1)M. P. Birla Planetarium🌔🌏☄️
It is an iconic structure whose architecture is based on the famous Buddhist Stupa at Sanchi. It was opened on 29 th September 1962. When it was inaugrated, it was the first public planetarium in India. It serve a useful purpose, apart from gathering knowledge and imparting it. It is also one of the largest in the world in terms of its seating capacity. The planetarium has the latest Carl Zeiss Hybrid Projection System capable of showing the natural night sky.

2) Howrah Bridge🌉
It is an iconic landmark in Kolkata. It is a huge steel bridge over Hooghly River connecting Kolkata and Howrah. Also known as Rabindra Setu (from 14 th June 1965). It was open to the public on 3 rd February 1943. It carries daily traffic of over 1 Lakh vehicles and countless pedestrians. 26,500 tons of steel was used in its construction. The bridge was designed by Rendel, Palmer and Tritton. Sir Rajendra Nath Mukherjee was the chief engineer. Length 1528 feet and Width 62 feet. They haven’t used nuts and bolts🔩 to construct this bridge, instead they have used rivets.
3) James Prinsep Ghat🏛️
Prinsep Ghat is located along the banks of the Hooghly River, in the memory of James Prinsep. James Prinsep was an ingenious Anglo- Indian Researcher and Scholar. He had made remarkable contributions in the fields of meterology, Indian Scriptures, Archaeology etc. The 2nd Hooghly Bridge (Vidyasagar Setu) above it adds to its charm all the more. The monument is one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Kolkata. A boat ride in the river is also a wonderful experience. Infringed are benches for you to sit and watch glorious sunsets over the water while watching ships sail past you.
