Good job, so far the best maintenance video out there, most people forget to do proper maintenance and then they cry whey see the repair bill from dealer, i no longer feel sorry for them, keep up good work!
Thank you very much for taking the time to document all the stages of this maintenance. I have a 2002 Kubota KX 61-2, and I need to do this maintenance. The machine still works very well, and I want it to continue to work well for many more years. What I fear is that the main drive drain and filler bolts are seized by rust.
Your welcome, clean around the edges of the bolt with a nylon brush or old tooth brush and some wd-40. Spray every day for a couple days before you plan to do the maintenance. Best of luck.
Probably the most informative video I have watched on the Kubota Excavator. I have a U17 but it is very similar. Thanks for hitting all of the points on filters and greasing. Thumbs Up to This Video..
Great informative maintenance video on the Kubota! 👍 Preventative maintenance on these mini's can save you a big unnecessary repair bill. Looking for the tilt bucket video next as that is the next addition for my KX 121-3.
Thank you for the thorough service explanation! I just bought a 91-3 with 1500 hours on it. I will go through this complete service before I start using it…I have no previous maintenance records. May I ask what grease do you prefer to use? Thanks again….
Your welcome, I'm glad you found it helpful. I use schaeffer #238. It has 5% moly and is very thick. The only downside is you have to order it by the case. If you don't want to order that much, just get something that has 5% moly in it. I use to use Red n Tacky but I felt it didn't stay in the pins very well.
I have a similar machine but it's a kx161-3 super series. Are you able to change this machine to a one way flow for a brush cutter so you can use the trigger? Can you make a how to video on that?
Hello, love your work maybe you might have knowledge on a kubota mini excavator X040-4 with 1802 hrs. She fires up runs for 30-60 seconds then dies out. On the computer in the 2 fault codes pop up 064 Engine and 076 DPF is clogged. Got the DPF baked in the mean time replaced primarily and sec fuel filters cracked the lines she's getting fuse. Got the DPF back connected all the thermo sensors. Still same issue. Hooked up a diesel scanner found multiple fuel pressure sensors "high" and rail pressure issues, crankcase sensors issue. I've spoke to 3 different techs with Kubota one is say bec of DPF issues the kubota pcm/ecm shuts down after 4 attempts for safety reasons. Other tech told me "no" the bio diesel might have crystallized and I need a new common fuel rail with the sensors and new lines. Can you please help me I'm stuck.
I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with those codes or that issue. I would try what the dealer recommended. Good luck with your machine, let me know how it turns out
Thank you so much! As someone who is new to having an excavator...and as a woman with no prior mechanical experience, I really appreciated your video!
You're welcome, Glad to help!

Amazing video, I just bought this machine and it is very helpful. Cheers
Very informative video, just what I was looking for to service my Kubota KX71-S.
crack the oil filler cap or dipstick so the motor can vent, it will drain WAY faster

Yes this can be changed to one way flow but I have yet to use that function. When I do I'll be sure to record how it goes. Thanks for watching
Great vid. Just what I was looking for. Thanks!
Brilliant 👌🏽👌🏽
Thank you
