Mel Brooks is the KING of anachronism. He never brings any attention to it, but it’s always as clear as day. That “Exit” sign is perfect!!! It’s not even the main joke of that clip!! 😂😂
Nobody gives Mel Brooks enough MAD PROPS for such AMAZING fight scenes and special FX in an era of digitalisation and CGI. This dude was a REVOLUTIONARY.
I felt like that today when I went to lunch and one of those 'birthday' claps are being done in a restaurant? "...:cups ears: I hope its worth THE NOISE!" lmao
if you noticed the way most of those suit of armor fell you can see the way the extras that fell were actors in the suits, the suits with the actors try catching their fall.
It kills me that the "EXIT" sign is there. It's so wrong and not correct to the time period. Every historian should know, "EXIT" signs were neon orange in medieval times.
only mel brooks can make me forgive late medieval plate armor in a robin hood movie
@Commander Keen 0:54 didn’t notice that at first
13th century castles were pioneers in safety.
One of those guys eh?
I don't know if the exit sign was from the correct time period either

Love how there's Knights beside Robin and they don't even try to grab him.
Thd knights make great heavy infantry if this was serious they would have been harder to fight due to being so well armored lol
Almost like they were there for a domino joke. :)
Yeah, they're like "Hey Robin!".
Robin: "what's up guys!"
:D
They're just following orders... "Surround the Great Hall? Yeah, sure, can do."
Cause it wasn’t in the script! 🤣
The exit sign lol!
that's the joke - exit, stage right. Exit = stage exit. exit right. right wrope. see?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
the electric "exit" sign.
“Exit” sign kills me all the time. But still it is historically correct.
not really, no electricity in medieval times.
@@darlenebuck7825 Then how is that exit sign working? Checkmate.

Pun intended? x)
I don't know how many times I have used the "I hope it's worth THE NOISE!"
His delivery of that line has me laughing from childhood well into my adult years!
That's what I thought when I woke up this morning to guys putting shingles on my roof. "I hope it's worth the NOISE!"
Katie4384 or when you go to _any_ sporting event
@@cdagyekybcrpaa
Or when your dad plays loud music at 7 in the morning
Their doing ma roof 2 right now and it sounds like a pacific rim 🤖👾 is happening

1:01 when the less armoured guards in the foreground are so impressed they just faint 🤣
That exit sign though hahaha awesome
just like watching the old VHS tape i had. just as many pixels.
Cary also voiced baron in the cats returns where he also literally made soldiers fall down while they were lined up like dominos.
They can go as a scrap metal to the MÉH😁
Me: Hey Johnny! Not worth the noise, but worth the comedy!
at :53 lets all take note of the green exit sign above Simon's head. LOL.
"I hope it's worth the NOISE!"
RIP, Richard Lewis.
0:28 Me during a piano tuning.
When you roll two nat 20s in a row
Anyone with Misophonia when they have to do something where they’ll get triggered: I hope it’s worth the NOISE!
I love the EXIT sign in the background.
Anyone see the lit green exit sign just before Robin swung down on the rope.
Hahaha too funny! I hope its worth the noise! Haha
lol, one of my favorite scenes
0:54 aha right rope
I still quote that line for some reason!
While breaking the 4th wall.
RIP Richard Lewis!!!!!
Funny, very FUNNY!
I missed the "EXIT" sign... subtle!
Look at this. It went from royalty to recycling
Little John get the door
These 'Knights' fall like dominos, dominos.
or in their case....DUMBINOS
if you noticed too most of the knights that fell were extras in suits and the other knight suits were empty.
Look Ma, Dominos
Anyone else notice the Exit sign at 0:54 ?
PyroMecha1 it's a silly and great movie.
No, you were the first person to ever notice it. Good spot!
Cue dominos @ 1:01
spoiler it was worth the noise... for robin
1:01 Like dominoes
brOOOOmhilda
I think all the suits of armor were empty
Not all of them. You can see a few who are actual people
Some are mannequins, mostly on stairs, with one or two guys at some places to correct falls and keep the domino effect as needed.
if you noticed the way most of those suit of armor fell you can see the way the extras that fell were actors in the suits, the suits with the actors try catching their fall.
That 240p man
Exist
me too :)
I have a mole?!?!?!?!?!
😆 yea his mole goes from left to right to in the middle of his forehead.
@@darlenebuck7825 (sigh) you missed the joke.
