    Great video. I purchased rf 9.5 a few days ago and it arrives today. Does it have scenarios like motor randomly shutting off or parts falling off, to help you stay calm until drastic situations?

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it has scenarios where things go wrong like a wing falling off, etc. Thanks for the comment and for watching!!!

      @@TheTravelingTechGuy that will be great. I've never flown and I was recommended by the president of my local field to practice before purchasing my first plane.

      @@jaredbrumley6599 I practiced for almost four months before I bought my first plane. It will definitely help you build muscle memory for when you are flying an actual model. Good luck!!

    I recently became medically retired and I have been wanting to get a good gaming computer to play Strategy Games as well as a Flight Similator program as well so I can practice before I purchase my first RC Plane. Any suggestions ???

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A computer with at least 16GB of memory, an Intel I7 or AMD 8-core processor, a 1TB SSD hard drive for starts. For the sim, RealFlight, hands down.
      Thanks for the question and for watching!!!

    Hello Tech Guy, you explained it well thank you. I'm a beginner new to the hobby lost my trainer plane less then 3 minutes in the sky disappeared. So like you say need to develop mind muscle. Just im starting off low price first and hope to develop to better transmitters. Just got bumbed out After losing this plane that was over $100.00 . So my question is since you can bind your own transmitter to the simulator program can you bind a flysky transmitter to it since it's mainly spectrum

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear you lost your plane....
      Some on the internet have reported they were able to use their FlySky FS-i6x transmitters with Realflight on a few planes in the sim but others, say it's not possible. Information on RealFlight's website says as long as your transmitter is compatible with Spektrum's DSMX communication protocols.
      Without having to spend a lot of money to try and get cables and other adapters to see if, your transmitter would work, I would offer this suggestion instead.
      I would purchase the RF package that includes the simulated transmitter (aka. Interlink Controller), for two reasons.
      1. It works right out of the box and controls all of the aircraft in the sim. No adjusting for different sim planes.
      2. The Sim Transmitter doesn't need batteries to work so, you can practice as much as you want. The amount of time you get to practice with a real transmitter, will depend on how long your battery lasts, before needing to be charged.
      I know the price of the complete RealFlight package may seem high but, it will save you a lot of money especially, during the learning to fly process. Think of it like this... You crash a plane in the sim, press the reset button, get a new one. Add up the cost of having to replace that plane, for the number of times you crash. Very expensive!!!
      I hope that gives you the answers your looking for and gives you some options to think about.
      Thanks for the question and for watching!!!

    Pros and Cons? The older system I had, I sold after a year or so. If I understand you can't resell it? Or can not even put on another pc that I have? Why do some not like steam? But prefer the disc. Thinking about getting 9.5s or 9.5 version

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to RealFlight, you can move it to another computer. You would have to contact RealFlight's software support to have them unregister the license number and use it to register the software on the new PC. I'm not really sure why some do not like the Steam version? I bought the full package that came with the Interlink Controller. The controller I had when I bought RF v7.0, somehow was damaged and the sticks no longer worked correctly. Version 9.5s has mainly trainer planes included in it. 9.5, has the trainers plus, all the planes, drones, heli's and a blimp in it.

    whats the difference betwen real fligth 9.5 and RF trainer?

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RF Trainer only has 5 of the typical trainer airplanes, 2 helicopters and one flying field that is downloadable through the Steam network or on a DVD from Horizon Hobby.. RF 9.5 includes includes 175 different airplanes, helicompters, drones and 40 different flying sites. You can get it as a download through Steam or as a boxed DVD only and as a full package with the Interlink Controller and DVD. Thanks for the question and for watching!!!

    Hi, I'm having TS16s Transmitter from radio master. I want to connect the transmitter directly to real flight 9.5. Since radio master directly supports as a simulator. Can you help to find out?

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      After looking through the support pages for Realflight, I don’t see any mention of the TS16S as being compatible. I would recommend contacting Realflight support for your specific question. Thanks for commenting and for watching!!

    Will a gaming laptop working better with the real flight 9.5 or is a regular laptop with the system requirements just as good?

    • @TheTravelingTechGuy
      @TheTravelingTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A regular laptop that meets the specs will work just fine.

      to my opinion, gaming laptops even work BETTER because it has much better GPU (i.e. Nvidia or AMD-ATI). And it even has HDMI output to your big TV too. Have fun.

      @@nsvaluto48328 From what I have read, the TX16S will operate the basic controls in RF but, for the SAFE mode, no one has posted that they have successfully programmed their TX16S to use this feature.
      Have no despair, you will still be able to learn to fly and become more proficient at it, the more you practice.
