There’s no way the Heat could make that proposed deal. The roster would be Jimmy, Bam, Lillard, Richardson, Lowry, Love, Thomas Bryant and Orlando Robinson and no room for other moves. They have to keep at least one of Highsmith, Caleb, Jovic or maybe JJJ to remain somewhat competitive.
Exactly what I was saying, dey already lost max strus and Gabe Vincent, there Is no way they trading Caleb martin, Robinson and the rest, they will have no depth
I guess, he demanded a little too late. Teams had their moves and rosters almost full when Lilliard announced his request for a trade. If this happened prior to free agency, just right after the draft, Miami could still have Vincent and Struss, and it could have been a different story. Other teams could have had a different plan as well, if this had been out earlier.
Yeah I agree, could have worked a bunch of sign and trades etc. But a little too late is an understatement, he should have demanded a trade about four years ago. Or at the very least last off season when he signed that extension. Should have been an extend and trade.

As a PDX/Dame fan - I hope that deal you suggested is the one that goes through.... Dame goes where he wants, and the Blazers get a lot of assets - also maybe Ben Simmons gets reclaimed? Either way, Philly dumps him and replaces him with Herro and a good back up center in Nurkic. There are very few trades that all three teams win, but this looks like one of them!
Miami won’t get this done. Philly won’t trade Maxey for Dame, but he doesn’t want to go there anyway. Boston? They have the asset (Brown), but Dame doesn’t want to go anywhere but Miami. Enjoy Portland, Dame, because you’re going nowhere.
He is under full team control for 3 more years and he doesn’t have a player option until the fourth year where he’ll likely want to pick it up because he’ll be well on the decline. Blazers can trade him anywhere they want for the best package and Dame holds no cards to scare suitors off. Dame wants to guilt them to taking a lesser package but I think he burned all the good will but saving his trade request until after the draft, after they re-signed Grant and all the other teams were out of cap space . Then by demanding the only acceptable partner was one of the teams with the least to offer.
Dame waited until after the draft because he was given the Blazers every damn opportuniyt to make a decent trade. Cronin couldn't get a deal done, but Dame gave him plenty of time.
Dame burned all bridges with Portland after this trade request alone, nevertheless timing. Portland probably wanted to trade him 3 years ago, but with him spouting loyalty and wanting to be a Blazer for life, they couldn't because of the optics. Now that he's older and wanting to chase rings, he's asking for a trade... gtfo, get max value Portland! So for all y'all crying about Dame being loyal, no, Portland was more loyal than Dame in the end.
Obviously Dame is not gonna stay 3 more years in Portland just for that player option. Cuz year after year, Management couldn't surround him with the right pieces. Being one of the best PGs in the last decade, Dame should've obviously gone to the finals at least once. Clearly, his team doesn't have the right pieces. And whose fault is that? Any sane Superstar would leave. And about waiting until draft.... Portland also picked Scoot Henderson(another guard?) Third Overall instead of trading the pick for a nice piece to surround Dame. The first unfaithful step was taken by Management. And of course why would Dame be quiet after that.
Portland will lose either way. Many players know now where NOT to play. I, for my part, won‘t watch any Portland games, anymore (NBA season pass). I’d love to see Dame play somewhere they can appreciate him.
This is just an echo of what's been already said out there by media. Quite the opposite. Dame has been loyal for years. He prefers the Heat. And because he is loyal as you said, he will sit it out than be sent elsewhere. And if he does, this does more damage to Portland as an organization than to Dame.
Yeah, that always baffled me, Dame's been loyal, but the dude was paid a ridiculous amount to be loyal and be the face of the franchise. His loyalty was bought and paid for by Portland.
Are you kidding me? He still gonna get paid a supermax in other team, not as exactly as por but atleast he can compete.. im not surprised if luka and tatum will ask for no trade clause on their next extension
I still think the best course of action for 76ers and Blazers is to figure out whether it's possible for Lillard and Embiid to team up in Portland. Blazers have a lot of stuff a rebuilding 76ers would want and Blazers just gave Grant 5 years. 76ers do not have such commitments outside of Embiid(who's about to be 30 by the way) and presumably Maxey, aside from whom Blazers have no interest in. The big issue I have with the proposed 3 team trade for Nets, Heat and Blazers is Ben Simmons contract going to Portland. Sure, you offload Nurkic but I much rather have him on the roster as a respected veteran on a rebuilding team over having Ben Simmons being anywhere near the young players.
76ers aren't gonna trade embid and Portland is fully committed on the rebuild. thats why the trailblazers said they wanted draft picks for dame. the only reason maimi wants to go all out on a team with 2 soon to be 34 year olds is cause pat riley is retiring in 2 years and want to win now before he retires which is why he's willing to basically fuck the heat in the future. that team with dame and jimmy has a shelf life of at most 2 years before that team isn't contending anymore
Had no idea Donovan Mitchell wore a Lox hat. I might have to make him one of my fav players just off of that. Props for posting that particular clip. Came to the video for something. Left the video with something else 😂
No player ever demands a trade before signing a supermax. NBA should implement a rule where if you sign the supermax then ask out, you should forfeit 30% of the supermax contract, nothing against what Dame did, but he wasn't loyal, he just wanted to get paid like Beal, AD, Jalen Brown, etc. The point of the supermax was so that small market teams could retain their star player, but if the star players sign then dip, then it's useless. It just makes players show their true color, they were never loyal, they just wanted the bag.
@@Jonathan-A.C. then why did he sign a 2 years $120m+ extension last year. He knew Blazers weren't doing anything for him, he even went on a podcast saying that a ring was not his sole purpose. These players know they won't get the supermax anywhere else so they pretend to be loyal and when they sign, that's when they say "trade me".
@@huntermach7356 Because he wanted to stay there. He told them to build around him instead of rebuilding, and they rebuilt, so he then requested a trade. Again, literal bullshit. He’s like the most or one of the most tenured players on any team in today’s game, and he went through many seasons sticking with them despite them not doing enough at all. You can pretend he’s Harden, but he’s not whatsoever
Dame said that he wanted the team to build around him once again and trade the no.3 pick to get another star player to win but Portland did not do that and that's why Dame is now requesting a trade.
As a sixers fan I remember for years dreaming of the pairing of embiid and lillard, but it is scary how much it would cost the team, we are already weak in the support/role players slots in our roster. It is a dream though
Why would Portland want Maxey when they have Scoot, Simons and Sharpe who are all cheaper and play the same position. And is Maxey really better than them?
