Ant-Man was one of the few MCU movies with acting that wasnt overly-dramatic. It had a nice balance of humor and warmth, which is why its one of my favorites!
It was well-timed with how dark the MCU was beginning to get(and it had to be with what was coming). Ant Man refreshed the humor without taking away from the overall shadow that was coming through the MCU. And then later we get a booster with Spider-Man.
What really gets me about this scene is that he flys in on an Ant-hony so that he can rob an Anthony’s warehouse and ends up fighting another Anthony!! So many Anthonys
I always loved this fight because it made Scott look good without making Sam look incompetent. Sam adapted pretty quickly to Scott's tricks, so Scott had to come up with some new ones.

Something I love about this movie is it portrayed how the Avengers are scene by people more on the outside. Scott's first suggestion was calling the Avengers when he found out about all this and upon seeing the compound is the Avengers HQ and not some old warehouse from Stark Industries, Scott freaks out while Hank and Hope tell him to get the hell out of there immediately. Even the people who depend on them fear them.
To be fair Scott was freaking out because the threat level of the heist changed, and he's only prepped for the basics of Ant-Manning/Smal Heisting and not to take on the Avengers. I'd say the Avengers are necessary not feared here(except Hulk) not until Civil War but even then, that was more of a government fear and them being outlawed. in Homecoming the heroes aren't treated as fears there with the kids bringing them up and Cap's detention videos still being played .

Worse, the Avengers would mistake Scott as a villain at worst, or a thief, and even against someone as nice as Steve Rogers, Scott's life could be in danger thanks to his awkward social skills.
The Avengers is the most powerful paramilitary organisation in the world. Think of them as the nicer version of Blackwater but with superpowers and no oversight.

Hank Pym fears losing the suit to a Stark. Knowing what chaos they can do with the technology and the capacity of Pym Particles. You could see such fear when he realizes the warehouse belongs to Stark Industries (now upgraded to Avengers Base). And I don’t think he knows that the Starks gave up their sales on War tech. . .
This was such a cool addition to the movie. Non avenger films usually just stay separated like they're in their own universe. This really made me feel like Ant Man was part of the mcu

fr, i think he has some of the most underrated powers in the mcu. he’s obviously not scarlet witch, thor, captain marvel, or doctor strange level. but they’re still really cool
Scott came out on top in this fight against a professional soldier who had been training with one of the best hand-to-hand combatants of all time, (Cap) on his home turf (Avengers headquarters), after giving up the element of surprise and not really wanting to hurt Sam. On top of that, he then soundly trounces the Stark security system in minutes and escapes clean, using only a 40-year-old Ant-Man suit, some moves he picked up from Hope, and a whole lot of guts! That is a hell of a debut, and I don't think it gets enough credit!
I can’t help but imagine that lost people would lose against Ant Man. He has a such a unique and unpredictable gimmick he’s practically unstoppable. How would you be able to anticipate someone such as Scott??
Caleb Mayfield Ngl not familiar much about Hank or Scott from the comics and their lore but from what I’ve seen in the MCU he’s definitely a worthy opponent. He gave Tony, Nat, and Rhodey a difficult time and though this isn’t a combat advantage but definitely a noteable achievement, he saved the universe. It was his idea and concept.

Scott came out on top in this fight against a professional soldier who had been training with one of the best hand-to-hand combatants of all time, (Cap) on his home turf (Avengers headquarters), after giving up the element of surprise and not really wanting to hurt Sam. On top of that, he then soundly trounces the Stark security system in minutes and escapes clean, using only a 40-year-old Ant-Man suit, some moves he picked up from Hope, and a whole lot of guts! That is a hell of a debut, and I don't think it gets enough credit!

Caleb Mayfield Ngl not familiar much about Hank or Scott from the comics and their lore but from what I’ve seen in the MCU he’s definitely a worthy opponent. He gave Tony, Nat, and Rhodey a difficult time and though this isn’t a combat advantage but definitely a noteable achievement, he saved the universe. It was his idea and concept.
