I’m french and so when you showed the picture of Belle’s book in the DisneyLand I immediately paused the video, took a screenshot and read it. The text was pretty weird. It was french of course, but there was some sentences that didn’t sounded correct. The text talked about a girl named Adélaïde (correct spelling) who wants to find the perfect husband, and she’s basically talking about what she’ll do to be the perfect wife. Then there’s a description of a guy named Paul, and he’s perfect, handsome, charming etc. There’s a moment where a rose is mentioned, but that’s the only hint that I’ve found. Just to finish I really appreciate that they kept the text in french, and didn’t translated it, really a small but great detail. btw « Le songe d’une femme » ‘s prononciation is actually : « lah sonj dune fahm »
Idk why I’m replying to a 2 year old comment but le is pronounced mire like lɘ. Yeah I know that’s a backwards e. It’s from IPA. I’d compare it to the oo in foot.
hey! french speaker here! just so you know, we pronounce the Word "femme" as if the first E is an A, like when you scream Ahh!! so the correct prononciation is "F(Ah)mme". the rest was good! and in case you wanna know, under the picture in belle's book, it's writen : le prince charmant. translate it as : the prince charming ;) have a nice day!
BELLE'S FAVORITE BOOK IS SLEEPING BEAUTY!!! If you went to Enchanted tales with Belle you should know this! Aurora doesn't know Philip is a prince when they meet, Maleficent and the good fairies have magic spells, and Philip sword fights a dragon!
이가영 Personally, to me, being in disguise can be as simple as not wearing clothing that makes you look like a prince. He didn't look very princely when they meet in the woods.
Well of course she's reading La Belle et La Bête. It is kind of haunting that once she put it together that she knew her own fate. Stockholm Syndrome debunked: she knew exactly what was happening and manipulated the Beast into falling in love with her so she could become a princess and have more than her provincial life. So maybe the Beast himself was the victim of Reverse Stockholm Syndrome. Bam here's your next video, no credit needed.
Late comment, however, Belle didn’t approve or like the Beast at first, it was only after he became nice to her that she came to like him. The ‘love’ started as a friendship, then slowly became deeper. She also had no plans to return to the castle once the Beast let her go, she only bothered to return because he was nice to her and, if you will, repaid her ‘debt’ ( courtesy of being saved by the Beast from the wolves ) by trying to save him.
I actually always thought that the book she was reading was Sleeping Beauty. when she first meets the Prince, she doesn't know who he is and he actively doesn't tell her. She then finds out who he is later in the movie. There are also plenty of swordfights and magic spells.
Sara Shellhammer Me too! I still think it's Sleeping Beauty even after watching this video. As Ben stated, Beauty and the Beast lack the sword fights while Sleeping Beauty hits every checkmark given to us by Belle.
It sounds just like she's reading sleeping beauty Far off place: yes the fairies cottage Daring sword fights: yes the fight between the prince and the dragon queen Magic spells: the fairest gifts and color changing dress A prince in disguise: Aroura meets him in the forest and dosent know its him "till chapter 3" or soon anyway The blue dress: during the dance the fairies argue wether her dress should be blue or pink and it changes throughout the scene The End dance even matches
Dragon Queen? You mean Malificent? The prince was never in disguise she just didnt know who he was and she didnt even know he was a prince til the end, not chapter 3
@@Imastupiddino Aladdin makes no sense either cuz Aladdin wasnt a prince in disguise he was disguised as a prince and there really isnt daring swordfights in Aladdin. Yea he has a sword at the end but that's not a swordfight
The book was " the princess bride " ❤ -Daring swords fights on the cliff of insanity -Magic spells aka a miracle pill dipped in chocolate. - a prince in disguise or a farm boy who became as wealthy as a prince and was disguised as a pirate - discovering that the pirate was her long lost love and the prince of her dreams early in the story, one could say maybe as early as chapter 3. 💥 💥 💥
Far of places = Galaxy Daring sword fights = Lightsabers Magic spells = The Force A prince = Luke Far off places:Hogwarts Daring sword fights: Wand duels Magic spells: It's about wizards so... A prince in disguise: Snape There you go, it's about Star Wars or Harry Potter P. S. This can be Romeo and Juliet, Princess Bride, or it could be a foreshadow to the rest of the story +100 more *the information we got in the movie if so little it works for 100+ stories that is my point but still it's a cool video not hating i love Ben and J*
I thought she was reading a book about herself Far off places: beasts castle Daring swordfights: gaston fighting with beast Prince in disguise: beast Magic spells: enchantress Wow thx for all the likes guys!
Sleeping Beauty was supposed to take place in the 1400's, and Beauty and the Beast is supposed to have taken place in the 1600-1700's. so it fits that she could be ready about Aurora, Phillip, and Malificent!
I had always thought it was universally accepted as foreshadowing of what would happen to her (basically she's reading a version of her own story). I don't think the Disney people meant for it to be anything more than this.
I think Belle is reading about the Beast. Far away places, his castle. Daring sword fights, Beast and Gaston. Magic spells, the curse. A prince in disguise, the Beast.
I had a theory that Belle’s book was based on Giselle, so I looked it up. It turns out that the plot of Giselle was partially based on a poem called Les Fantomes from a book by….Victor Hugo! Wrong timeline, yes, but Hugo was known to occasionally “borrow” things from lesser books…. like Song D’un Femmes. The page from Song D’un Femmes on display in a replica of Belle’s book in Disneyworld sounds a lot like part of the plot from Victor Hugo’s book (Les Orientales) containing the poem… so I changed my mind. Belle is not reading Giselle, she is reading a book by Victor Hugo ( Nod to The Hunchback of Notre Dame) inspired by the Greek War of Independence (Nod to Hercules) written to point out the Parisian bias towards The Turkish (Nod to Aladdin). Since you can't read Belle’s book in the movie, and it was only added to Disney world in 2012, my ridiculous new theory is this: Disney hired an expert in French literature (who just happened to know a lot about Disney movies) to find a page for Belle’s book, and they are now laughing their head off at having laid a GIANT, extremely obscure, Easter Egg. Yes, I do realize how bizarre I sound right now, but at least I had fun for about an hour.
I always thought it was sleeping Beauty. I mean, the dance is EXACTLY the same. Arora doesn't know that the man she falls in love with is the prince until around chapter three, in the movie the pages flip and it is, I'm guessing around chapter three. Sword fights? Yup got them too! Magic spells? Definately! Please like if you agree! By the way I love your theory videos, they have inspired me to want to make my own some day so that I can entertain people as much as you two do.
