The problem with this festival is, once you go there, you just can't not go back, so consider that before coming! I've been there for 8 years in a row now. 🤘😄🍻
Like Coachella before 2010! I remember being able to go to all three day’s + camping for about $300.00. 😂Yea, they are worlds apart, but I’ve seen some amazing bucket list bands play there. I last went in like 08, 08, and never went back, nor ever will.
Great vid! Although as a transport nerd, I feel the overwhelming urge to mentiom that you can't take the metro from Prague to Trutnov (as it does not go outside of Prague). The best way to get there from the airport is: 1. Take the 59 trolleybus from the airport to Nádraží Veleslavín (goes in 8 min. intervals). 2. From there, take the A metro east to "Muzeum", then change to the C metro and ride 1 stop north (to Hlavní Nádraží, Central Station). 3. From the Central Station, take the R10 train directly to Trutnov (goes hourly, but some trains do not go all the way - make sure your train is going to "Trutnov hlavní nádraží" and not "Hradec Králové". 4. From there it's a 2km walk through the town centre to the festival area.
Great video. I've been four times (and once to its Japanese offshoot) and it's seriously fucken great. You already stated a lot of the positive points but I'll reiterate what are my favorite things about that fest: - Insane lineup, from top to bottom (DON'T miss the early bands, some gems in there) - Focus on grindcore, but also a fair serving of death metal, crust, old hardcore punk, and as of last year, thrash - Short distances - Smallish camping that of course gets trashed but nowhere as a giant shitpit as Wacken's - Cheap (of course the price rose in the past few years but name a thing which hasn't been touched by inflation) - Food is damn good and varied - Beer is delicious too (Czechia

I won’t lie some of the entertainment options I was like that’s not my thing, but everything related to the music and the stage of stuff I love I think I might attend this one day
Most of the freak fest happens on the first day, to be fair. There usually is a workshop on meat hook suspension for the rest of the fest but it's nestled deep within the grind market (which btw it's an amazing music market. you can find almost anything grind/death/punk related in there, from tapes to hoodies).
Finally OEF! Starting watching this channel as it's interesting to see someone else's take on festivals as I've been attending them around the globe for the last 20+ years. OEF is by far the BEST festival, this year will be fest #10 for me and for some of the reasons stated in this video, 1 stage, the size, vibe, affordability, truly make it a great festival vacation. The 'extra' stuff highlighted in this video I'm not into although it's a very minor and whilst it's going on it's time to wander and check everything else out. Highly recommend this festival, it's always the greatest time!
Such a hilarious video about an amazing festival! Your camouflage was shockingly fun. Thanks for the many tips about the festival and getting there. Truly a wild, for the fans, time.
YES! Been waiting for this one. Always a treat to watch the videos of this fest. Looks like a lot of fun. Curby seems like a great guy and puts on an awesome festival every year.
Really made me smile and chuckle when you mentioned the day care. This festival sounds like what blue ridge should be like! Really glad to see you getting sponsorships too brother! 🤘🏻
As much as I love to hear you bash festivals for their negative debauchery… I love a positive video!!! this one was awesome. I would love to check out this festival.
It's a amazing time! I've been there 3 times and will be back again! It's like being there with a few thousand friends and nothing but great times. I have never felt more welcome in a place than at Obscene
I admire your passion and dedication sir,I personally grow up listening to Slikpknot,Behemoth even Children od Bodom in the begging. I wanted to ask where can I hear your music your in a death metal band if I'm correct? I want to hear some of your music.
I hope smaller festivals like this one catch on. It seems that the bigger festivals get, the more they have to price gouge on everything to pay for the biggest bands----a vicious circle.
Thanks for covering this, I love OEF! Haven't been there since 2013 but I'm looking to return this year, I agree with everything mentioned in the video, people are super friendly and it really feels like one big family. One of the perks with a festival that caters to such a niche genre I guess.
I aint going, but if i had to go to a Metalfest, id go to OEF. If im going to pay other idiots rents, this is the world's least offensive way to do it at this time.

Thank you!
OEF was my first ever festival, and what an introduction it was!

Dark insanity and dark tranquility at tolminator. The yin and yang of dark. Sounds SICK!
Basically a Czech Gathering of the Juggalos
Without the dumbassery.
Nothing like it
@@FalseNi9e it was kind of a joke.
I'd love to see the gathering some day and this how I imagine it. Going to Obscene since 2016 tho. 🤘😁🍻
But was way better music.
I don’t even like grind but now I wanna go to this festival
I won’t lie some of the entertainment options I was like that’s not my thing, but everything related to the music and the stage of stuff I love I think I might attend this one day
There are several extra curricular activities there I'd pass on but am happy for those who want it

Amazing festival was there last year
Such a wonderful video that sums up the OEF spirit!! This year was my 14th, and it truly is a giant stinky family reunion 🥲💖🤘
My metal festival bucket list: 1. Hellfest 2. OEF 3. Summer Breeze
For Dark Insanity to perform here, say aye.
Aye!
Aye
Aye ! Aye! Aye!!!!!!!!

