Great video! We have inflatable paddle boards for our kids and would love to get some for adults too, so we can throw everything in the car if we don’t want to fuss with putting our kayaks on the top. That pump looks nice! Ours can only use the 12v outlet, so we’ll look into one like that when we get more inflatables so we can have 2 pumps going at the same time. Where did you guys launch from? We’ve only paddled in the springs/rivers so far in Weeki Wachee and Crystal River, but I’d like to try the gulf some time. I’ve considered launching from Bayport, but my wife’s worried about bull sharks.
Bayport is actually where we launched from for this video. It was the first time launching from there. I was worried about crossing the channel but it wasn't too bad. Bayport has a nice kayak launch, separate from the boat area. We didn't see any sharks but now you will have me looking for them! :)
@@GloriousDayAdventures I heard there are bull shark breeding grounds in the Crystal River area, but maybe they’re not an issue down here. It sounds like Bayport would be worth trying out. I think I saw a paddle trail sign there near the fishing pier
@@Birdman566 yes I saw paddle trail signs too. I need to look into that further. If you like more mangroves and not being in the open water, you could look into Jenkins Creek too. We have just launched our Gheenoe boat from there.
@@GloriousDayAdventures I’ve heard Jenkins Creek and Linda Pedersen are good places to launch from, I just don’t know if I’m ready to try the murkier fresh/brackish water over there. That still makes me a little nervous, though we might leave the kids at home and try it soon.
@@Birdman566 yes agree with that. I guess that’s why we have only launched there with the boat. 😊 I don’t know about the bull shark breeding grounds in crystal river. Good to know!
