If they hardened that motor to run the additional rev's it would be off the chart. Sorry but I believe that the Speciale would have an insurmountable lead in 90% of the smackdowns and the only time the V4R will be able to skywalk is in the VERY VERY top end runs. THe Speciale has 15-20 hp advantage for 85-90% of the meat of the rev range!! Thats INSANE!!! In a straight line the Speciale is gonna kill it, but on a track where you can stay in that gear and stay on the power without shifting would make the V4R superior as the track isnt all about acceleration, its about maintaining speed and maintaining momentum. Great video IB!!! THanks for sharing!!!

The Best way to Compare Hp maps by the two engines is to use percent of peak engine speed. Hence, both Hp maps will end at the same place and thus give a better comparison between the two. Torque, however is a little different. Since a Higher revving engine can be geared lower to reach the same speed, torque can be increased by gearing. Again, if both engine torque maps are done by percent engine max speed instead of rpm, then the higher revving engine's torque should be increased by multiplying percent increase of lower revving engine. Example: if one engine revs 20% higher than the other engine, than its entire torque range should be multiplied by 1.2... comparing engines by revs alone, is like comparing apples and oranges... Don't you think there will be an impact on the power gain in the future or even a loss of power by pushing the engine speed so early in the mileage? Thank you for your answer and we look forward to seeing you there. Sincerely, Jean France

dyno measures hp at the wheels while comapany advertises hp produced at the engine, of course engine hp is more than wheel hp because there is transmission loss so 204 hp at wheel assuming 15% loss equates to 240hp at the engine
Expat on Two Wheels there’s a 20hp difference around 10k rpm. Not at the top end. So the speciale has more midrange power. The R has more top end power
Bit worried how little power it is making compared to the claimed power. Lots of money for a bike that ends up being marginally more powerful than it's cheaper sibling

Good luck on Brenttuning. I been calling them on the V4 for a year now & there not progression at all. They blow you off & basically say when we get around to it we will do it. Well when. WE DON'T KNOW WHEN !!!~! WTF @@650ib
Ronald Davis just so you know, the tune is out now for the V4 from BrenTuning. They also were getting beta testers over a month ago.
Ronald Davis don’t know who you spoke with there but the info has been updated on the site about the release multiple times over the past few months
awesome bikes... 3 years on when we upgrading cameras from grainy?
Now we should wait for the new bmw s1000rr to do a dyno test
Coming in June
I love 💘 those revs
Does someone know the price difference between the speciale and the V4R..thank you I'll listen on the radio.
Hi there, here in France as an example the V4 R and Speciale cost the same 40K€ but the V4R doesnt have the full race exhaust wich cost 5K€ more.... i imagine that in US its the same but in $
40K€ each bike in Europe
4000 euro magnesium wheel options on the speciale in Germany
Lol..Tune that Bike 650 !! Unleash that wild for the world to behold ! :
When It's All Said And Done...The Better Rider Will Win The Smackdown!
Agreed
Need more horses. Let's see the shootout with the 2019 H2R
Coming soon!
where's the full dyno shoot out ?
Nice video!
Thank you ❤️
Oh man!!! What a beast it is.....it's a shark with wings and gills
Didn't you install the dry clutch cover like the ones advertised by Ducati?
wait wait wait... last time you had the speciale on the dyno it made 198, 199hp. why is it lower now?
Different environmental factors mon Ami..
Hello,
You have a great Ducati, so you showed us that your V4R has 200 miles on the clock during the test. What do you think of the engine running-in? Don't you think there will be an impact on the power gain in the future or even a loss of power by pushing the engine speed so early in the mileage?
Thank you for your answer and we look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Jean

Hi Jean... I think the V4R will make more power as it gets broken in. We will put it on the dyno soon and find out.
It’s all myth , watch this well done study on it th-cam.com/video/xpoglovyy_8/w-d-xo.html
Is this nick Marino from xplanertuning?
Yup ❤️
Next video: 650ib going for phone shopping, Smartphone benchmark shootout "which one is faster"
But that SOUND though 👀👍
I don’t like the shark-vin Front of the fearing, but that is my personal taste! Besides that its a sick bike!
Which one is bigger from the look? V4R or Speciale??
So will you both re-tune and re do it ?
When are you getting yours tunned Ib?
Torque is everything, the 1100 is faster all the way untill the last 1000 rpm, right? I prefer the 1100..
I could not believe how fast and powerful the V4-S is....amazing..and I never even got close to the redline...it just revved and revved..it's astonishing...I wonder how well the engine will hold up over many thousands of miles w/o grenading like the Desmosedici RR did ..quite often I should add...to the point where Ducati reps would tell owners to get their Demsosedicis balanced and blueprinted due to sloppy tolerances
@@jeffmays5393 Yes, is incredible how much power, not only this, almost all newer 1000rr bikes have (sadly Honda is not in the list) Even Suzuki have the gsxr 1000 RR Ryuyo with 210 hp on a 1000 inline 4. Aprillia V4 1100...too much for me, I still find difficult to handle the 165 rwhp of my Gixxer K6!!
Ducati panigale v4r vs Ducati panigale 1299 r final edition which one is better to buy
Please reply
Can you afford either of them?
v4 speciale
I love V4.... 🏍🏍
Hmm where have I seen these curves before? Someone did a V4R slower than V4 video.....who was that lol?! Waiting for Steve to bring you a whoopin. I think we need to wager a snickers.
You'll never 👀 me and Steve racing but keep withing upon a 💫 I'm glad you're enjoying the 🎥's
@@650ib Why not ? Because of The weight difference ?
Why V4R is showing traction error???
Only when it's on the dyno
@@650ib oohh okay ....👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What did 1199 make and how much did the r3 gain?
1199R produced 186HP and we didn't have time to tune the R3. We will tune it another day.
Akra the 1199r !! massive difference, like 15 in the mid where the hole is and 5-6 on top...and 11.6lb lighter @@650ib
Was amazing to see!
Glad to meet you too!
Peep me in the window! Lmao
Nice to meet you too Joe ✔️
Time to lean your v4r a little bit, there's some serious chicken strips on those tires!!
Sir can I ask you a question. Why does your v4 r hasn' t more than 210 hp. I think that the developers told us that it makes more than 210 hp. I hope they didn' t lied to us. I don't know much about the mechanic but maybe someone could explain it to me😀
dyno measures hp at the wheels while comapany advertises hp produced at the engine, of course engine hp is more than wheel hp because there is transmission loss so 204 hp at wheel assuming 15% loss equates to 240hp at the engine
210hp only to the wheels
Ok thx I didn' t know that. That is one very powerful bike there.
if he ran it in 6th it would rev out farther thus making more power ,with a tune the R could possibly turn 17k+
Did he say there's a 20 how difference? 203-194 is 9 hp. Am I missing something?
Expat on Two Wheels there’s a 20hp difference around 10k rpm. Not at the top end. So the speciale has more midrange power. The R has more top end power
Whats the afr on the V4R?
DTC ERROR!
??
:-/
Bit worried how little power it is making compared to the claimed power. Lots of money for a bike that ends up being marginally more powerful than it's cheaper sibling
Claimed power by the manufacture is always bhp. Dynos are reading whp.
@@Snakes709 Yeah but the v4r is supposed to be much more powerful than the speciale and it isn't by far
@@adamhallwood5768 bro it is , 10 horspower more ...
V4 speciale or v4r? Best hp?
V4R is the better bike.
@@650ib ok thx. 1 ask. But original how hp on the dyno? V4r
@@650ib With original muffler how hp on dyno?
