeat now a days with drones being misused and so taboo. I've too had my fair share of learning experiences in the past with this technology.

Downtown rarely looks like this. Most of downtown is boarded up. Buildings decaying all over the place. This video doesn’t show the real side of Augusta
but its quiet. I like the fact not a lot of traffic and yupsters exist like in the Pacific NW, places like Porkland. Thinking of coming down.