I think it is Princess and the Frog. The original tale was said to be published in 1702. Far off places: countryside England Daring sword fight: the other prince who challenges the Frog Prince Prince in disguise: Frog Prince
What about sleeping Beauty? far off places= cottage in the middle of the woods magic = make it da fuk blue sword fight= dragon battling counts "this is where she meets prince charming; but she doesn't know it's him till chp. 3" = her meeting him in the woods and later finding out he was a prince. also the music is a reoccurring theme, it's not just those two parts. I get to listen to the movie over and over again in the car, so I know what I'm talking about.
Harry heading THANK you! Seriously, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well... He was Beast because in a sense he was MAGICALLY broken... But you get the point!
The reason they ripped off the dance at the end is because the director of Beauty and the Beast thought the ending needed a dance at the last minute, and the team had absolutely no time to animate it, so they took some old animation, xeroxed it, and then just changed it up to be the correct characters.
she's reading the princess bride! prince in disguise - Westley daring sword fights- Westley fights lots of people like that drunk guy (forgot his name) far off places- buttercup goes on a small trip on her horse and ends up in a forest that is miles away from the palace magic spells-in order to keep a Westley alive he went to the house where the wizard and his wife live
In a clip of the song "Belle" from the Disney adaptation of beauty and the beast with emma Watson in it, belle says she is going to return a book and she says "it's about two lovers in fair Verona." So the book she is reading is a playwright and it is Romeo and Juliet. Far off places = Verona Daring sword fights = their is a lot of fighting with swords Magic spells = maybe the potion that puts Juliet to sleep or the curse that mercutio puts on the two houses as he dies A prince in disguise - romeo who was in disguise at the masquerade ball where he met Juliet BOOM case closed
Problem is, there's no Disney movie called Romeo and Juliet. Except, they did make a movie based on that story called Gnomeo and Juliet, so close enough.
If u watch the video one more time and pause between 2:12-2:18 you'll hear the word "easter egg", which in this case means that Disney usually puts references to the next movie they're making.
Fun Fact: In "The Mob Song" Gaston rallies the villagers to attack the Beast, and he uses a line that Lady Macbeth used under similarly disheartening circumstances: "Screw your courage to the sticking point." So there are two Shakespearean references.
But is she reading the original version of beauty and the beast? The one where Belle is a lost fairy princess placed into the custody of a merchant who had just lost his own youngest daughter by her guardian aunt who mauled her would-be assassins to death by transforming into a bear, then faking Belle's own death.
I was watching the Belle song from the new live action Beauty and the Beast and I found this.... "Where are you off too?" "To return this book to Pere Rebure. It's about two lovers in fair Verona." Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona.... I haven't seen (or read) Romeo and Juliet, so i don't know if it fits the original criteria.... Could someone please tell me if it works?
well it kind of does, there are sword fights and it is in a far off place and at points Juliet considers Romeo her prince, however, there is no magic so its unlikely. Although she was probably talking about Romeo and Juliet in the live action, i dont think she is in the animated version.
romeo and julliet can fit as there are countless versions of the tale even 1 about new york gangs and i have read versions where the 2 families are rivaling kingdoms so technically prince although personally i havent found one with spells almost all versions have sword fights
I've always just seen it as her describing her own story; it honestly makes the most sense & is super cool because little does she know that she's gonna end up living through it.
6:57-7:20 I figured this out quite a while ago, and it's nice that someone else finally pointed it out :) Might I add the lyrics that rhyme in the second and fourth lines in both songs rhyme with each other. 1st song: Oh, isn't this amazing? It's my favorite part because you'll *see* Here's where she meets *prince charming* But she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter *three* 2nd song: New and a bit alarming Who'd have ever thought that this could *be* True that he's no *prince charming* But there's something in him that I simply didn't *see*
I’ve been thinking it could be the Iliad. Everything but the prince in disguise is covered until one realizes Patroclus is Achilles’ lover. He could be a metaphorical prince!
hey brothers!!! did you guys ever consider maybe belle is pretending this is all happening to her? she is a girl who craves adventure and loves reading. what if the whole movie is a dream or belle pretending that she is the girl in the book! but that's just a theory! (feel free to use this in a video if you see it and want to use it.)
When I heard the hint I thought Harry Potter because: Far away place:Hogwarts Prince in disguise:Snape Daring sword fights: Chamber of serects Magic spells: EVERYTHING IN HARRY POTTER
I think she's reading Beauty and the Beast because when she goes in his room and sees his picture she starts to discover that maybe the beast is actually a prince and that means Bell is actually reading her own story and all ready has her future set out for her.
I had always assumed that the book she was reading was her own story. Even as a kid it just made sense. As the viewer we have so much more information than she does at that point, especially if you've seen the movie more than once.
The book is sleeping beauty. It includes magic, sword fights, aurora doesn't know philip is a princce close to the end of the movie. Plus, the characters on the page bell is reading resembles aurora and price Philip
Yes close to the end. Would chapter 3 of a book be close to the end? It's not sleeping beauty. The prince is never in disguise she just doesnt know who she is. That's not a disguise.
it could but Princess Bride was released in---hold on *checks year it was released* ....i think you might be on to something. PB was released in 1987, BATB was released in 1991. i think we have a connection here mon ami
As a four year old I would sing the ‘snow song’ as “Huuueee and a bit Prince Charming” because I mixed up her reading and the song because as he said. Same background music 😂😂
it could be harry potter 1. Far off places = Hogwarts 2. Daring sword fights = sword of Griffindor. ever heard of it? 3. Magic spells= Obvvvvviously 4. A prince in disguise = Snape Harry, Ron and Hermione (cough cough) find out Snape is the half blood prince in the half blood prince But the belle reading her own story is a interesting concept.
On the topic of the clothes the beast wore, someone else pointed something out. At the start he wears his red cloak and no shirt. He is less human. He wears a shirt all the time after saving Belle. When she leaves, he wears the same cloak he did at the start, but he still has his shirt, signifying he has changed. With Gaston I saw in the last fight he looses his hair tie. He has become unraveled.
Sorry but think about it Disney released Beauty and the Beast in 1991 and The first Harry Potter book was released in 1997 , plus most of your evidence comes from separate books of the series which happens even later and not only that but the time period in which Belle is in it would be impossible for the great great grandmother of R.K Rowling to have been concived .
I had heard of the Aladdin theory, but I usually thought it was Sleeping Beauty or Snow White, honestly. It did cross my mind that it was her own story, but I had dismissed it...