Here's my piece on Dame's loyalty and choosing his destination. First off, obviously he earned the money he's gotten paid. But you cant say that he's earned every cent past and future, and then talk about how he might be the worst contract in the league in 26-27. Because the truth of the matter is most other teams wouldn't have given him $58.5M at 35 and $63.2M at 36. That's Portland's payment for loyalty. Vice versa, you can't get crazy extensions in future years and long contracts if you're not loyal anf consistent (look at Kyrie). So, $120+M for loyalty seems kinda fair. On top of all that, I don't think the FO or Blazer fans are turning their back on Dame when it comes to the trade request. If packages were the same or even similar, I think we'd all wanna send him to Miami and see him wing rings. The package from Miami isn't bad if they include everything and if the Nets agree, but there are so many better options out there and you'd be pissed if your franchise didn't explore those options and just gave away your franchise cornerstone superstar. I think the amount of work Miami has to do with throwing in everything to make an average package... It tells me theres something so much better out there.
I mean if you look at it not really. no contending team besides maybe the 76ers has peices or space to get dame. I also don't see a middle of the pact team would give up their future for a 33 year old.
I really want to see Damian Lillard throwing lobs to bam I was waiting Early checking every hour seeing when he was gonna make a video on dame and it was a great video can’t wait for the next one
Ppl who propose these types of miami-portland two-way or three-way deals have never been successful to me from the portland side and are just ppl who just view the trade from one angle of getting dame to the heat and just want portland in shambles. That ain't gonna happen in portland, especially with a promising young core like that who require at this point in time the exact right pieces around them to develop and gain relationships with around (similar to the warriors from 2011-14)! Portland is doing it right - play it SMART, and don't get affected by all these fans and media tryna do some persuasion that do it becuz dame deserves it. Look for high-peerforming playoff-experienced forwards like a jaylen brown, or bam adebayo to make it work, not a descending ben simmons, duncan robinson, a tyler herro not even part of the finals run from last year, and other bench mob from Miami who probably are just performing at high levels right now due to Heat culture. Play it smart portland, cuz I really like the potential in Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe, build a good forward cast (find your draymond green) and you can be successful if you play this trade right by getting quality fit stars. Use this dame trade request to hopefully find that missing piece. And screw what these fans and media say, they just thirsting for dame in Miami, and don't care about your franchise at all. They treating dame as if he won a lone championship in portland. No he did not, and since you have a hope to do it with your next chapter of guys post-dame lillard, u have to play right by ur decision, not damian lillard's. Damian Lillard deserves the right to make the heat deal happen no matter what only if he had delivered to portland (despite however shit they were) - but he did not, and with portland still being aspired to compete - look for whats best for you and don't get carried away by internet hopefuls.
I honestly do agree that things are absolutely getting weird for Damian Lillard. I still think he will go to Miami when this is all said and done but Portland just doesn’t have any good trade options I mean honestly , they don’t want Herro for Dame , definitely a 3 team trade will happen for sure
$200 million over the next 4 years makes the organization look bad? The Blazers team signed him to an extension that will pay $60million in 2027 because they wanted him to stay! Not request a trade... Portland loves Dame! Only 1 out of 30 get to win a ring each year..
I had a fanspo trade where I figured POR wouldn't want that Herro contract. Yet I thought the Nets would. So I had Net's take Herro.⬇️ MIA- Dame, Marcus Morris, Jabari Walker and sign Jaylen Nowell.. Because he was a SG/PG and they lost Caleb to LAC in this trade. LAC Caleb Martin, Cam Thomas, Kris Murray, Kyle Lowry. POR Towns, Powell, Jaime 27,29 MIA 1st and a 26 Nets 2. MIN Anfernee Simons, 25 1st PHX, 26 POR Top 5 Protected, 24 2nd via ATL, 26 2nd via OKC, DAL, PHI.. Base case scenario for all team's really. Net's would have to find someone willing to take Simmons contract to make this work. Just dump him anywhere lol.. idk.. Clips could do this, but need to cut around 4 mil or trade another player.. Maybe they keep Lowry until the deadline to get some new role player's and look to retool around a new and younger roster. With PG and hopefully get rid of Kwaih Management also.. lol
I know it’s hard to see because of the Blazers team performance, but Dame just had a career season. His game has longevity and his contract is worth it.
Teams are sick of players signing 4 year deals and then asking out of contracts. I just don't sympathize with the players, which is not Dame's fault that this precedent was set, but the 95% of the league that aren't free agent destinations are over trying to placate stars that just leave anyways. The age of stars fenagling their way out on their teams on their terms is basically over IMO. If Dame wanted to go to Miami he should have not signed an extension.....He doesn't get a choice now.
Unpopular opinion, I feel like Dame only stayed with the Blazers because of the insane amount of money they paid him. No other team would give him that much and he decided to take all that money to be there. His loyalty comes at a high price imo. Im a Blazzers fan, not a Dame fan (anymore) and only want whats best for the team. And I for sure dont want bum ass Tyler Hero.
If he wanted to win he should have taken less money or left in free agency and Portland did everything except get kd or another all NBA player and trade the pick
If Dame wanted control over his trade destination, he should've gotten a trade clause in his contract, many other players have them. Portland's gonna do what's best for Portland because that's what they negotiated.
I don’t think the Blazers want that huge Duncan Robinson deal on top of the huge Ben Simmons deal, It would be nice to get off Nurkic’ money, but taking back Robinson nullifies that advantage.
I think he ends up on the Jazz, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Blazers pull the trigger and pick up a lot of those picks the Jazz have, along with a few young players like Ochai Agbaji, THT, Sexton, and a few other players.
This argument, or lack thereof, that The Blazers owe Lillard and send him to the Heat for whatever is absurd. They do not owe him a damn thing. He got paid BIG. They paid him for time served. If he wants Miami? the third or 4th team in the trade can decide if that is a possibility. The Blazer's goal is to get the BEST possible package available...and that is NOT Miami.
KAT for Lillard and get whatever else on the side you need From teams that want in but with those 2 as the center piece of the deal Portland doesn't get left without a serious All-star level player. Same with Edwards OMG and Rudy finally fits in because he doesn't need any shots
In the end, this is Dame's fault. If he really wanted it and wanted to have all the leverage, he wouldn't have signed $120 million deal. He chose money over a chance to complete (can't blame him though, I wouldn't taken the 120 and worried about the consequences later). Hope the blazers trade him to a hole in the ground like Detroit or Charlotte

