    You did a good job making it seem very simple and showing exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. I appreciate it

    Well done! Only comment I would make/suggest would be to clean the reservoir and use new brake fluid before assembling. Like the fact that you included priming the master cylinder before re-installing. I got bit by this - but just once!

    I hope this method works for a 2006 Ram. Man, I hate dealerships so much; highway robbery! This is so easy. I’m a lady and confident I can to do this myself. *hair flip* Thank you for the detailed instructions!😁😎👍

    Yeah, but didn’t you just put contaminated fluid into a new master cylinder? I thought anytime you were changing a cylinder you had to use fresh fluid to eliminate any prior contamination.

      Check all your bleeders and make sure they are tight.

    I installed my master cylinder but did not pump it but bled all the breaks. Is there still air in the master cylinder?

    • @timst5055
      @timst5055  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you bled your breaks and they work, then you should be fine. If you push on the pedal and it goes to the floor, then you got air in the system. Just bleed them again.

      Did you skip the step where you prime the master cylinder BEFORE installing it into the vehicle? I've skipped doing this once before and was very frustrated trying to figure out what was wrong. It is a required step, otherwise, the master cylinder will not push fluid because of the trapped air.
