Spidey’s most dangerous quality is his ability to completely undersell how powerful he actually is
Which is why Taskmaster never underestimates him. He is fully aware that the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man can very easily become not so friendly in a nanosecond
When it comes to Spider-Man's real strength I always think of the comic where Doc Ock takes over his body the first time and punches someone and literally just disintegrates the lower half of the guys face, as octavius didn't know just how physically strong Peter's body was since he only ever uses a fraction of it when fighting.
I love the comics the most that explore Spider-man's powers. Like how his sticking to objects is actually an electro-static force that extends from his entire body which is why he's able to stick to anything, and also he can stick things to any part of his body, it's not just his hands and feet. He rescues i think it's MJ once by just sticking her to his back and then swinging off.

2 to have someone faster than Spider-Man himself where even if he sees it coming he can’t react to it

at 0:39 you just barely see the metal plates on Bucky's arm closing, we saw this in Winter Soldier when he fought Steve, it essentially increases his strength which allowed him to overpower Steve. Even while he's doing it, Peter still casually turns it to admire it.

To think Spiderman stopped Bucky's metal arm full strength punch like it's nothing, I think a lot of people underestimated Peter's strength.
Doc Oc once took over Peter's body and tried to fight crime, accidentally punched a guys jaw clean off because he didn't know Spidey pulled his punches so much.

Officially, Spiderman can grab until 10 tons. He's one of the strongest character after Hulk, Thor and Thing from Fantastic Four (I know there are some other characters who are pretty strong, but I'm talking about the most known from Marvel). I've just seen some people asking who is stronger Spiderman or Bucky, Bucky only have like ten times the strengh of a normal person. In strengh Spiderman plays in a complete diffetent level

THIS felt like a comic! the perfect level of fun, comedy, and badass fighting.
Everybody talks about how crazy strong Spider-Man is to catch Bucky's arm like that. Nobody talks about how insanely strong his webbing is too. He webs Bucky's metal arm at the end, and that little bit of webbing is enough to keep him from being able to free himself.
I still love the irony of Sam saying "everyone's got a gimmick now" while he runs around with wings and a drone named Redwing.

He holds back to an extreme degree, partly because he doesn't know how strong he is (especially at this point in his career in the MCU) and partly because he doesn't want to risk anyone getting hurt.
My point is that Stark still didn't know the powerhouse he had and likely told him to play the support role due to him not knowing this in combination with Spidey's lack of real experience.

To be fair Bucky in this scene at least was holding back at first when he threw that punch, as he's no longer full on in 'kill the target-Winter Soldier' mode anymore. Still a lot of remnants of it, but his fighting instinct is no longer the 'shoot first, shoot some more, then when all the targets are dead, ask his handlers what the next set of target is" method of attack.

@@ruthgar9753 I'd still say that Even Prime peter Parker Spider-Man is not as strong as say Rune King Thor or Hulk even. However, he has fought with both before and has come out the victor once or twice against them. Now, while there are cosmic entities that are physically strong, there are those who are also just really powerful. Sentry being one of those who could take Spider-Man easily.
Kang is not as strong as say Thanos, with the stones and without them, but his preparation and his incredible genius and cunning wits allows him to be on and even above Thanos' level. I just hope the MCU invites in the Fantastic Four the right way.
Also, funnily enough, Loki is also extremely physically strong and can lift up to 70 tons (or about 130,000 Lbs) in the comics.

This really opened my eyes to how insanely strong spiderman really is. We've already seen how dangerous Bucky's metal arm was. For Peter to just casually catch that punch and overpower the arm that caused Cap so much trouble was quite the feat.
Spidey has lifted an entire building so....
Cap and Bucky can lift approx. 1-2 tones. Spidey, however, can lift around 25-100 tones (it changes a lot) but he is always WAY stronger. The reason we never see it in a fight is because he trained himself to only use minimal strength so he doesn't accidentally kill his opponent, this is also why he prefers webbing up people over knocking them out.
that metal arm punched a shielded Captain America backwards through a closed elevator door. That was the scene I thought of when Peter catches Bucky's fist and is like, "COOOL!"

I love how throughout this movie and winter soldiers. His metal arm is insanely strong. Punched Caps shield so hard it sounds like a church bell, he punches through car roofs and doors. And then peter casually catches it without a sign of struggle. And just says

I mean, he just took that punch, shifted his arm aside and got all excited, without breaking a punch, leaving Bucky in disbelief.

That was a general order. If you watch the scene again you can see he swings in and kicks Falcon first because Falcon is obviously the most mobile of the two. Since Bucky is a homie and trained well he closes and attacks during that. Every other part of the fight is "keep your distance, web em up, like we discussed."

Every character is portrayed super well here, but the standout is Spider-Man hands down. What this scene does so well, as shown in his years in comics, is two fold fold: Peter Parker always down plays his own abilities, and his opponents almost always write him off as a threat.
I liked how they wrote the airport scene. Spidey could had webbed up Cap in addition to the shield and game over. The web dissolves in 2hrs but with several layers he would be stuck. Did Cap's team discuss their intensity on the fight? Bucky didn't go hard on Peter; "You have a metal arm!" Peter also caught that airport platform structure, therefore, he could be rated to be as strong as Thor and Hulk. He also took the full force of a bullet train in Far From Home; so as strong as Hulk.
He is not strong as hulk. Hulk can easily over power him and has multiple times. But he is strong enough to go toe to toe with most marvel heroes and win. He has taken on and over powered or temporarily stopped the avengers on multiple occasion

Spiderman I heard has knocked out hulk before. People dont give spiderman enough credit because hes very slim and always cracking jokes, and a teenager on top of that. But yeah he definitely has done some amazing feats
honestly in their base forms, or for some of them just their first suits of armor, Spiderman is stronger than most of the avengers. Only 4 I can think of can take him. Thor, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, and Doctor Strange.

Not only that in the comics it’s said many times he can kill people in 1 punch if he didn’t hold back, doc oc took over peter’s body one time and he punched vulture’s jaw clean off.
There is an interesting theory going around though. That moment when Peter stop that metal arm, is the first time Bucky heard his voice. The exact moment he realize that this guy in red spandex is a kid.
I mean he is old. And lived his life without an arm, its just human nature to actually use that free arm to retaliate right?