I always thought she was reading the Disney version of sleeping beauty as a fun little Easter egg since in the song she says “here is where she meets Prince Charming but she won’t discover that it’s him till chapter three” referencing to the part where aurora meets prince Phillip but doesn’t know it’s him
I still think the Aladdin theory is true because the story Aladdin is based off is a short story from a version of a wildly popular book at the time (1600-1700) : Arabian Knights, and the version that Aladdin is in is the French version, Ben said that there weren't many Arabic book that were translated in English but the Arabian Knights book, the one Aladdin came from was actually translated by a French explorer and sold all over Europe in both English and French. So it would be pretty likely that Arabian Knights would be sold at a French library considering it was one of the most popular books in Europe at the time
Beauty and the beast was my favourite movie when I was a child. I've memorised almost every line of the movie and I always thought she was reading her own story! good to know that I'm not alone lol
I think she was reading Cinderella, their was once a tv cartoon series of Cinderella that showed how way before the ball party how she met Prince Charming and he lied to her saying that he was new in town, and they become friends and go through lots of adventures, later when she meets him in the ball party and found out that he was the prince, but doesn't know that she is the same girl...... and well, you know the rest 😁
Yes this is it: "Le Prince Charmant" under the picture is in French, which makes sense because Belle is French, and in English that would be "Prince Charming", so she is reading Cinderella, or a book full of fairy tales that includes Cinderella, at least.
I think that the book is Sleeping Beauty. Far-off places equals the castle and the cottage, daring sword fights equals Phillip's battle with dragon-Maleficent. A Prince in disguise is Phillip from the beginning of the movie "Here's when she meets Prince Charming, but she won't discover that it's him 'till Chapter 3," makes sense as well, as Briar and Phillip dance in the forest and meet early on, but she doesn't discover that it's him right away. Edit- also, Magic Spells equals the three fairies and Maleficent.
princess bride? far off places: yep daring swordfights: yep magic spells: miracle max revives westley a prince in disguise: westley pretends to be a pirate
While Star Wars does take place in a far away galaxy and has sword fights, there are a few things I have to correct u on. 1) The Force isn't really magic, it's actually more like telekinesis. 2) Star Wars doesn't have a *prince* in disgiuse 3) Star Wars wasn't made by Disney. George Lucas was the original creator before Disney *bought* the franchise
Yes, I have always thought she was reading her own story, even when I was little. The Aladdin idea never made any sense to me. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone in the world!
SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT HARRY POTTER! far off places:Hogwarts daring sword fights:wand duelling magic spells:you see them all the time in the wizarding world a prince in disguise:Snape.Pure Snape.
let's be honest guys, the book is totally A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Anyone else? no? ok.... I'll just sit over here and wait for my Fandom to arrive.... or Rhysand. Either on is fine. 😁 anyways that was another amazing episode!
Ayan F....... are you sure? it's 700 pages written by SARAH J MAAS..... she is the writting goddess.... but 700 pages written by Sarah.... she is going to make us think everything is ok... kill us halfway between the book... then revive us only to rip out our hearts. I too can't wait.... but honestly.... I'm terrified too. The maasian Fandom is not going to be fully intact after this book. Expecially with the the word ruin in the title. 😱😨😨😨
I always figured that she was reading "The Princess Bride". but that might be because I spent as much time watching both Beauty and the Beast and The Princess Bride growing up
Ian The Hedgefox NO HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE PRINCESS BRIDE IT IS THE BEST DATE MOVE OF ALL TIME AND AJDHIENUEKS. No, it's just a really good book/movie that has Far Off Places: They litterally travel across the ocean to get to another place where the majority of this film.happens. Daring Sword Fights: Masked Man vs Inigo in first fight and HELLO MY NAME IS INIGO MONTOYIO YOU KILLED MY FATHER PREPARE TO DIE Magic Spells: They literally bring Wesley back to life A Prince In Disguise: Buttercup thinks Wesley is the Dread Pirate Roberts, when he is really Wesley, her true love
I've always assumed she was reading a story similar to her own. Maybe not the same story, but something similar. Like she's dreaming of more and reading this exciting book that she loves but it's all just a pipe dream to her. Yet she has no idea that she's about to be swept up into a very similar story of her own and live what once only existed to her in books. Also it shows what kind of adventure she finds appealing and exciting, so we know just how much it means to her to go on this journey. Because remember, this isn't just a book; it's her favorite book that's she's already read twice.
IT'S THE PRINCESS BRIDE!!!!! Far off places= The capturing Daring swordfights= The first fight Magic potions= The last fight Prince in disguise= The guy fighting through the kidnappers IT'S SO POOPING OBVIOUS! I did no research. I just love both these movie.
Danielle Bullard and in the abridged version of the book chapters 2, 3 and 4 are all together are less then 15 pages so technically could be counted as one short chapter. Then chapter goes up to the end of the swamp before which Westley reveals himself. So it is also the 3rd chapter
if you watched the actual movie of beauty and the beast the first description she gives is for the book she is returning and is explaining why she couldn't put it down. The book you see later is the one the book keeper gives her to have. That is the one you see the picture in. Don't believe me go watch the movie. You will only need like first 10 mins to watch.
Ryan Johnson its meant to mean don't judge a book if it's boring cuz it has no colorful cover or its not worth reading cuz the cover is tattered its what's inside the text that matters. It could be boring as heck but the cover is amazing.
It's quite possible that Belle is reading the tale of Cinderella, in one of it's older forms. "Ever After" is another that takes form from the older retellings, including the prince being dressed for hunting, when Cinderella meets him, and then scolds him for trespassing on her father's estate. It has the magic you were referring to, and the sword fights come in with a secondary antagonist in collusion with her stepmother/cruel relation. Cinderella is a French tale in origin, so it would be quite possible for Belle to be reading the tale, and the story is certainly old enough to be available in a printed form. I think the French court of the time was also popularising Fairy tales, partly because of the line of Louis Kings hearkening back to Charlemagne. The bucolic idyll, and overstated design of baroque were big at this time as well, so the tales that had influenced the music became fashionable to read (along with the bodice-rippers and classics).
Tedious Totoro apparently those who saw an advanced screening said the movie didn't make a big deal about it and the "gay scene" they announced was more for laughs and not a serious arch for the character. More like acknowledging that the LGBT community exists and Lefou just happens to be apart of it.
I thought this too. I thought it was a bit pink. My idea was that she was being a little rebellious in this scene, throwing the snow and flirting with an 'enemy.'
I always thought she was reading her own story, because you can see the beast and her - after all the Prince is on all fours crawling, at least that’s the impression at first glance. It reminds me of Jean Cocteau’s version of the story for some reason. (Even though it’s old, that is a gorgeous film.)
lol an ad was playing before this video about quitting smoking, and the first thing I saw when this video played was the sign for the pipe... store? anyways, I thought it was kind of funny and maybe you'd like to look into why it was there. I'm not sure, but I don't think I saw many people smoking pipes in Beauty and the Beast.
@Supercarlinbros the first time I saw cars the one car who stood out and my favorite was nitroaid and I noticed he is in the cars 3 trailer, could that mean anything?
