- Last week, the New York Times reported that Biden approved a classified “secret nuclear strategy” in March which prepares the U.S. military for a simultaneous nuclear strike to “deter” China, Russia and North Korea. On this episode, historian Peter Kuznick joins Amanda and KJ to discuss this new development, how U.S. scaremongering over China’s nuclear weapons is part of a propaganda campaign to normalize nuclear war, and the dangerous road this new strategy takes us toward.

I disagree with the view expressed in this video that Russia is seemingly incapable of winning in Ukraine. Russia has taken the Russian speaking regions of Crimea and Donbass, and has no desire to take the entire Ukraine, which Russia would have to shoulder the burden of rebuilding if it takes over.
Odessa is left alone for the moment, first, as a bargaining chip in any negotiations, and, second, as another front to split Ukrainian forces should Russia is left with no choice but to take Kyiv.
Also, China is not a military threat to the US as it has no desire to dominate the world. It is a military threat to the US only in East Asia, but the US has no business beating the war drums there, half a globe away. I live in East Asia, and I can tell you most people there are sick and tired of outsiders (the US, UK and Australia) going into the region to cause trouble.

Peter Kuznick comment that "Russia couldn't even defeat Ukraine" is telling. Ukraine *has been* defeated in all but signing the surrender documents. Full surrender to Russia is the only way that war ends, alluding to anything else is like stating the world is flat at this point. And no, I don't love Putin, not that that changes the shape of the world.
I think that statement is less cope if you look at it from the angle of people claiming Russha is going to try and conquer all of Europe.

WW2 Russia sacrificed 25 million young men to free Europe as the USSR, in 1993/94 their interest rate on IMF loan was 100% plus transaction fees!The trouble is the US, UK and NATO were convinced that with 50 countries preparing/ arming Ukraine, victory will be theirs within weeks, Russia will be defeated and they can run over every single Soviet State and take their natural resources! That would open the way to Asian countries to conquer, same as Palestine, if all are killed or taken in by countries they tried to bribe, then $30 trillion worth of Palestine's gas would be theirs, and give them opportunity to over run the Middle East and Africa!

I wish we could go back to the 90s and the Clinton Administration. Aside from a few minor skirmishes in Bosnia and Kuwait, there was no hostility and we felt so much safer and hopeful about the future. Everything was so much better. People were happier and prosperous.
