The coconut seller is selling ripe coconut (Thenga in Malayalam). This is not used for drinking and is used only for grinding to use in curry or to take coconut milk or coconut oil, The coconut which is used for drinking is bigger tender coconut (Karikku in Malayalam), he was confused when you asked for it. The difference between the 2 is the time nut is left in the tree, usually Karikku has to be harvested within 20 days or so after that water content in the coconut reduces considerably and the taste also changes. When it becomes Thenga it will be smaller nut the outer shell hardens meat portion becomes thicker and bulkier. The seller was confused when you asked him for coconut (because no one drinks water from a ripe coconut Thenga) that is why he discarded the water.
@@TheStoryOfYouness well you can drink it there no prohibition , but green ones are best , you would not want artificial pakaged one , natural green pack .

Go to Ernakulam, it's the modern side of Kochi, also go to Cherai beach, take a boat ride from fort Kochi to Vypin island and from there take bus to Cherai beach
In kerala everyone eat beef including hindus. hindus don't workship cow here in kerala. The famous kerala dish is porotta and beef fry❤ it's an emotion for all of us
Actually, those coconuts were not for drinking. There are so many purposes, including cooking and offering to temples. That's why it looks peeled. If you wanna drink coconut water, you should find specific shops or vendors who sell tender coconut. It was literally a misunderstanding that happened between you and the vendor.
The coconut selling man was trying to show you that it is fine inside. Shopkeeper does like that to show quality. Since you asked to show he offers the it to you. Some people looking for quality buys in more amounts. That's it. That type of coconut is not selled to drink water from it, instead big ones which are early stage of it is served to drink for coconut lovers. Hope you understood this concept.
That was matured coconut it is only have little bit water. To drink Coconut water you have to get the early stage coconut. There was a miscommunication
31:03 It was a ripe coconut. Its water can be drunk and it can be eaten too. He broke it so that you could eat the white part of it. It is also used in various Hindu rituals.
You can see these types of kind and generous people only in Kerala. But, not in any other states of India. So If you go to other sates, just be a bit careful. You may get scammed.
There are kind people all over India - not just in Kerala. I am originally from Kerala as well, but I wouldn’t call rest of India as scammers. There are really nice, kind people in Uttarakhand, Himachal, Ladakh etc etc People are busy in big cities like Mumbai and Delhi. But, even in those big cities if you talk to the local people, they will pay for your food.
Got to try: 1 Beef and parotta 2 Meat or fish cutlets (like a British influence I'm guessing) 3 Shrimp & meat pickle 4 Pal-Appam and chicken curry/stew 5 Idiyappam and egg curry or with Chicken Stew 6 Thattukada Chicken Fry 7 Mussles or Oyster stir fry 8 Kerala prawn curry and pithari 9 Mutton curry 10 Potichori 11 Baby Chicken Fry with Lime Juice (@Kethel’s Chicken ) 12 Duck curry and kal-appam 13 Toddy shop foods 14 Squid ring fry 15 Beef fry and parotta 16 Kerala Fish Curry & rice 17 Kottu roti/parata (if done right, its like a pasta dish) 18 Kerala Erachi Varutharacha Curry (lamb curry) 19 El Sadhya 20 Thelassary birani or Malbari biryani at Paragon 21 Banana Fitters 22 Masala puri (fried bread and potato curry) 23 Semiya payasam 24 Halwa (thick gelatinous jelly with cashews, orange or black in color) 25 Chatti Pathri 26 Errissery (pumpkin or squash) 27 Chicken perattu 28 Erachi pidi 29 Chakka Varatti
@31:05 HE JUST SHOWED THAT COCONUT WAS GOOD QUALITY,AND THAT KIND OF COCONUT WATER IS NOT FOR DRINKING, BASICALLY WE USE THAT COCONUT TO PREPARE FOOD(MOSTLY FOR "CURRY" OR "SAMBAR" OR "CHUTNEY" ETC),AND WE ALSO USE FOR WORSHIPPING GODS(IN HINDUS)
I don’t know why that local guy ordered poori. The first guy and the guy at the counter was right - Idly and vada would have been a much better choice (healthy too). Poori masala is not a Kerala dish.
That was not drinking coconut.... They are green in color...u will get them in plenty in beaches.. While samosa are better in North India.. Briyani is more famous in North apart from Hyderabadi Biriyani..
That coconut is not for water. That is for the meat of the coconut. The coconut you should have went for is the green one. I think you haven't tried coconut before. Language barrier is also the issue here.
Bro travel vlogging is good. You showing the sights and culture, we greatly appreciate. But, but, but Don't give historical facts without doing a bit of research. Chinese sailors etc. came way before 15th century. In that century, Portuguese arrived. Then Cochin's name doesn't mean "Like China" it means small lagoon from the malayalam words "kochu azhi" as in Malayalam we call the city as Kochi not Cochin.
I know this is not a place to say this but , justin tredeu is ruining 🇨🇦 candas image like Acting like a joker i dont know what canadian people think about him like

