Except Disney actually told the opposite. They literally creaated actual Disneyverse, via their Disney Channel series Sophia the First (also it doesn't include big part of the ones included... but is generally way more vast), and even confirmed, that pretty much every movie that isn't set on Earth is in the Everrealm (actual name of the world of Sophia the First, the name Disneyverse wasn't actually used for that. )
There’s an episode of Tangled the Series where some of the characters construct an old portal that traps them in a world that looks very similar to the realm from Big Hero 6.
Moana doesnt need to time travel, as u said she lives on an island. while britain was building stonehenge Egypt was making the pyramids of giza. it is entirely possible that moana takes place on an islad thats just really unadvanced. there would be no need for her to live forever that way
I theory is that Pixar made "not having one of key Easter eggs in the movie" an Easter egg. Like not having A113 in the Monsters Inc, not having Pizza Planet truck in The Incredibles, not having Luxo Lamp in Brave (technically had another Easter egg to Pixar logo) and The Good Dinosaur etc.
If you watch Tangled: The Series, that has so much lore, and potential to affect and verify the Disneyverse! There are portals, spirits, time travel, demons, alchemy, and so much more!
At first i was like "yea everyone knows Rapunzel and Eugene popped up in Frozen" but then i was like "what the heck! The Tangled flower showed up in Moana?!?!" 😂😂 thanks guys!

We can’t assume that Moana is set in the distant past. They point out in the movie that they don’t change their traditions “the dancers are practicing, they dance to an ancient song ‘who needs a knee song this ones all we need’” and it’s been a long enough time that everyone (except the chiefs) forgot that their people were voyagers. So it’s been a long time since their people travelled beyond their remote island to explore the world. In the real world, if it wasn’t for European colonisation, much of the remote people in the world would stay remote. So Moana could theoretically exist anytime before colonialism. The only time we can say she doesn’t exist in is now because surely planes ect would have flown by.
This was exactly my thought. When Ben said it was too far in the past I thought he was wrong. He’s actually not. The isolation of Moana’s tribe isn’t fully fiction, the reasoning was but Pacific Islanders did stop voyaging for a millennium by around 1000 BCE. It was also confirmed that Moana was set 3000 years ago. 2016 - 3000 = -984 which means it was about 984 BCE. Rapunzel in contrast was set in 1780’s. Crazy!
@@SamanthDarling finally someone else does research before commenting. Only isn't Tangled set in the 1830s just before Frozen? If it's set in the 1780s she would be like 80 when she cameos in Frozen.
422rds honestly, I took mother gothel’s info page at face value when it said 1780 but considering how long Gothel was trying to stay alive and beautiful, I am leaning towards you being correct about it being 1830 rather than 1780.