Always thought it was Sleeping Beauty. Castles-yep, Sword Fight- Prince Phillip vs Maleficent-yep, Doesn't know he's a prince until later-yep, magic-yep, Dance @ the end-Yep.
Well, by Disney standards, "Prince" and "Princess" take on different meanings. Like Mulan for instance. So we can potentially be loose with our definition of prince. The rest does seem to check out. Sword fights, a "prince" in disguise, true identity revealed to the love interest at "chapter 3-ish." (It's a play though, doesn't use chapters, actual reveal takes place in Act 1 Scene 5, but still near the beginning.)
it works... Belle does read Romeo and Juliet later in the movie... if Disney made a movie based on R&J they would definitely promote the characters too prince and princess... not much of a stretch considering how many small countries were on the Italian peninsula are the time...
I always thought that the book she was reading was Sleeping Beauty because it would have been far way either in a mystical world, or another place in Europe that she would still never see. Daring swordfights come from Prince Phillip and Maleficent, magic spells cast by Maleficent, and her prince could maybe be considered a prince in disguise that she finds out about in chapter 3 which could be the right time. The picture of the book in the movie even matches.
maybe Belle reads the book 'Once Upon A Time' sword fight: where should I start ?! magic spells: oh god?! where should i start ?! far off places: Storybrooke/the Enchanting Forest Prince in disguise: prince Charming/Hook/Rumple/....
I'm sure she's reading a book about a tv show two centuries before the invention of the television. Or thirty years before the release of the tv show, if you think from the filmmaker point of view ^^
heres what i think: in the song "belle"belle sings "heres where she meets prince charming but she doesnt know its him till chapter 3" this doesnt have to mean that prince charming takes of a disguise. it could mean the girl realizes that he is the one and in chapter three of the movie the song "something there" is performed. my guess is that belle is reading beauty and the beast. i have only come up with this theory by watching the 2017 version instead of the animated version.
I'm pretty sure Belle moved to Villeneuve when she was younger because in the 2017 movie it showed that Maurice had to leave Paris to prevent him and Belle from getting the plague when she was about 1-2 years old.
Well the newer film had to make up a lot of stuff to fill in plot holes in the original animated films, but I doubt that's what the original animators had in mind.
That garbage plays no role in the animated classic. In the animated classic she sang sense they day that we came to this poor provincial town. Implying there still new to area.
she is reading the second Harry Potter daring sword fights( the basilisk scene Godric Gryffindor sword)✔️ magic spells ✔️ A prince in disguise (Snape)✔️ 😏😉😎
Avery Stephens ummmmmmmmmmmm........ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released in 1997, 6 years after this film was released. Research before you theorize, lol!!!
I honk she is reading about herself because she said " Here's where she meets prince charming, but she won't descover that its him till' chapter 3" is the same as belle finding beast and belle discovers beast as a prince at he end

Sarah Elizabeth Maybe he's too thick to understand THERE ARE ACTUALLY PICTURES IN THE BOOK.

Hélobuzz L'éclair c’est vrai que le texte est étrange....
J'avoue
I kept correcting him in my mind when he pronounced “femme” wrong
Idk why I’m replying to a 2 year old comment but le is pronounced mire like lɘ. Yeah I know that’s a backwards e. It’s from IPA. I’d compare it to the oo in foot.
hey! french speaker here!
just so you know, we pronounce the Word "femme" as if the first E is an A, like when you scream Ahh!! so the correct prononciation is "F(Ah)mme". the rest was good!
and in case you wanna know, under the picture in belle's book, it's writen : le prince charmant. translate it as : the prince charming ;)
have a nice day!
Roxycat27 Thank you for the explanation! :-).
Roxycat27 your coment made me laugh 😂😂😂😃😃😃😄😄😄😅😅😅
BELLE'S FAVORITE BOOK IS SLEEPING BEAUTY!!! If you went to Enchanted tales with Belle you should know this!
Aurora doesn't know Philip is a prince when they meet, Maleficent and the good fairies have magic spells, and Philip sword fights a dragon!
I realized that it was sleeping beauty the first time I saw the movie and was old enough to.
ayrawinter It makes more sense than her reading her own story though.
ExtraCelestialz what about the disguise part...?
이가영 Personally, to me, being in disguise can be as simple as not wearing clothing that makes you look like a prince. He didn't look very princely when they meet in the woods.
Maria Thorpe oh...true....

SuperCarlinBrothers
"Beauty and the Beast" (the song Mrs pots sings during the dance)
SuperCarlinBrothers Be Our Guest!!!
Gaston, but i love every one of them:)
SuperCarlinBrothers be our guest
I actually always thought that the book she was reading was Sleeping Beauty. when she first meets the Prince, she doesn't know who he is and he actively doesn't tell her. She then finds out who he is later in the movie. There are also plenty of swordfights and magic spells.
Same!
Sara Shellhammer Me too! I still think it's Sleeping Beauty even after watching this video. As Ben stated, Beauty and the Beast lack the sword fights while Sleeping Beauty hits every checkmark given to us by Belle.
Same
Doesn't the picture kind of look like Snow White?
Same!
It sounds just like she's reading sleeping beauty
Far off place: yes the fairies cottage
Daring sword fights: yes the fight between the prince and the dragon queen
Magic spells: the fairest gifts and color changing dress
A prince in disguise: Aroura meets him in the forest and dosent know its him "till chapter 3" or soon anyway
The blue dress: during the dance the fairies argue wether her dress should be blue or pink and it changes throughout the scene
The End dance even matches
Dragon Queen.
Dragon Queen? You mean Malificent? The prince was never in disguise she just didnt know who he was and she didnt even know he was a prince til the end, not chapter 3
I mean...
I thought it was Aladdin
@@Imastupiddino Aladdin makes no sense either cuz Aladdin wasnt a prince in disguise he was disguised as a prince and there really isnt daring swordfights in Aladdin. Yea he has a sword at the end but that's not a swordfight
@@ibeethatoneguy7807 well it makes sense to me
The book was " the princess bride " ❤
-Daring swords fights on the cliff of insanity
-Magic spells aka a miracle pill dipped in chocolate.
- a prince in disguise or a farm boy who became as wealthy as a prince and was disguised as a pirate
- discovering that the pirate was her long lost love and the prince of her dreams early in the story, one could say maybe as early as chapter 3.
💥 💥 💥
SkyBlue That's always what I thought it was
SkyBlue ITS HARRY POTTER FOR GOD SAKE FIGHTS BASILIK MAGIC NOT EXPLAINING CASTLE HOGWARTS harry is the prince
SkyBlue I watched that movie in school
Or it could be Cinderella because she says “Prince Charming”
Animaniacs
Far of places = Galaxy
Daring sword fights = Lightsabers
Magic spells = The Force
A prince = Luke
Far off places:Hogwarts
Daring sword fights: Wand duels
Magic spells: It's about wizards so...