Or if Lillard chose free agency instead of going for trades he would have been out there by the first second when he was a free agent.
Going on a trade route when no one wants to play with Portlands Organization 😂

yeah, that's crazy
never would happen

THEY WAS FREE AGENTS SO I DONT KNOW HOW THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Yeah I agree, could have worked a bunch of sign and trades etc.
But a little too late is an understatement, he should have demanded a trade about four years ago. Or at the very least last off season when he signed that extension.
Should have been an extend and trade.
@@sambeaumont395 I DONT THINK THAT WOULD OF WORK CONSIDERING THEY GOT MORE MONEY WITHOUT A SIGN AND TRADE MIAMI COULDN'T OFFER STRUSS WHAT HE JUST GOT DIDNT HAVE THE CAP SPACE

@@jianh1989 this is the way.
I don’t think he would complain if he was dealt to the Celtics, he just wants to be on a contending team
@@kevinkrusen483How can you contradict yourself so quickly? You said Portland wanted to trade Dame way earlier then you say Portland is more loyal?
I, for my part, won‘t watch any Portland games,
anymore (NBA season pass).
I’d love to see Dame play somewhere they can appreciate him.
I read the Blazers don’t want Herro’s contract, it’s less about them regarding he’s ‘not good enough’.
Another banger! Keep up th good work my friend
This is just an echo of what's been already said out there by media. Quite the opposite. Dame has been loyal for years. He prefers the Heat. And because he is loyal as you said, he will sit it out than be sent elsewhere. And if he does, this does more damage to Portland as an organization than to Dame.
The best NBA channel man. The way you break shit down is spot on 👌