‘Kingdom of corona’ Disney:Shouldn’t have named it that.Should NOT have named it that. (Actually, the sun is in what’s called a corona shape so it could be a clever choice based on that, with repunzel being the sun I don’t know)
Yeah corona is literally just the latin word for crown. That’s why it’s used a lot, because it’s cool. ‘Coronavirus’ is named so because under a microscope the virus looks like a crown.
*Disney:* we have that boat scene in Frozen 2 FOR A REASON. *Theorists:* gonna need you to hop ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way off my back about this. *Disney:* oh ok I'll get off that thing then.
Another form of time travel was actually introduced in Tangled: the Series. In the show Rapunzel finds an hourglass that sends her back in time. And she needs to find the past version of the hourglass to get back to her normal time, while teaching young Eugene an important lesson about honesty and friendship. However the big zinger to all of this is that when you go back in time you takeover the body of whoever you were closest to in the past. Meaning that anyone could have gotten their hands on it and go back in time to Moana and be hiding in plain sight. That kid who gave Moana a weird smolder look that could have been Flynn River.
But wouldn't they have to be in the same area for this to happen. When rapunzel goes back in time, she is in the same spot she was before traveling back. So if the tangled characters could get on the island, this could work. (Plus I'm pretty sure they get stuck on an island in an episode, so that might be a start)
@@BK-wb9oq I wouldn't count on that island being Motunui for a few reasons. 1. In the Season 3 premier, we see a map Rapunzel drew of their journey from Corona to the Dark Kingdom, and on that map we see the island is called Terapi Island. 2. If Motunui was the same island then we would probably see all the leaf people on the island in Moana which we don't. 3. (Hope you like geography 'Cause it's a big part of this last part). On the map a compass shows that Corona is somewhere south west of the Terapi Island, meaning that it's somewhere in northern Germany. Judging by the geography of her map (that's right I went so extreme for this that I got out a map and lined up Rapunzel's with it) I managed to determine that Trischen is the real life location of Terapi Island, and that the island of Neuwerk to be the real life location of Corona. (Que applause). Now both of those places are in north west Germany and Moana is set in Polynesia, and (according to film theory) 2,626 km away from Te fiti which I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say is based on the real life location of Tahiti. We know Motunui is south west of Te fiti based off grandma Tala's map at the beginning. So we're looking for an island 2,626km south west of Tahiti, I give you Ha'ano an island 2,624km south west of Tahiti, (also I don't think it's a coincidence that if you swap the H with an M and rearrange the letters you can spell Moana), and I have also determined that the real life location of Maui's island to the island Niue, and the location of Tomatoa's Lair to be the Cook Islands just south east of that. Now you might be wondering "what does this have to do with anything?" Well this tells us that Terapi Island and Motunui can't be the same place because if it was then Rapunzel would have to travel 16,189km by hot air balloon over the course of about 2 or 3 hours and same thing for her birthday lanterns. Also because we don't see any of the leaf people.
@@422rds wow, that was detailed and impressive. (I like a lot of detail). That makes sense. I wrote that when I was half asleep, possibly why it might not make sense. Thanks for all the explanation.
Ultra meta idea, proposed time travel tales are passed down through Fred's family of joint ventures between a group of vastly different people stopping enemies aplenty and Stan Lee makes these tales into an in universe marvel comics
Something I'd love to see an SCB take on: who's the most powerful Disney villain? We've got powerful witches, an evil fairy, an all-powerful genie, and literal gods. Who would win in a fight? Which hero's accomplishments are most impressive, considering the villain they defeated?
Martin McDonnell the word “Organic” doesn’t mean grown wild, it means that it’s natural, so if you have an organic apple, that doesn’t mean it was wild, it means there’s nothing extra added
Martin McDonnell just because it’s organic, doesn’t mean it’s not planned, look at *most* farms, they plan where they plant, what they plant, how they plant, what’s edible, what’s not edible, what’s used for healing. Organic doesn’t mean it’s not planned
This could explain why Fred is so obsessed with super powers? He has heard the story of his ancestor being thwarted/wronged by a super hero/villain with ice powers, which has been passed down through the family. You guys have awesome content!
I think House of Mouse implied all the characters are "animated actors" (in a Roger-Rabbit-sorta way) who filmed the Disney films. Meaning the movies themselves don't seem to be in the same universe, but on another meta-level their "actors" are.
“what if there was a disney cinematic universe where all the characters existed and interacted” *the tv show Once Upon A Time: What am I, a joke to you”*
6:10 You said Moana was "way too far in the past". However, there was a time polynesians stopped voyaging in real life. The time they would have started exploring again would be between 500-1500 AD. Since it is a fictional universe, would it be too far of a stretch to say that it is possible they only started exploring again a bit later, say, in 1800? If we assume that, it would be plausible the timelines add up.
I'm hyped for "Raya & the Last Dragon", even though a trailer didn't come out yet. Not only did Disney start doing talking animals again with "Zootopia", they're going to start doing humans interacting with talking animals again.
Quick thought: Moana’s people were trapped on that island for 1000 years, unable to grow in technology for that long would allow other civilizations to advance without them. Also: This might be easily disproved, but in coco, the marigold flower is a gold flower that represents the dead… Rapunzels glowing flower gives life and what do the petals do when someone receives a blessing? _they glow_ ! Maybe Pixar and Disney can be related but this is just a small detail I noticed.
Theory: Disney has begun to use SCB as a test bed for new storytelling. The better a theory of theirs performs, the better likelihood they have of incorporating it into their movies.