A prince in disguise: Snape
There you go, it's about Star Wars or Harry Potter
P. S. This can be Romeo and Juliet, Princess Bride, or it could be a foreshadow to the rest of the story +100 more
*the information we got in the movie if so little it works for 100+ stories that is my point but still it's a cool video not hating i love Ben and J*
Luna Đorđević. it's harry potter duh
Luna Đorđević. far places: hogwarts. sword fights : wand duels . magic spells : obviously. Prince:snape
Luna Đorđević He probably knows that but chose the story that fit the movie the most. Which is the movie.
Luna Đorđević plus it happens "long ago" so I'm assuming at least 300 years...
+HermioneGranger243 Harry Potter isn't the half-blood Prince, Snape is...
I thought she was reading a book about herself
Far off places: beasts castle
Daring swordfights: gaston fighting with beast
Prince in disguise: beast
Magic spells: enchantress
Wow thx for all the likes guys!
Smartygirl 456 I thought it was too, like clever foreshadowing for the rest of the film
yeah i thought that before he said it
Smartygirl 456 I was going to say that but I'll say my dad thought it was aladdin
Smartygirl 456 nah it's Harry Potter hog worts
Basilisk
Prince snape
Magic spells do I need to explain
Matthew games 123 yea but thats the whole series, it was only one book
Far off places, darling sword fights, magical spells, prince in disguise, that sounds like Sleeping Beauty!
Sleeping Beauty was supposed to take place in the 1400's, and Beauty and the Beast is supposed to have taken place in the 1600-1700's. so it fits that she could be ready about Aurora, Phillip, and Malificent!
Thats what they say the book is at Belles cottage in WDW.
I've thought the book was Sleeping Beauty for a while now too!
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie ever.
Lol I agree, first of all I thought this was obvious but clearly not, except for us. :)
Where is the sword fight in sleeping beauty
I had always thought it was universally accepted as foreshadowing of what would happen to her (basically she's reading a version of her own story). I don't think the Disney people meant for it to be anything more than this.
Shea Pierson omg i never realized that! But now that i think of it, it lines up pretty well
I always thought that aswell. But I love the Aladdin theory too much so I wished it was that haha
Huffle Kekos It could be both.
Shea Pierson o
And what if her Book is an Collection of many "different" stories?
I think Belle is reading about the Beast.
Far away places, his castle. Daring sword fights, Beast and Gaston. Magic spells, the curse. A prince in disguise, the Beast.
Sharon White I thought that too
Sharon White if you listen to the intro song, every time belle says something about a book it is always about taking care of an animal or beast
Thats what the video says.
Yeah I'm just saying, I always thought that anyway when I watched it
true true
Rose In the Library Oh wow that’s a lot of dedication!! You should become a theorist!
(d’une femme)
I always thought it was sleeping Beauty. I mean, the dance is EXACTLY the same. Arora doesn't know that the man she falls in love with is the prince until around chapter three, in the movie the pages flip and it is, I'm guessing around chapter three. Sword fights? Yup got them too! Magic spells? Definately! Please like if you agree! By the way I love your theory videos, they have inspired me to want to make my own some day so that I can entertain people as much as you two do.
I absolutely agree
That's what I was thinking too.
I think it is Princess and the Frog. The original tale was said to be published in 1702. Far off places: countryside England
Daring sword fight: the other prince who challenges the Frog Prince
Prince in disguise: Frog Prince
That makes sense.
Good theory
Who is in countryside England ??
What about sleeping Beauty?
far off places= cottage in the middle of the woods
magic = make it da fuk blue
sword fight= dragon battling counts
"this is where she meets prince charming; but she doesn't know it's him till chp. 3" = her meeting him in the woods and later finding out he was a prince.
also the music is a reoccurring theme, it's not just those two parts. I get to listen to the movie over and over again in the car, so I know what I'm talking about.
Riley Bushnell i died at make it da fuk blue HILARIOUS!!!!
That's the same thing I was thinking
for me it is Romeo and Juliet
Riley Bushnell MAKE IT DA FUK BLUE!
Riley Bushnell what you talkin about?! Make it da fuk pink!!
Am I the only one that thinks beast is ugly when he is in prince form
Harry heading I think that too
Harry heading YES!! xD finally another person who thinks so lol
Harry heading THANK you! Seriously, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well... He was Beast because in a sense he was MAGICALLY broken... But you get the point!
Harry heading nope
Harry heading whenever we watch the movie and he turns into a human I'm like: um, can we get the big "ugly" beast back please?😶
"If you speak French and would like to read the page, BE OUR GUEST."
I see what you did there.
The reason they ripped off the dance at the end is because the director of Beauty and the Beast thought the ending needed a dance at the last minute, and the team had absolutely no time to animate it, so they took some old animation, xeroxed it, and then just changed it up to be the correct characters.
That's what my animation professor, who was the animator that did Mrs. Pots in Beauty and the Beast, said is what happened.
Actually, there's lots of examples of reused animation in Disney. Look up videos. It was mostly done to save time drawing the scenes.
she's reading the princess bride!
prince in disguise - Westley
daring sword fights- Westley fights lots of people like that drunk guy (forgot his name)
far off places- buttercup goes on a small trip on her horse and ends up in a forest that is miles away from the palace
magic spells-in order to keep a Westley alive he went to the house where the wizard and his wife live
I've always thought she was reading her own story since I was a kid.The aladdin theory was interesting though.
I thought she was reading Harry Potter
Tiff Prendergast it could be.
The far off place is Hogwarts
Magic spells is pretty well.... obvious
Prince in disguise: Severus Snape
I hope it's all a joke, since HP wasn't released when Beauty & the Beast was out :P
Doubtful. Harry Potter is 1990's era while Beauty and the Beast is 18th century.
Siobhany Louise prisoner of azkaban
yara and Neville kills nagini with a sword
In a clip of the song "Belle" from the Disney adaptation of beauty and the beast with emma Watson in it, belle says she is going to return a book and she says "it's about two lovers in fair Verona." So the book she is reading is a playwright and it is Romeo and Juliet.
Far off places = Verona
Daring sword fights = their is a lot of fighting with swords
Magic spells = maybe the potion that puts Juliet to sleep or the curse that mercutio puts on the two houses as he dies
A prince in disguise - romeo who was in disguise at the masquerade ball where he met Juliet
BOOM case closed
Problem is, there's no Disney movie called Romeo and Juliet. Except, they did make a movie based on that story called Gnomeo and Juliet, so close enough.
