That's why he asked her, because she knows the answer. That's not irony, Gohan's just threatening her.
She's a scientist so she would know the answer. And I believe it's as low as 87 ft. Divers when they jump off of really high cliffs have to hit the water a certain way so they're not hitting it like concrete and breaking themselves.
They were not only flying over water but choppy rough stormy seas as well so she would've likely drowned even if she did survive the fall lol

Anything higher and many more precautions need to be made, even at the highest dive of eighty seven feet, iirc, the person who did it ended up breaking an arm, even though they did everything correctly. Granted, a broken arm is better than being dead, so.. But yeah, at two hundred feet or higher, there’s no way to safely make a dive into water without breaking the surface tension of wherever you land just before impacting said water, otherwise you end up like a bug on a windshield.

Giving Goku the Super Saiyan ability.

And being at the verge of dying in space.

My personal head canon is that Shenron saying 'Is it time to lay waste to this world' refers to the Shadow dragons of DBGT. So in the abridged version, Mr. Popo is actually the final villain of the entire series.

The best part about dbz, is how it could of ended after any saga, such well story telling excluding the buu story arc

Consider that canonically the Dragons answer to the Gods of Destruction, the Kai, and the Angel Priests as though they were their masters. And this one called Popo his master despite being made by a Namekian.
