G-Police! I think sony should include more Psygnosis games to their service. There is not more "Playstation" than that.
Id love to see more Capcom, Namco and Square games on the PS+. Parasite Eve, Mega Man Legends, Tekken 3, etc.

For the QotD, man I could write a whole novel on games that need to be on PS Plus, the biggest standout being Legend of Legaia, an excellent first-party Sony RPG that has never been rereleased in any form at all.
I'd also love to see Rapid Reload, a Gunstar-like run n' gun from the devs behind Wild ARMs that came out in Europe and Japan but not North America due to SCEA's moronic policy against 2D games early on!
Also, the Lunar games, Koudelka, Tail Concerto and any other PSone game who's price is prohibitively expensive on the secondhand market

Thanks for these videos. Love them, Cheers. Helps me find hidden gems to collect and play. Its great I can play the expensive games on my new PlayStation but next time I see Gpolice I'll probably pick it up and throw it in the PS3. Hopefully the controls are pre analogue so I can use my arcade set up.

As far as I know, the original G-Police was released at the same time the original dual analogue was released and at that time very few had the dual analogue pads. I do know for a fact that the OG G-Police worked on the og non analogue pad. If that's the version you are using then it should work...but as you're on ps3, then I am unsure.
What I can tell you is that playing on a non analogue pad is pure torture. And that's from past experience.

I'm glad G-Police is available but I would rather have the Colony Wars trilogy also by Psygnosis

Colony Wars is a series I’d love to play. But I’d actually rather the Wing Commander games if that was possible.

@@maxstoner5527 I think the PS1 Wing Commander IV port is or was on the PS3 PSN store so it might show up eventually. I'm pretty sure I have it on my PS3 but the Colony Wars games were never re-released anywhere AFAIK and while the Wing Commander IV port wasn't bad, and its my favorite game in the main series but I would rather play any of the Colony Wars trilogy if I had to choose between one of them or the Wing Commander IV PS1 port

I remembered when G-Police 2 came out and they ended the game on a cliffhanger. As if people cared about the game and as if it was going to get a franchise. It was fun. But, even at 12 yrs old, I knew it stood no chance.

Man, the commercial itself shows off the frame rate issues.
Today's gamers will never understand how often breaking the engine was seen as just Micheal Bay style thrills. It gave explosions more impact, but it was all unintentional and it was the first thing to go in the next generation, along with pop-in.
Ironically, the Switch often has pop-in worse than the GameCube, thanks to the lack of custom engines and a brain dead approach to levels of detail and shadows.
As for the QotD, I don't own any current Sony systems. I have no idea what they offer.

G-Police works a treat. Go to options increase draw distance and view angle, no need to worry about frame rate though. Plays buttery smooth and looks ace. Controls are well implemented and I don't know if it's just me, but the air breaks feel proportional as well.
Despite ps1 graphics, it looks the business too.

Psygnosis was awesome. Shame they got smothered the way they did by sony. G-Police is one of my favorite games on the PS1 and still holds up pretty well with tight controls and a cool environment.
QOTD, Would like to see Loaded 1 and 2.

I hadn't even heard about Worms Pinball before and 2Xtreme feels like a game I DID read about back in the day, but which simply never stuck in my memory. But G-Police... that one I remember. There's a certain bittersweet tinge to looking up old games like that, who were at the time considered to be of the future, games that showcased what we could do with our shiny new tech, and which just felt so BIG and bold. Then either you go back and the game's not as bog as ypur imagination had you feeling back then, or it's a gameplay style that fell out of favor or never got expanded on. There was simply no shiny cyberpunk flying car exploration / action games for us...
As for the games that should be on PSN I would really like it if, as someone else here said, Rapid Reload would be available for purchase as that game fetches ridiculous prices on the second hand market. And for you, I'm kinda curious since Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is coming out- will you do a review crew-styled episode for that one, see what magazines thought back then, or is that too little material to weave a whole episode out of?

G-Police definitely looks the most appealing of the three. It just sucks how Sony is handling their classics with their Playstation Plus subscription format. Honestly, I haven't had enough of a reason to continuously use the PS5, since the best exclusives are also on PC.

2 Xtreme is basically a worse Road Rash. Its average at best.

    Einhander
    Tekken 3
    Tomba
    Frogger
I need these games now on my PS5 in fact Sony sold me on PS plus with showing Tekken 3 as a demo in their collage when they first announced it for PS5. Almost 2 years now and still waiting

2Xtreme is a lot better with the Rewind function, it makes up for the ridiculous difficulty.

Well, only one of these I didn't have in my PSX ROM folder was Worm Pinball, but easily fixed that with a European ROM, so can check that out, see who I agree with. As for the question, really can't say that I have an answer, since I'm purely a PC GamerGirl, don't even have PS+. 😉

Most ps1 games I'd like to see are unlikely to be on the service. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro have remasters/remakes, as does Metal Gear and Tomb Raider, so i doubt they'll be given for "free". I'd like the PS1 version of Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9, but I admit that's silly. Final Fantasy Tactics would be profitable as a release, doubt Square would put it on Plus, but Parasite Eve possibly could. Tekken 3 would be good, but with 2 and 6 already there it could be seen as redundant. Silent Hill should be there, honestly. Resident Evil 2 was a huge game i recall everybody owning as a kid, and the original is on the service. It'd be interesting if GTA 1&2 could be added. I like Legend of Legaia. I wouldn't be shocked if Frogger showed up, but i wouldn't download it 😎

Typical yanks have to have the entire story told to you unlike the uk add which is just 90s uk in tone.