@@BubblyBeauty424 the problem is that. One how did Gothel change her eye and hair color? Contact lenses weren't invented until 1887, hair dye wasn't invented until 1907, and Tangled is set in 1834. Two most of the evidence points to Gothel being from the 1500s. From her clothes to the fact that pretty everyone at Disney confirmed it.
@@422rds But didn't the Evil Queen magically 'transform' herself into the old woman that gave Snow White the apples? So by that logic Mother Gothel would be able to transform herself, but yeah it seems unlikely.
@@satishdange3849 That'd be the difference between an illusion and actually looking young. The Evil Queen can make herself appear young, but that doesn't mean the passage of time has no affect on her.
In Moana's post credit scene the big crab says "Can we be real, if my name was Sebastian and I had a cool Jamaican accent you would totally help me." Also when Maui finally get his magic hook back from the big crab one of the animals he turns in to is a fish that looks a lot like Flounder from The Little Mermaid and he also turns in to a reindeer that is absolutely Sven from Frozen. So I believe that all of the Disney moves are connected.
Has anyone noticed that for the Northuldra ceremony they stand in a pattern that closely resembles the spiral on the heart of te fiti? Or the fact that despite being more north than Arendelle they have a darker skin tone, one more akin to... moana’s?
Here's what I propose as the story of this "Disneyverse": Moana is the first movie in the timeline, and Moana, or one of her ancestors, finds the flower and thinks its a sign that they are meant to use the power to live on, and over time, more land forms and the island of ta fiti becomes Arendelle. Moana survives the entire time, each chief leaving the rocks that eventually form her tower, and Moana stays seperate from the people, fearing what her influence could do to them. Meanwhile, on her original island, tales have been passed down through the ages of a young chief with mastery over water, and they are able to, with that connection, make connections to the other spirits and master the elements, as we see with the northaldra people. Moana then panicks, as the flower that has allowed her to rise above all limitations, even time, gifted to her by te fiti, is plucked. She tries to avoid what happened with the heart and get it back but it is too late, but she realizes the flower is now in a baby. She then takes repunzel, out of wanting to avoid the same conflict that happened with the heart, and wanting to spare the people of the gods wrath. But, realizing she can't return the flower to its location, stays as close as possible, the tower she lives in, and keeping it there, fearing what might happen if the Gods find out about what she assumes would be treachery. Little does she know the Gods do not care about this flower, and in the end, the ways of the past are finished when Moana, out of the fear she gained of the Gods, ends up killed by it, and the seeming last trace, is lost forever, with the cutting of repunzel's hair. A few years later, Repunzel and her husband Eugene go to the coronation of the kingdom right across the way, wanting to suppor this other kingdom, and finds more magic is at play. The tales are passed down of magic, magic that could potentially do anything but the connection to it is lost through the years, only existing in the long dormant dragons, and as San Fransokyo forms, they learn to respect the dragons, for their mighty ability over the powers of nature, and some businesses want to tap into this magical energy as well. A young callahan finally does, but loses control of it, until Hiro learns how to control it, and decides its a technology only for emergency use. However, one day, one dragon decides to turn on the rest, and now a young dragon rider named Arya must rise up to the task... But when she fails, she must turn the local super hero group Big Hero 6. Hiro hears of the coming danger and sees it, and decides the only way to combat this new threat, is to go back in time to when magic was plentiful, and learn how to master it. Unfortunately, the evil Dragon follows. And ends up breaking the timeline, causing all time to go out of whack, and resulting in a world lost to time.. where now, a younger moana, Elsa, Anna, Arya, and big hero 6 team up, and try to stop the larger threat. But, when they still fail, Hiro tries to engineer a brand new hero. ONly to accidentally bring Ralph, and Penelope, to life, and with all their skills together, fight to save not just the world or universe, but all of time and space itself. and at the end, the heroes give each other heartfelt goodbyes, as they all return to their time and place. And the greatest sacrifice, was that none of them remember what happened, and Arya had to give her life as master of dragons, and the elements.
@@HridithSudev I mean, true. Its not impossible though, given Te Fiti is a living Goddess and if she wanted to she could just get up and walk over to the north sea and lay down again. Though I will admit it is unlikely.
at the end of lilo and stich, in the creddits, stich is taking a big leaf and helping a turtle to the water, just like moana did in the beginning of her movie
Okay so after watching this video I have come up with multiple ideas to what might fit this theory. One Tangled has a show as I am sure most of you are aware of and in this show they say that there is only one Sun Drop Flower and there is only one Moonstone. That said, I believe that the spot where we see that flower in Moana is not necessarily a different flower but the same one and on that spot is where it was in Tangled meaning that the island where Moana lives later becomes Corona or at least an area very near Corona. Two when Ben mentions the idea of Elsa having seen Baymax and believing him to be a snowman I couldn't help think that Disney could very likely pull off a scene where Hiro is practicing using time travel and misses up to the point where both he and Baymax goes too far into the past and happens to stumble on Elsa. And of course as we see in the video she could just believe that Baymax is a snowman. Finally relating to my last sentence, I would also like to bring up the cameo of Sven that we see in Moana when Maui is not able to use his fishhook correctly. I believe that happens for one reason. Sven somehow go stuck in Moana's time briefly. Moana's setting is primarily tropical not to say that the rest of the world doesn't exist but I believe that as Ben mentions Moana is in a time way before Frozen so it is highly unlikely that Maui traveled to Arendlle and saw him by chance. The argument against this is of course that maybe Maui saw a reindeer in his travels around the world but the reindeer in that cameo scene looks identical to Sven. I feel like I write too much sorry, but I felt the need to express these few ideas that came to me.
Yes I needed this right now, it's been a bad day and I need some SCB and Disney to make up for it, also I have my alarm set for the livestream, I set it as soon as I heard! 😁