Ah okay that makes sense thank you for clarifying!
Okay make sense thanks for letting me know
That was matured coconut it is only have little bit water. To drink Coconut water you have to get the early stage coconut. There was a miscommunication

31:03 It was a ripe coconut. Its water can be drunk and it can be eaten too. He broke it so that you could eat the white part of it. It is also used in various Hindu rituals.
Yes my mistake
locals are friendly there
Yes super friendly!
Welcome to India ❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you!
Thank you!
Habebee welcome to Kerala 🌴🌴🌊
Thank you!
You can see these types of kind and generous people only in Kerala. But, not in any other states of India. So If you go to other sates, just be a bit careful. You may get scammed.
Love kerala
There are kind people all over India - not just in Kerala. I am originally from Kerala as well, but I wouldn’t call rest of India as scammers. There are really nice, kind people in Uttarakhand, Himachal, Ladakh etc etc
People are busy in big cities like Mumbai and Delhi. But, even in those big cities if you talk to the local people, they will pay for your food.
Nice video very good video
Thank you!

Come to sri lanka 🇱🇰 ❤
Inshallah I will!
@31:05
HE JUST SHOWED THAT COCONUT WAS GOOD QUALITY,AND THAT KIND OF COCONUT WATER IS NOT FOR DRINKING, BASICALLY WE USE THAT COCONUT TO PREPARE FOOD(MOSTLY FOR "CURRY" OR "SAMBAR" OR "CHUTNEY" ETC),AND WE ALSO USE FOR WORSHIPPING GODS(IN HINDUS)
Aah ok that makes sense, well at least now I know!
20:27 , thhat man pronounced ida li
my fellow youtbe guy , idaali
even the counter guy get confused , said no idaali
but recomended idali and vada
In Kerala, even 99.99 % of Hindus eat beef 😄
Porotta and beef fry are a must try dishes in Kerala
Okay sounds good would love to try!
I don’t know why that local guy ordered poori. The first guy and the guy at the counter was right - Idly and vada would have been a much better choice (healthy too). Poori masala is not a Kerala dish.
India is land of diversity.....we believe in "unity in diversity"🕉️❤️☪️❤️✝️❤️☸️❤️☦️❤️✡️❤️☯️

Yes very beautiful!
We live in much harmony here in india not like in another countries where you guys fight always i dont know why
Very beautiful!
22:51 uncle misguided you into eating puri aalu, which is not an authentic south dish. You should have eaten idli vada mix with sambar.
Okay thanks for the info!
That coconut is not the tender coconut for drinking. It is for cooking 😊
Oops Lool well now I know😂
That coconut is not for water. That is for the meat of the coconut. The coconut you should have went for is the green one. I think you haven't tried coconut before. Language barrier is also the issue here.
Yes my mistake won’t do that again!
Bro travel vlogging is good. You showing the sights and culture, we greatly appreciate.
But, but, but
Don't give historical facts without doing a bit of research. Chinese sailors etc. came way before 15th century. In that century, Portuguese arrived.
Then Cochin's name doesn't mean "Like China" it means small lagoon from the malayalam words "kochu azhi" as in Malayalam we call the city as Kochi not Cochin.
That coconut is not for drinking. People use coconut flesh for cooking.
Right now I know lol
kerala ❤
This is not coconut bro 😮.he didn't understand you
Ah okay yeah I wasn’t sure so I ended up giving him 10 rupees
India is chaos…just learn to love the bad side of India because next u will find a goood side😂😂😂
