There was no such thing as racism when Churchill was in power. When I was growing up in the 80’s as a white kid racism was rife, we said things that we didn’t understand what we was saying and it was accepted. Just the same as how men treated women. It was all down to being uneducated in how to behave correctly. These woke people should be looking back and saying ‘wow look how far British people have come in 60 years’ these things are no longer acceptable and that in itself should be praised.

Times change, and so do beliefs, standards, morals, and practices. Ghandi was unbelievably racist towards black Africans. That gets largely forgotten about due to his protests towards British colonial power in India. You can not judge the past by the morals of today. Shes here for a agenda not for a discussion. Thats the worst, in a discussion you listen to all sides and make a judgement. On one side you had a man always willing to wait and listen to what you had to say. On the other a women who clearly wasnt willing to hear a single word you said. She was so closed minded and running her narrative she wasnt even willing to wait and listen to what others were saying. she was very rude and insulting to her opponent and quite frankly elder...whats her credentials 2yrs serfing the net for stories or an actual elderly historian...keep in mind he was also willing to listen to what she said and give credit where it was do.
I think for the position that Churchill was in and the times he lived in, on balance he comes out of this discussion as a national hero; whilst not ignoring the fact that he made some bad decisions along the way, but, thinking of the pressure he was under, no human being is going to get it right 100% of the time under those circumstances. Defacing his memorial statue in Parliament Square with graffiti is a 'monstrous' act to me, and shows massive disrespect for the good things he did. If she was alive during WW2 she would not cope, playing victim where no one would care as they are too busy fighting or trying to survive.
I’m not sure how strong Churchill’s racist beliefs were, if you take the Bambridge Battle as an example? When the American army wanted Britain to impose the colour segregation laws that they had in the states, the British refused and stood up and said no and our laws were never changed. Surely that was partly down to Churchill? I’m not 100% sure, but I’m sure I read or watched something like that. My memory doesn’t serve me well these days! 😄🇬🇧