IT CONNECTS TO THS PIXARVERSE! No, really! And it gives you a hint about when Moana happens. When she's a child and chosen by ocean, Crush is there! From Finding Nemo! Mind, blown.
Imagine when they're dubbing Raya to swedish and casting, and it goes like this (translated): Swedish producers: Hey, Morgan, what to play a role in the new Disney Movie? Morgan Alling (Swedish voice actor for Baymax): Sure, what's it about? Swedish Producers: It's about this girl and a dragon on an adventure. Morgan Alling: Ok Cool, so what part do I have? Swedish producers: A reprise role... as Baymax! Morgan Alling: But you said it's about a dragon... what connection does it have to BH6? Swedish producers: No Idea, but you just need to say "Skannar", and you're done. Morgan Alling: Ok... Swedish Producers: It's for the Post-Credits scene. Morgan Alling: oh that makes much more sense!
I know, realistically, that some of these "easter eggs" are just teams using already designed models to shortcut creating either environments or background characters, but it's fun to think "what if?"
Trafalgar D. Judge actually it’s the other way around, Disney owns all the characters that are in Kingdom Hearts. Square Enix needs permission to use the characters
I would love to see how you guy think Raya and Encanto fit into this "Disneyverse" theory! I love the idea of all the disney renaissance movies being in the same timeline. Also, it's not that far of stretch with the time travel thing now either because Encanto literally has a character whose power is time related. How much of a stretch is it to say that the Madrigals powers grew after Casita was rebuilt, resulting in a sort of "Gift upgrade" and Bruno's powers to see the future sort of grew to literally manipulate time itself?
most people "oh look Disney putting in their own Easter eggs again." Ben and J: "Guys! Guys! They are all connected!" Me: "Alright I am listening." Me: "Me at the end of the video... maybe. But maybe they are just putting Easter eggs again lol." Honestly, though this video was fun to watch. Ben gets so excited. Don't want to crush his dreams!

Except Disney actually told the opposite.
They literally creaated actual Disneyverse, via their Disney Channel series Sophia the First (also it doesn't include big part of the ones included... but is generally way more vast), and even confirmed, that pretty much every movie that isn't set on Earth is in the Everrealm (actual name of the world of Sophia the First, the name Disneyverse wasn't actually used for that. )

Man this theory u made was like 🤯
@@BK-wb9oq I wouldn't count on that island being Motunui for a few reasons.

