Ok, I was born and raised here and, despite having lived in many other places in Georgia and other states, Augusta will always be home for me. Being from here I can honestly say that, like cities all over the U.S., it has it's beautiful places and it's disgusting places. This vid was amazing quality and captures a lot of the downtown Riverwalk area but Augusta is way bigger than that small amount showed here. The pace here is kinda in the middle, meaning there aren't horrific traffic jams or people being piled on top of each other because of limited living space and it isn't some middle of nowhere country town with 2 restaurants and 3 gas stations and one grocery store. People say it's a retirement town or just somewhere people just move here to work but, it's so much more than that. People here usually take the time to talk to each other when going into a store or restaurant and when someone is in need of help or something, we come together and do all we can to lend a hand. I'll admit that there isn't much to do activity wise since they've taken away so much of the fun things that used to be here, but Augusta is practically an hour or two away from all the places in Georgia that offer those things. It's almost exactly in between Atlanta and Savannah and there are also many places in South Carolina, like Myrtle Beach and Charleston, that aren't more than a couple hours away. So Augusta has the beneficial advantage of having access to many different places without driving 3-4 hours or more. All in all, Augusta should most definitely create more places for people who enjoy doing family activities and things like that but it is still an amazing place to visit or live despite the lack of those things. If u come here and think it's boring, you're mistaken. U just have to know people who know where the action is. Yes, Augusta can be a bit laid back and relaxed but, we don't have cops harassing and shooting innocent people just because of their race and, most people here tend to be less stressed out than the people in bigger cities, so it's all about your perspective really. I love it here even though it can get boring but thankfully I have a very creative mind so I know how to entertain myself. I enjoyed this vid and I would love for there to be more videos made that show all of Augusta's beautiful landscape if possible. Thanks for taking the time to create this because I honestly think Augusta is underrated at times. MUCH LOVE AND INFINITE BLESSINGS TO U MY FRIEND 💖 💖🙏 🙏✌ ✌

Bridges, river, trees and building tops -- thanks for wasting 200 seconds of my life.

Downtown Augusta is nothing but bar-fly joints and half-closed businesses. There isn't any entertainment. All they show is a river and trees! They DON'T show places in Augusta!

Marty Stevens sure, the city is partly dying in Augusta, but it’ll continue to grow

kurdish mapper What killed Augusta was Regency Mall in the '70's. Then downtown started dying. The center median on Broad Street didn't help. Bus service died on Broad Street. Now they're trying to revitalise Augusta with MORE buildings to make it 'look like' Augusta is prospering. The Botanical Garden was a flop. The museum died. The new library is hardly used. Greyhound is hardly used. Now they have a water runoff tax! The 'rich' people have left. Now it's retired people and people with jobs and families that can't move. Evans used to be country and now it has lots of shopping plazas! Downtown needs to be torn down and completely rebuilt. City bus service on Wrightsboro Rd. is sparce. Augusta don't do anything but chase off it's citizens!

      Marty Stevens Wow
Interesting..... But, sad. I was hoping and thought from reading / hearing things were starting to look up in some cases.
