Buy the Unmarked boot. You will not be disappointed. I have two pairs and have recently ordered a pair of sneakers. They fit my foot perfectly and are fantastic
I don’t really comment much but I always look forward to watching your videos every week. It’s funny how expensive the repo military clothing costs knowing I grew up in the 80s wearing the real deal coats and pants my dad gave me from his 22 years of service. I just beat that stuff up.

I very much appreciate when you introduce and discuss things that are just beautifully made and cool even if they are not to your tastes or expensive, don't necessarily fit the model of practical/affordable (almost) workwear. That Dehen is very cool and I'm not likely to go for it because it doesn't fit my lifestyle---but it sure is cool. And those Unmarked boots, I share exactly your concern---why didn't they give us a bit more information? But dang, they look great and for a good price. Thanks for this channel, Carl. TBH, I prefer this place to your more "practical" reviews of affordable stuff---not that that isn't cool but this serves another, fun and interesting purpose.

Mt wife has a pair of Cordobes riding boots on the way. Like the engineer, the price on them was unbelievable. Can't wait to see what you think when you get them.
Buy UES direct from them. Generally significantly cheaper and they ship stupid fast.
We have a golden doodle as well and she is incredible, however our doodle loves to run away
Re: Dehen raincoat.
I can’t comment to that specifically but price being equal I would rather own a waxed jacket such as a Barbour over a comparable Arcteryx 9/10 times.
While waxed cotton is not truly waterproof I’ve never had water seep into my Barbour except for when it clearly needed a rewaxing and in the time I have had my single Barbour I have retaped seams on two goretex jackets and DWR sprayed an additional one. $400 for a Barbour or $400 for an Arc’teryx with “budget” goretex - only one of them will be just as usable in 10 years.
Dehen’s price is too high and I think it misses some important features (inner cuffs, lining, and adjustable fit) but I think it might be a more effective garment than you seem to credit it for.

With regard to why the Corlection model appears to be leaning one way, it's possible that it's just a quirk of that person's body. We all have asymmetry, and it's possible the model was born in such a way that they lean a certain way. Some legs are slightly longer with than the other, some folks have spinal issues, etc.

I usually prefer when people do their own spin on military jackets. for example I would much rather have a dark waxed canvas B10/15 than the original reflective satin. Either way we only win lol

I have the unmarked Yulka hiking boots in lined suede. I emailed them to ask where the leather is from. They got back to me the next day with LeFarc tannery.
If you email them, write simple short sentences as their English isn’t great.

My Córdoba’s service boots delaminated after three wears. Cheap flimsy leather. Rough finishing. Wanted to like but was waste of $300

I get that engineer boots are more costly, but the bigger problem imo is most of the companies making them are higher end boot makers. If Thursday made an engineer with a decent slim design, I could see it flying off the shelves.

Been eyeing UES lately. I plan to get something in the future. That traveler shirt looks great. I did just get a 3 pack of the Dehen heavy shirts while they had their sale going. I really like the feel of the shirts, they feel solid and they work with my body type well. I have a couple of their baseball caps too, love the different fabrics they use.
That Shacket is kind of awful. Nice idea to recycle but wow. Kind of like throwing all your leftovers in a stew pot and calling it a stew. But if I had no clothes and I needed something to put on my naked body so I wouldn't be exposed and freeze, I guess it would work fine. But hey, to each his/her own. In the 80s I remember leather jackets that were patchwork like that. Still gives me the willies thinking about it. Anyway, thanks for all the ideas tho!

Hoods are rarely useful to me. I live in a city where it rains 8 months outta the year 😅
I find that hoods interfere with peripheral vision and hearing which can be deadly on job sites or even when crossing the road. A hood on a rain jacket can be a good feature so long as it stows away neatly because 9/10 times I’m more comfortable just wearing a ball cap to keep the rain off, unless it’s a downpour.

Those unmarked are perfect design in proportion and color. I didn't expect to see that monkey boot pattern that I would like to much except Clinch ones. Same as I didn't find any interesting lace to toe boots until I saw Sandmann quartermasters that I'm planning for next pair. I saw them in red and it didn't stroke a cord but in this color/leather, unbelievable

I just havent ever had a zipper fail on my that didnt have "Ideal" on the pull tab

You are 100% right. Those unmarked boots look so good ,BUT real boot people wants to know what leather is it and from where . There's 100s of boots that look good but will crumble breakdown ect. because the company uses cheap leather and construction..I would wait to hear if someone found out what leather is being used.