Has anyone noticed that for the Northuldra ceremony they stand in a pattern that closely resembles the spiral on the heart of te fiti? Or the fact that despite being more north than Arendelle they have a darker skin tone, one more akin to... moana’s?
Omg my mind just exploded! 😁
Here's what I propose as the story of this "Disneyverse":
Moana is the first movie in the timeline, and Moana, or one of her ancestors, finds the flower and thinks its a sign that they are meant to use the power to live on, and over time, more land forms and the island of ta fiti becomes Arendelle.
That would be amazing!!!
The premise that Te Fiti becomes Arendelle falls apart because Te Fiti is in Polynesia and Arendelle is in the North Sea (Arctic Ocean)
Definitely crystal clear and not at all confusing.
@@HridithSudev I mean, true. Its not impossible though, given Te Fiti is a living Goddess and if she wanted to she could just get up and walk over to the north sea and lay down again. Though I will admit it is unlikely.

Oh my god, Disneyverse is connected to the MCU!! Oh my god.
@@ashgreninja7521 Is this sarcasm or genuine surprise? I actually cannot tell.

Don't forget House of Mouse
@@withlovejia_ it’s probably not, ya think is a pretty common phrase
Ben: There is no interconnected Disney universe
Once Upon a Time, Disney’s House of Mouse, Descendants Trilogy, that scene from Ralph Breaks the Internet: Am I a joke to you?
And Kingdom Hearts.
Adam M Descendants is horrible.
Pig Y Bakon I mean they’re literally kids movies, I doubt they were looking to make a cinematic masterpiece. And they weren’t even bad tbh.
IT CONNECTS TO THS PIXARVERSE!
No, really! And it gives you a hint about when Moana happens. When she's a child and chosen by ocean, Crush is there! From Finding Nemo!
Mind, blown.
Finding nemo is present day and Moana happens thousands or years ago
Those who have watched Sofia with your kids: Yeah, they're all connected.
ElizaDankert oh yea
And Elena of Avalor
Also an old TV show called House of Mouse I think . It has all characters from all of Disney. th-cam.com/video/h2VFKlip0b4/w-d-xo.html
True.
We did our homework... LOL
Imagine when they're dubbing Raya to swedish and casting, and it goes like this (translated):
Swedish producers: Hey, Morgan, what to play a role in the new Disney Movie?
0:03 I prefer the long version too, it just feels more scb
Rehksthemess I like the short one for J and the long one for Ben. If I heard J say the long one it would feel wrong
"We have Anna, Elsa, Moana, and Rapunzel. Who else?"
Me, an intellectual:
Well, Cassandra, Eugene, Varian, possibly Lance, Shorty...
may i go on?
YES YOU MAY! 😂
I love Tangled the Series 😭💕
Yesssss, get the tv show characters in there too
YES! TANGLED THE SERIESSS
I see what you did there like you had nothing left to lose because you were ready as you'll ever be.
"Wreck-It Ralph 2 was them testing the waters for this." Good thing the princesses were some of the only good things about that movie, then.
So... we’re not talking about Tangled: the series.?.?. I mean, there’s plenty of information there.
You have a point there! 🧐
I've never gotten to watch the series, would anyone be willing to fill me in on anything from there that supports/disproves the theory?
I know, realistically, that some of these "easter eggs" are just teams using already designed models to shortcut creating either environments or background characters, but it's fun to think "what if?"
That’s why I love theories.
The editor's right - Disney should just make a Kingdom Hearts movie if they want a Disneyverse 😂 It's already all right there.
Scott probably, he has reliably good taste
I'd watch that!
This video can be 4 words long.
"Hey Brotheeerrr...
... Kingdom Hearts"
Actually, they'd have to get Square Enix to agree
My mom, the geologist: Are they bad talking geology?
Me: uh, no
most people "oh look Disney putting in their own Easter eggs again."
Ben and J: "Guys! Guys! They are all connected!"
Me: "Alright I am listening."
Me: "Me at the end of the video... maybe. But maybe they are just putting Easter eggs again lol."
Honestly, though this video was fun to watch. Ben gets so excited. Don't want to crush his dreams!
"I want to talk to you about the Disney princess initiative"
Disney princesses, assemble
13:26
Person who works for Disney: hey guys listen to this
Disney: That would be cool but image all the wierd new ships :O
*reads title*
"They're about to get me hooked on another theory that's never gonna be confirmed and I'm never gonna be able to forget about it."
