  • People always ask how real is RealFlight and how does it compare to actual flying. I fly the E-flite Turbo Timber Evolution in RealFlight v9.5S and compare it to my experience with the actual E-flite Turbo Timber Evolution.

I've found that the planes in RealFlight are close to the actual models. It's also nice to be able to practice in the winter months without freezing off one's fingers.

I do all my winter flying on RealFlight as I hate cold fingers! Some guys really enjoy flying in the winter, but not me. I will stick with RealFlight until it warms up.

      Even more important.
You can get a load of Muscle memory training, and practice your landings for hours with different wind speeds, gusts, crosswinds etc.
Find the stall speed and recover from stalls etc.
I'm waiting for my Apprentice sts so I can use my transmitter and dongle and I've read down everything I want to practice.
This is a powerful tool to improve everything you lack as an RC pilot and a perfect possibility to make scenarios that can make you a much more experienced pilot.
I can't wait for it :) I would strongly suggest people to think about what they want to train and lay out a plan before they jump into the game
      And also have fun :)

    Hello,
I’m a beginner with some experience. I have reverse thrust on my evolution in real life but can’t get it to work on game. When in both usb and dongle, can’t figure it out.

That is a good question as I am not sure either how to get it to work in RealFlight. I would try going in and editing the controller. Reverse is tied to one of the switches, but not sure which. I think it would be channel 6 or 7. You will probably need to make sure the switch on the transmitter is active and assigned to the switch you want it to be on the transmitter. You do this in RealFlight. I would assign the switch to be the same as you have it on your actual Turbo Timber Evolution. You can also try posting the question on the RealFlight Facebook page or on Fly.RCNation as the developers are there on occasion to help answer questions.

How do I set up my NX8 for Realflight Evo for a heli? Different from a plane setup or the same?

I am not sure as I haven't ever setup a helicopter before.

Please. What graphics card is running in your pc? My rf9.5 graphics are terrible on my laptop and wanting to buy a pc. I want graphics like you. Sorry my question has nothing to do with flying. Thanks

I am not sure what graphics card I am running. I have the graphics set pretty low in the video and have since increased them to the highest level. The computer I am using is a salvaged work station that was in the trash, so I don't know what is in it. I had to add a new hard drive, but the rest of it was whatever was installed prior.

I use an RTX 2080 and it's plenty to run the game on highest settings. Also make sure to get a monitor that has at least 144hz refresh rate so those fps numbers can shine and give you the detail you want

Find a secondhand 1070-1080 or a 1660. That should be enough. Make sure to have 4 or 6 Vram on the card and 16 GB memory at least plus a 4-core CPU. Find a power supply that can run it and throw some good fans in your PC.
That gives you at least a steady 1080p resolution.