Ian The Hedgefox why would it have to be a disney movie?
Belle also teaches Beast to read using "Romeo and Juliet" in the Broadway musical version.
If u watch the video one more time and pause between 2:12-2:18 you'll hear the word "easter egg", which in this case means that Disney usually puts references to the next movie they're making.
Fun Fact: In "The Mob Song" Gaston rallies the villagers to attack the Beast, and he uses a line that Lady Macbeth used under similarly disheartening circumstances: "Screw your courage to the sticking point."
So there are two Shakespearean references.
I had always assumed she was actually reading beauty and the beast?
Lol when you comment before watching the whole video 😂
"Far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise..." She's reading Harry Potter.
Same. It fits so well XD
Me too!
But is she reading the original version of beauty and the beast? The one where Belle is a lost fairy princess placed into the custody of a merchant who had just lost his own youngest daughter by her guardian aunt who mauled her would-be assassins to death by transforming into a bear, then faking Belle's own death.
I just had a thought....
What if belle is just dreaming about her adventure.... PROVOKED by the story she is reading?!
Mind Blown.
And youre proofs are? None? So it's not the case ^^
Let's just stick to the original concept, thank you.
That makes so much sense
I agree with that theory but there would have to be some nod to it being a dream
anyone thought sleeping Beauty makes more sense bc the pic looks like them and she doesn't know that its him till towards the end
But you can’t see the castle from the forest and Auroras hair is blonde
But why recolor and what about the castle???? Like why go back to the picture you drew and decide you’re hair should be a different color?????
I was watching the Belle song from the new live action Beauty and the Beast and I found this....
"Where are you off too?"
"To return this book to Pere Rebure. It's about two lovers in fair Verona."
Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona....
Although she was probably talking about Romeo and Juliet in the live action, i dont think she is in the animated version.
maybe the magic spell could refer to the friar's sleeping potion ?
No it doesn't work. That is the book she is returning to the library not the one she sings about. Completely different books.
K
romeo and julliet can fit as there are countless versions of the tale even 1 about new york gangs and i have read versions where the 2 families are rivaling kingdoms so technically prince although personally i havent found one with spells almost all versions have sword fights
I've always just seen it as her describing her own story; it honestly makes the most sense & is super cool because little does she know that she's gonna end up living through it.
6:57-7:20 I figured this out quite a while ago, and it's nice that someone else finally pointed it out :)
Might I add the lyrics that rhyme in the second and fourth lines in both songs rhyme with each other.
1st song:
Oh, isn't this amazing?
It's my favorite part because you'll *see*
Here's where she meets *prince charming*
But she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter *three*
2nd song:
New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could *be*
True that he's no *prince charming*
But there's something in him that I simply didn't *see*
I’ve been thinking it could be the Iliad. Everything but the prince in disguise is covered until one realizes Patroclus is Achilles’ lover. He could be a metaphorical prince!
"And you can't come because you don't speak french."
-VeggieTales
Twenty Paphonies I also thought of this. Lol
YES!
hey brothers!!! did you guys ever consider maybe belle is pretending this is all happening to her? she is a girl who craves adventure and loves reading. what if the whole movie is a dream or belle pretending that she is the girl in the book! but that's just a theory! (feel free to use this in a video if you see it and want to use it.)
I like this theory
Pituzer me toooooooooo😃🥐
Katie Stephens hmm interesting
I've never thought about this. But it's a good theory
Katie Stephens that's a good observation
When I heard the hint I thought Harry Potter because:
Far away place:Hogwarts
Prince in disguise:Snape
Daring sword fights: Chamber of serects
Magic spells: EVERYTHING IN HARRY POTTER
Ello There, I like anime i thought that 2 but then i thought "no" .
This came out before the first book was published.
Yayyyyyyyy
I think she's reading Beauty and the Beast because when she goes in his room and sees his picture she starts to discover that maybe the beast is actually a prince and that means Bell is actually reading her own story and all ready has her future set out for her.
I had always assumed that the book she was reading was her own story. Even as a kid it just made sense. As the viewer we have so much more information than she does at that point, especially if you've seen the movie more than once.
When i should be doing summer work but instead im letting someone tell me the more important questions of life.
Seriously me right now😂😭✋🏻
Somehow, the diary of _River Song_ travels through time and Space andgot into the hands of Belle!!;-)
andysbg77 my god... We have to get it back !! To the Tardis, Quick !!!
DUN DUN DUN!
andysbg77 omg. boo did it again!
andysbg77 DAMN
Tick Tock goes the Clock...
I always thought it was Princess Bride (matches up nicely)
Some Thing HA
Some Thing I was thinking that exact thing
it could but Princess Bride was released in---hold on
*checks year it was released*
....i think you might be on to something.
PB was released in 1987, BATB was released in 1991.
i think we have a connection here mon ami
I wonder if he will acknowledge this
I love that movie
When I was young I always thought she was reading her story, lol. I watched this video hoping to be proven wrong. 😂😂
Same, lol, I felt it was pretty obvious.
As a four year old I would sing the ‘snow song’ as
“Huuueee and a bit Prince Charming” because I mixed up her reading and the song because as he said. Same background music 😂😂
it could be harry potter
1. Far off places = Hogwarts
2. Daring sword fights = sword of Griffindor. ever heard of it?
3. Magic spells= Obvvvvviously
4. A prince in disguise = Snape
Harry, Ron and Hermione (cough cough) find out Snape is the half blood prince in the half blood prince
But the belle reading her own story is a interesting concept.
Awesomesause 123 Publish Dates Are Important Though
I see how that could work, but I still agree with her reading her own story. SORRY!!! I'm a major fan of Harry Potter!!!
Uuuhhhhh..... -_-
100000000 points to nothing
She could be reading Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince, but none of the Harry Potter movies aren't *owned* by Disney. Theory busted.
It actually kinda sounds like Harry Potter.
Far off places = Hogwarts
Daring sword fights = the chamber of secrets
Magic spells
A prince in Disguise = Severus Snape
Sorry but think about it Disney released Beauty and the Beast in 1991 and The first Harry Potter book was released in 1997 , plus most of your evidence comes from separate books of the series which happens even later and not only that but the time period in which Belle is in it would be impossible for the great great grandmother of R.K Rowling to have been concived .
lexi hauer
I was actually thinking that! Well, until they said about a prince...
lexi hauer
Do you ship Harry/Hermione?
Aisha Husain how is that relevant to anything lol
I always thought it was sleeping beauty...
melissa mastrototaro If you ask Belle she will tell you it is.
Lol I go to Disney world once a week... I just might have to
melissa mastrototaro which version? the one while sleeping the king rapes her?
