    What Augusta has a beautiful river walk, beautiful parks, and I love their shopping centers. A lot of shopping you can do. Yes!

    I totally understand about southern living. I love it here in Texas where you get a conversation at the register and a big God Bless You when you are leaving. And it’s a balmy 75 degrees right now. I’m staying. 😁

    Lol I've been in Augusta for about 6 months and blowing the horns part is true. I stay honking my horn and I rarely hear anyone honk lmao! It amazes me how everyone just runs through red lights 🙀🙀. Also, the bugs!! Yes lol but so far I loveeee it here. So much beautiful mother nature to explore⛰ 🌳

      Yep rarely do I hear horns in our area and yes ...running the the red lights! That was a BIG adjustment for me - and literally running red lights with police officers- it’s just normal here. The nature I wouldn’t trade for anything- I love it too..

    I lived in Augusta GA for a year and uber was my best transportation getting around. Now I live in North Augusta SC and I am around everything I need so I can walk to everything but uber is still my best transportation.

    Small urban city with some major talent thriving through out overall good city if you utilize your resources. Coming from other major cities people will talk to you hold a conversation compared to the rudeness you’ll find in other places. Reminds me of Atlanta before urbanization.

    Augusta is the second largest city in Georgia. As well as the second oldest city in Georgia.

      I hope to see you and myself soon in Augusta. I like Augusta I had been there for two months.I remember most avenues and parks. I like Savanna river and that's area. It's amazing for cyclist, hiking, and running 🏃 . Pray for me to visit Augusta again.

      @@yusufmummy2717 Augusta has more populations than Columbus does. I really don’t know where you’re getting your information but Columbus, Georgia ranks 4th largest city since the the release of the 2019-2020 census and 2019 economic reports.

    I live in National Hills, right across the street from the Augusta National Golf course, (masters). During that week there are so many people here and traffic Is a nightmare. I've lived here all my life and love it. 💘 we're nothing like Atlanta, we're a small city with a small town feel. Of course there are bad spots in our town but that's everywhere.

    Delays here can get very heavy it depend what time it is and Augusta have cabs we used to them sometimes and more roads are getting built Augusta has that city life.

      @22 Cashout I’ve seen Ubers here but I haven’t personally seen cabs and it’s quite different for me coming from a major city moving to Augusta... the traffic here can’t compare to what I’m accustomed to.

      Right But Traffic is sure getting worst with more waiting and On I-20 its non stop traffic it's always busy and anytime it can stop out of the middle of no where same for I-520 but that's because the population in different areas in areas and more jobs

      But Augusta is getting into that real big city life with a whole new jamebrown arena comming and its going to be big like you going to a NBA And a warterpark with along dave & buster's but I like what they doing its right now a fast growing city.

    Augusta does have museums. We have the Morris Museum of Art, the Augusta Museum of History, Laney Walker Museum of Black History, The Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson, Ezekiel Harris House, and these are just a few. They been around for a long time.

    Augusta is actually now one of the big cities in the USA so you really can't call it small no more cause now it's big like more things are coming to the city night life is getting better with more cars on the interstates because now it be crowded and here I here honking all the time it depends were you at And Augusta traffic used to be very fast during rush hour but now you stop here like it is in Atlanta anytime but the city is a fast growing city along with serburs Evans GA.

      Right but they say that both about Atlanta and Augusta I guess it depends what city you come from but the night life here is getting way better for the young crowd the new clubs the new bars music at night top golf restaurants and more and even more is comming.

    Augusta does also have the main Airport called Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field which is located on Hwy 56 Spur (Doug Bernard Parkway); 4 miles south of I-520 East (Bobby Jones Expressway).

    Augusta has the best dental school who has great dental service with cheaper dental fees . The fairgrounds are bigger and able enough to have bigger fairs and events .

    Consider living in South Augusta. Goshen Plantation has homes on a golf course and these homes were built stronger and of better materials. There is no HOA!!
    It has that Mayberry feeling.

      Yep ...After being here for five years I just saw a cab two weeks ago in Richmond County. Nothing nearly like downtown of New York or Chicago which every other car is a cab.

      Yeah unfortunately public transportation in Augusta is scarce compared to larger cities like Chicago and New York which is probably why so many people have cars here.