“we’ve made it clear we want him here” as he does everything dame requested the front office not do during this offseason 🤦♂️
Dame's loyalty has been overstated. He always signed with Portland because they could pay him more. Dame Dollar was about the dollars.
Naw it was Loyalty Portland would be toast without him
Regular ppl do that for companies with shitty jobs no one wants cus they don’t want to leave the General Manager high and dry
@@Subzero48xblike okc and Russ, blazers would be fine
Yeah, that always baffled me, Dame's been loyal, but the dude was paid a ridiculous amount to be loyal and be the face of the franchise. His loyalty was bought and paid for by Portland.
Are you kidding me? He still gonna get paid a supermax in other team, not as exactly as por but atleast he can compete.. im not surprised if luka and tatum will ask for no trade clause on their next extension
I saw no to that trade. Who is gonna be left on the Heat?
Bro ur the best basketball content creator ❤️
This is the first time I watched your nba related video. You look like Tyler Heero man. 💪💪💪
Absolute lies.
He stayed there for a decade with many bad seasons, and they failed to build around him or just build well at all
@@Jonathan-A.C. then why did he sign a 2 years $120m+ extension last year. He knew Blazers weren't doing anything for him, he even went on a podcast saying that a ring was not his sole purpose. These players know they won't get the supermax anywhere else so they pretend to be loyal and when they sign, that's when they say "trade me".
@@huntermach7356
Because he wanted to stay there.

Why would Portland want Maxey when they have Scoot, Simons and Sharpe who are all cheaper and play the same position. And is Maxey really better than them?
that ben simmons clip pumping his chest got me laughing hard

@@jabronanderson12 loyal to the money
I have a question, isnt Maxey also a guard? Why would blazers accepts Maxey and not Tyler Hero. Is Maxey that much better than Hero?
3:09 Donovan was probably upset at first but Mitch was extremely happy when he heard they kept their core together
Right 😂 they got a squad
You ALWAYS go with the best return, period. That is ESPECIALLY in this specific kind of situation.
I really want to see Damian Lillard throwing lobs to bam I was waiting Early checking every hour seeing when he was gonna make a video on dame and it was a great video can’t wait for the next one
It's like people forgot about professional courtesy.
I still think he will go to Miami when this is all said and done but Portland just doesn’t have any good trade options
I mean honestly , they don’t want Herro for Dame , definitely a 3 team trade will happen for sure
So I had Net's take Herro.⬇️
MIA- Dame, Marcus Morris, Jabari Walker and sign Jaylen Nowell..
With PG and hopefully get rid of Kwaih Management also.. lol
Please do a video on the EUROLEAGUE MVP joining the Sacramento Kings, it is a very underrated and non-spoken about move this off season.
I know it’s hard to see because of the Blazers team performance, but Dame just had a career season. His game has longevity and his contract is worth it.
If they don't send him to miami it would show the whole league and the new players that loyalty doesn't mean anything.
Ty bro for the vid. U da best

I don't understand the Jazz's fascination with Dame
He played at Weber State. We watched his highlights in our news cycle for 4 years. He wears 0 to rep Oakland and Ogden, Utah.
Wemby and dame would be insane 🤯
New York should try to trade for dame, maybe even get Jalen Brunson.
Finally a video longer then 8:05;)
I told you they dont want them guards they want stretch bigs/wings and picks
Portland needs a new owner.
Awesome video
You could pair MJ with Embid and Philly would still lose, Embid's a *CHOKER*
KAT for Lillard and get whatever else on the side you need From teams that want in but with those 2 as the center piece of the deal Portland doesn't get left without a serious All-star level player. Same with Edwards OMG and Rudy finally fits in because he doesn't need any shots
THIS right here is why I always found the loyalty obsession Dame had corny. These organizations dont have loyalty to you. You’re just an asset.
He isn't loyal, it's just money 😂. Of course he'd stay in a place where he could make 63 million a year, we'd all do the same 😀.

i still wish dame was on the warriors when they still were in oakland
Give the man his flowers🌸
In the end, this is Dame's fault. If he really wanted it and wanted to have all the leverage, he wouldn't have signed $120 million deal. He chose money over a chance to complete (can't blame him though, I wouldn't taken the 120 and worried about the consequences later). Hope the blazers trade him to a hole in the ground like Detroit or Charlotte

Miami would be crazy to give up Caleb Martin. If I'm the Heat id be telling Portland that Butler, Bam, and Martin are hands off. Btw when stars change teams like this there is always a team behind the scenes working to acquire the star player and it doesn't get reported.
Dame isn’t making enough money!!! Imagine your career highlight playoff game winning three over MVP Paul George…