Robert Mills lol lol omg Anne Rice's 4 beauty books are insanity
I know but I was talking about the Grimm Bros version
I had heard of the Aladdin theory, but I usually thought it was Sleeping Beauty or Snow White, honestly. It did cross my mind that it was her own story, but I had dismissed it...
I always thought it was Snow White as well, the original story, not the Disney version.
I always thought she was reading the Disney version of sleeping beauty as a fun little Easter egg since in the song she says “here is where she meets Prince Charming but she won’t discover that it’s him till chapter three” referencing to the part where aurora meets prince Phillip but doesn’t know it’s him
OMG I literally opened an email from my school and I got belle in the school play !! Eeeeeeeeehhhh
Boo Tolchin Congrats! That's awesome!
Boo Tolchin Congratulations! I'm sure you'll do wonderful! Good luck!
Boo Tolchin Congrats
Boo Tolchin CONGRATS
gina lobaito I have to go to a beauty and the beast play tomorrow maybe we go to the same district?
I still think the Aladdin theory is true because the story Aladdin is based off is a short story from a version of a wildly popular book at the time (1600-1700) : Arabian Knights, and the version that Aladdin is in is the French version, Ben said that there weren't many Arabic book that were translated in English but the Arabian Knights book, the one Aladdin came from was actually translated by a French explorer and sold all over Europe in both English and French. So it would be pretty likely that Arabian Knights would be sold at a French library considering it was one of the most popular books in Europe at the time
"Remember she just moved to town"
-You
"Every morning just the same. Since the morning that we came"
-Belle
We don't know how long it's been since they came it might have been just a few months
Nina Anderson Was that the anime one?
Tru Pype yes
This is true in a lot of books and even Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella
Yes this is it: "Le Prince Charmant" under the picture is in French, which makes sense because Belle is French, and in English that would be "Prince Charming", so she is reading Cinderella, or a book full of fairy tales that includes Cinderella, at least.
David Durrett and she mentioned it in the song "here's where she meets Prince Charming, but she won't discover that it's him till chapter 3"
4:12 “BE OUR GUEST”
I think that the book is Sleeping Beauty. Far-off places equals the castle and the cottage, daring sword fights equals Phillip's battle with dragon-Maleficent. A Prince in disguise is Phillip from the beginning of the movie "Here's when she meets Prince Charming, but she won't discover that it's him 'till Chapter 3," makes sense as well, as Briar and Phillip dance in the forest and meet early on, but she doesn't discover that it's him right away.
Edit- also, Magic Spells equals the three fairies and Maleficent.
I Ship Jaspis Huh, headcanon accepted. Better than what I thought it was.....
princess bride?
far off places: yep
daring swordfights: yep
magic spells: miracle max revives westley
a prince in disguise: westley pretends to be a pirate
Westley is her Prince Charming maybe?
Actually that completely makes sense I think you’re right
it's so weird how he pronounce 'le songe d'une femme' in french hahaha because we pronounce it 'fAm' ^^
She's reading Harry Potter lol
Kaili Levulis lol
lol
That's not owned by Disney.
While Star Wars does take place in a far away galaxy and has sword fights, there are a few things I have to correct u on.
1) The Force isn't really magic, it's actually more like telekinesis.
2) Star Wars doesn't have a *prince* in disgiuse
3) Star Wars wasn't made by Disney. George Lucas was the original creator before Disney *bought* the franchise
Kaili Levulis lols 😂
All I could translate was
But it's my sister
That made me laugh :)
Ella Corcoran i could only catch eye of "the men" so 😂
Ella Corcoran omg lmao
Ella Corcoran oh god! 😖🤢
Yes, I have always thought she was reading her own story, even when I was little. The Aladdin idea never made any sense to me. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone in the world!
SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT HARRY POTTER!
far off places:Hogwarts
daring sword fights:wand duelling
magic spells:you see them all the time in the wizarding world
a prince in disguise:Snape.Pure Snape.
Inkling Tomboy But Harry Potter wasn't published then. Yeah it kinda fits but it didnt exist then!!
Meh, most likely lord of the rings. I know it wasn't around then, but I'm just lazy
*The Solordian Legend* The Lord of the Rings trilogy was written in the 50s.
Exactly what I thought when I read the title of the video last night!!
Inkling Tomboy OMG
as a chemistry major I am loving ur organic molecule in ur shirt!
Sarah Pruitt what is it? I have been trying to figure out what molecule it is and I can't figure it out.
Kristina Caudill I think it's caffeine...don't quote me though
it is caffeine !!!!
Yup! It's caffeine. Yay coffee XD
Sarah Pruitt
rain drop
drop top
this memes annoying
it needs to stop stop
let's be honest guys, the book is totally A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Anyone else? no? ok.... I'll just sit over here and wait for my Fandom to arrive.... or Rhysand. Either on is fine. 😁 anyways that was another amazing episode!
Angel Of Justice all the nerd credit. high five.
Angel Of Justice it's so true though 😂😂 and we are all waiting for our own Rhysand
What I really want is for ACOWAR to come out!!
Angel Of Justice well ive always thought a Court of Thornes and Roses was based on Beauty and the Beast
I always figured that she was reading "The Princess Bride". but that might be because I spent as much time watching both Beauty and the Beast and The Princess Bride growing up
Oh yup she reading her own story
DuckeeGaming exactly
She's probably reading The Princess Bride
There's no Disney Movie with this name.
Ian The Hedgefox NO HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE PRINCESS BRIDE IT IS THE BEST DATE MOVE OF ALL TIME AND AJDHIENUEKS.
No, it's just a really good book/movie that has
Far Off Places: They litterally travel across the ocean to get to another place where the majority of this film.happens.
Daring Sword Fights: Masked Man vs Inigo in first fight and HELLO MY NAME IS INIGO MONTOYIO YOU KILLED MY FATHER PREPARE TO DIE
Magic Spells: They literally bring Wesley back to life
A Prince In Disguise: Buttercup thinks Wesley is the Dread Pirate Roberts, when he is really Wesley, her true love
She doesn't mind the kissing scenes as much now
along with theres a woman whos wig falls off during that song, which is a nod to the princess bride
Aaron Rivera lol
Is it only me who wants to read the book as soon as they knew what it was?
Ginga SEJ nope
I've always assumed she was reading a story similar to her own. Maybe not the same story, but something similar. Like she's dreaming of more and reading this exciting book that she loves but it's all just a pipe dream to her. Yet she has no idea that she's about to be swept up into a very similar story of her own and live what once only existed to her in books. Also it shows what kind of adventure she finds appealing and exciting, so we know just how much it means to her to go on this journey. Because remember, this isn't just a book; it's her favorite book that's she's already read twice.