    Um, 150 miles east of Atl! Not west! And as far as recreation is concerned, newcomers should definitely consider Lake Storm Thurmond, or as the local still call Clark’s Hill, one of the largest man-made lakes east of the Mississippi.

    I think I heard you say there are no cabs/taxis in Augusta. Does that apply to all of Augusta or just to the areas outside of the Augusta city limits? Thanks! (Love your video!)

      Thanks and funny thing is since recording the video I have seen a couple of cabs in the Richmond County area… But I still haven’t seen any in Columbia County - at least not yet. But I’m sure they probably come here since they’re in Richmond County. (Augusta is in Richmond County)

      Next time mention the nice weather and that most of the time severe weather goes around to the north and south of Augusta, not through Augusta. I have been here 33 years and noticed that. It fascinates me, is truly a blessing from God and should not be taken for granted. Has anyone else noticed this?

      I moved out of Augusta my hometown lol. Since leaving I have found more things to do that Augusta can do downtown but it never really happens heck louisville, ky uses the downtown area all the time but i am not in Kentucky anymore now i am at fort hood.

      Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes we have Doordash and Amazon… Richmond County which is where Augusta is has public busses but Columbia County doesn’t. No need to worry though because both counties have Uber, Lyft and I’m now starting to notice taxis.

    I moved here 4 years ago from the DC area. Neighborhoods are nice and pace is slower. The commutes are shorter time frame, but very stressful traffic as drivers do not like to stop or slow down. Call your car insurance and check to see if your rates will increase if you move here (to this State and/or SC). Our SC neighbors are the #3 worst drivers in the US (according to AAA).

    I know not everybody is like this but I had bad experience moving to Augusta Georgia all my neighbors not all I'd say about half my neighbors we're griping complaining about me walking my dog they want to make sure that they stayed in the street so me my dog stayed in the street and versus the way they went buy it they weren't nice friendly tone they yelled it wasn't pleasant with me at all and made it where I didn't want to be outside and walk at all and made it where I didn't like the neighborhood at all it was a nice neighborhood they care about their lawns and I understand that and that's why I picked up at after my dog and everything but I didn't even like the neighborhood I had to take her to somewhere else and I just said my yard when I was there not leave the yard I didn't want to hear Indian neighbors griping complaining and I could be in the street they could still driving the plane I did I just want to hear it at first I really loved it and I loved the area's real beautiful the best people change my perception pretty quick

      Oh wow that’s so unfortunate.....to live in an area you enjoy but to live in a neighborhood where you deal with that had to be unsettling. Sounds like the neighborhood you lived in didn’t have sidewalks which is an amenity that not all neighborhoods in the Augusta have. As far as the people, there are good and bad people everywhere and I’m sure that was an uncomfortable experience for you. Hopefully your good experiences of living in Augusta outweighed the bad.

      That’s right - I saw a snake for the first time here this past summer so it had been five years before I spotted one… And yes deer we were accustomed to seeing them in the Midwest I’m accustomed to seeing as being from the Midwest. Oh but wait you just reminded me… Armadillos… That’s something we see as road kill here and Crawford Creek is beautiful!

      @@LivinginAugustaGeorgia sports, teaching classes like a simple trade like they used to have in schools before they took them outta schools, boys and girls club that provide transportation for the less fortunate, anything that catches a child's attention ... Idk b creative with all this technology there has to be something for the kids that will distract them from the mess... It just seems like there are tons of negative things to do and no one can come up with anything positive that will benefit both fortunate and unfortunate children... It's almost as if you are in a lower class you don't have the same opportunities as middle class or upper class because your finances don't match your poverty level is too extreme... if you want to know more about what I mean and more about my experience since I've been here in Augusta I will email u my number I have three boys and one daughter my oldest son plays football very very good but all of a sudden when life hit it was nothing I could do no more and couldn't find no help

      lol… I made the correction in my comment section … yes Augusta has cabs but they’re not seen as often in Columbia County particularly with Uber and Lyft now in place of cabs. In fact you can go months without seeing a cab and you don’t nearly see them as often as the big cities which you can easily see 20 to 30 on a street at a time in those areas like Chgo and NY.

      Yes same here… Exterminating is recommended to be done quarterly. That keeps us in good shape. If you consider moving here just try to avoid living near a wooded area.
