Toy Train To Shimla| ഷിംലയിലേക്കുള്ള ഒരു അപൂർവ തീവണ്ടി യാത്ര🚂🌲

Shimla is known as the “Queen of Hills”🏞 and is one of the popular Hill Stations in India. It is situated among the lush valleys and forests of rhododendron, oak and pine trees🌲. It was considered as the summer capital of British India. You can reach Shimla by road, rail or air. The Toy Train Ride to Shimla is considered as India’s most stunning Railway Journeys🚂. If you prefer train ride, catch train from Delhi to Kalka ( Panchkula District, Haryana). Shatabdhi Express is the best option as you will reach Kalka within 4 hrs (covers 269 k.m.). You can catch the Toy Train from Kalka. Kalka Shimla Toy Train is one of the best modes of transport to explore the rich colonial history of the hill station.
Himachal Pradesh State Government declared the toy train as Heritage Site in 2007. In 2008, UNESCO declared it as World Heritage Site. Britishers started the Kalka Shimla narrow-gauge train in 1903. The train passes through 102 tunnels, 864 bridges, 919 stunning curves and 18 railway stations. The total track length is 96 k.m.This ride takes you back in time with a display of awe-inspiring landscapes. The scenery you get to see throughout the journey is simply breathtaking!🚂❄️

After reaching Shimla, you can visit many tourist places nearby (The Ridge, Mall Road, Scandle Point, Christ Church, View Point, Jakhoo Temple etc.). The buildings in Mall road are like that of Colonial Heritage (Victorian Era). Jakhoo Temple has the Worlds Highest Hanuman Statue (108 Feet). It is considered that Hanuman rested in this mountain when he was going in search for Sanjeevani Herb for Lakshmana. Temple is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can either reach this temple by trekking or rope way. The Rope way is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and they Rs. 470/- and Rs. 250/- for adults (2 way & 1 way respectively) & Rs. 250/- and Rs. 200 for children below 3 years (2 way & 1 way respectively).