IT'S THE PRINCESS BRIDE!!!!!
Far off places= The capturing
Daring swordfights= The first fight
Magic potions= The last fight
Prince in disguise= The guy fighting through the kidnappers
IT'S SO POOPING OBVIOUS!
I did no research. I just love both these movie.
Danielle Bullard and in the abridged version of the book chapters 2, 3 and 4 are all together are less then 15 pages so technically could be counted as one short chapter. Then chapter goes up to the end of the swamp before which Westley reveals himself. So it is also the 3rd chapter
before I start watching, Princess Bride
L as in Lojik yesssss XDDDD
L as in Lojik mein kampf
👍👍😃😃
Yes! I commented the same thing just now!
Inconceivable!!!
if you watched the actual movie of beauty and the beast the first description she gives is for the book she is returning and is explaining why she couldn't put it down. The book you see later is the one the book keeper gives her to have. That is the one you see the picture in. Don't believe me go watch the movie. You will only need like first 10 mins to watch.
...I thought he gave her the book because she liked it so much. As in, same book.
nicholas ortiz not true, I know, I literally had the lines memorized a few years ago.
I've ALWAYS thought she was reading Beauty and the Beast. I was surprised to find out this was a big mystery.
Far off places- Hogwarts
Fights- Duels
Magic spells- ... spells?
a prince in disguise- neville? (cuz he has been seen as a goof for all his life)
don't judge a book by it's cover? then what are they there for?
Ryan Johnson true
Ryan Johnson its meant to mean don't judge a book if it's boring cuz it has no colorful cover or its not worth reading cuz the cover is tattered its what's inside the text that matters. It could be boring as heck but the cover is amazing.
to protect the pages
lol
Jeff T Yeah, so the pages dont burn on the inside :/
I already theorized this as a kid
The Maintainer same
The Maintainer Same me and my mum thinks she's reading her movie And we were amazed 😀
That's awesome.
How do you guys feel about Lefou being announced as gay in the remake?
Totally makes sense. lol
Tedious Totoro apparently those who saw an advanced screening said the movie didn't make a big deal about it and the "gay scene" they announced was more for laughs and not a serious arch for the character. More like acknowledging that the LGBT community exists and Lefou just happens to be apart of it.
Natalie Rodgers i hate shippers. Ruin things
+WeAreAllJust SuitsForSkeletons Okay. What was the point of sharing that though? :-P
I feel... apathetic.
when I was seven I thought she was reading Cinderella
Frisk Dreemurr daring sword fights? I don't think so. A prince in disguise? No
Frisk Dreemur WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE ME?!?!?!?!
emerly 1024 LOL!!
If the color red was reserved to represent bad, then why is Belle wearing red in the snow? This is confusing me😕
NexaRae More Rosy pink then it is red
She is evil
The blue and red dichotomy is used in Aladdin too!
@Supercarlinbros the first time I saw cars the one car who stood out and my favorite was nitroaid and I noticed he is in the cars 3 trailer, could that mean anything?
Just continuity.
Always thought it was Sleeping Beauty. Castles-yep, Sword Fight- Prince Phillip vs Maleficent-yep, Doesn't know he's a prince until later-yep, magic-yep, Dance @ the end-Yep.
I always assumed she was reading "Romeo and Juliet"
SAME
***** Romeo himself.
could Chip from Beauty and Beast be the baker that the step sister marries from Cinderella II??
Shannon Strand You. Broke. Me
snickerdoodle cookies LMAO
Shannon Strand or the tea set in tarzan
Shannon Strand aww
Shannon Strand 3
Before watching the video, I always thought it was Romeo and Juliet
whaojen since when is romeo a prince
Well, by Disney standards, "Prince" and "Princess" take on different meanings. Like Mulan for instance. So we can potentially be loose with our definition of prince. The rest does seem to check out. Sword fights, a "prince" in disguise, true identity revealed to the love interest at "chapter 3-ish." (It's a play though, doesn't use chapters, actual reveal takes place in Act 1 Scene 5, but still near the beginning.)
Darren MacQueen Romeo still isn't a prince
it works... Belle does read Romeo and Juliet later in the movie... if Disney made a movie based on R&J they would definitely promote the characters too prince and princess... not much of a stretch considering how many small countries were on the Italian peninsula are the time...
Niel Cassidy But this still doesn't make romeo a prince
I always thought that the book she was reading was Sleeping Beauty because it would have been far way either in a mystical world, or another place in Europe that she would still never see. Daring swordfights come from Prince Phillip and Maleficent, magic spells cast by Maleficent, and her prince could maybe be considered a prince in disguise that she finds out about in chapter 3 which could be the right time. The picture of the book in the movie even matches.
maybe Belle reads the book 'Once Upon A Time'
sword fight: where should I start ?!
magic spells: oh god?! where should i start ?!
far off places: Storybrooke/the Enchanting Forest
Prince in disguise: prince Charming/Hook/Rumple/....
I'm sure she's reading a book about a tv show two centuries before the invention of the television. Or thirty years before the release of the tv show, if you think from the filmmaker point of view ^^
Osher Shimon
I haven't finished watching this series yet...
heres what i think:
in the song "belle"belle sings "heres where she meets prince charming but she doesnt know its him till chapter 3" this doesnt have to mean that prince charming takes of a disguise. it could mean the girl realizes that he is the one and in chapter three of the movie the song "something there" is performed. my guess is that belle is reading beauty and the beast. i have only come up with this theory by watching the 2017 version instead of the animated version.
Was it not obvious she was reading her own story? That was my immediate thought while watching the movie
she is reading the second Harry Potter
daring sword fights( the basilisk scene Godric Gryffindor sword)✔️
magic spells ✔️
A prince in disguise (Snape)✔️
😏😉😎
Oh and far off places- Hogwarts
I thought the same lol
Avery Stephens ummmmmmmmmmmm........ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released in 1997, 6 years after this film was released. Research before you theorize, lol!!!
Well its just a theory. I like Harry Potter, so it's fun to connect things to it.
Snape isn't a prince until book five and Harry Potter isn't Disney…
why do you call it' towel section'?
What else would a person call it?
Hiif with a fake username why not
Because it's down below
That's the actual reason
Aymanac 7 *facepalm* all this time and I just...............
And when they made that video, Jon accidentally called the comment section the "towel section", and it just caught on.
no, she’s not reading her own story, she is reading fifty shades of French
Fifty shades of French, that is read by random English people, that makes so much sense, You should make a Theroy on that, i would give it fifty likes
I honk she is reading about herself because she said " Here's where she meets prince charming, but she won't descover that its him till' chapter 3" is the same as belle finding beast and belle discovers beast as a prince at he end
I think its the princess and the frog... It makes so much sense