Another festival where Gutalax is welcome.
I’ve always dreamed of building a life size Godzilla to invade Canada! You gotta let me in on this.
We're always looking for new investors!
Whats canada done to p..s you off so much. Always thought canada as being an ok place to go
@@iandawe948 Oh, I agree it seems to be a great place to go……With a life size Godzilla!!
Done it 11times. It's Europe's best festival by far

Obscene is my dream festival. Grind on
This feels like the phrase "But wait, it gets surrealier!"
It’s on my bucket list. Gotta go at least once before I die. I watch all the recap videos and any extra stuff they post.. looks so good and fun
As much as I love to hear you bash festivals for their negative debauchery… I love a positive video!!! this one was awesome. I would love to check out this festival.
Bloodstock has similar vibes and it’s amazing
Been wanting to attend this festival for years. Always such great lineups.
Absolutely brilliant, this is what it's about!
I went to this in 2017 and IT WAS AWESOME!! The most fun Ive ever had at a fest
This video could be used as the official promo for the fest. :)
As the vocalist/guitarist of Animals Killing People the band seen at :29 I can say everything you have stated is true.
Ive always wanted to go to OEF. Wish we played there when I was with Splatterhouse
Thank you for pointing out Windrose to me.
Well my Thursday just got better 🤘
Really great and peaceful festival. Have been there two times.
17th time straight, next week. I don't even consider not going anymore.
Before disability takes me, I need to get there. I can rot in bed knowing I saw Gawd level goregrind
Going to my first festival next month welcome to Rockville in Florida!
4:59 we saw what TH-cam mods didn’t 😂
the most extreme the friendly it gets you should check SWR in portugal it's smaller but the same type of festival really
Wow!!! A jumpscare warning before the sponsor would have been nice.... I'm on edge now 😮
You should cover older festivals like dynamo open air and newer festivals like Alcatraz metal fest, and release some more dar insanity bangers
Just played there! Beautiful experience
I've heard so many great things about this festival from friends! Wanna go some day :D
It's a amazing time! I've been there 3 times and will be back again! It's like being there with a few thousand friends and nothing but great times. I have never felt more welcome in a place than at Obscene
I went there last year and I had a blast
The absolute best festival hands down.
5:25 just another day at the office.

Extreme? This is the most friendly metal festival that exists, never any problems, nice people, just groovy goregrind partying!
I think he meant that music-wise. Although Power Electronics- and Noise concerts are way more extreme.
When I saw the title I knew it had to be OEF
Love your shit man! Side note, are you the Jaboodi Dubs guy?
no idea who that is lol

I thought you sounded like this mother fucker! My bad, I now realize it’s not even close.
OE usually clashed with other festivals in my calendar but I'm finally going for the first time! It's gonna be so fucking stupid.
Never heard of this one, but sure looks great fun. Not sure my 60yr plus body would stand upto it though. 🤘🤘🤘
I hope smaller festivals like this one catch on. It seems that the bigger festivals get, the more they have to price gouge on everything to pay for the biggest bands----a vicious circle.
The guy's name is actually Čurby. The Č is pronunced like CH. So the "English spelling" would be Churby.
This sounds like heaven on earth
You can't definitely go by metro from Prague to Trutnov - maybe in 100 years :) otherwise nice video. Greetings from Prague :)
It sounds like fun, but definitely not for me. Thanks for the report.
Yes, it's perfect 😊
Thanks!
It's a bit like Butlins
this year will be my 10th time there, great festival
This festival is just a normal day in Florida
Czech Bloodstock
I don't know who Groinchurn are, but I need one of their T-shirts simply because of the name.
They're one of South Africa's most known Grind-bands that have influences from Punk, Metal and modern Hardcore.

I’m seeing a lot of black tee’s there.
I am more of a black and doom metal girl but I do like some of those bands there and would still go because it seems like an amazing experience.
You seem like a dude who would know about the band Rigor Mortis.
Love the Banana
If we had anything close to this kind of festival in the States, The RIght and Christian Right would lose their shit. lol
holy shit im in your vid haha
Kindergrinder. Brilliant 🤣
WTF the price ?! I attended in 2018, it was nearly 80€, what happened :/
Even Will Smith's wife Jada Pinket Smith played at this festival.
YEAHHHHHHHH FINALLYY
