I think some people forget this is blitz chess. He had around 15s left on his own clock and is making decisions a lot faster than the video shows, so sometimes he makes plays he thinks are smart (because they kind of are) but accidentally ruin the video's rules. Though I agree sometimes he definitely does certain moves for comedy.
@@bMeercat11 The opponent had limited time and sometimes such moves make them panic and run out of time. Also because it's funny and because he is not a coward
The challenge says piece, not enemy piece. So it’s basically saying nothing can be taken at all, because otherwise there will always be a piece on the board that has previously captured.
Well, originally, it says pieces, not pawns. So the cycle of violence can end once a wanted piece is taken by a pawn. I think that version of the challenge might actually have been more interesting.
This challenge as written is technically only winnable if no captures occur. The first capture sets off a unending chain of violence that must be done before then end of the game. A captures. So A must be captured (say by B), so B must be captured by C, and then C by D, and so on. Perhaps the challenge meant only opponent's pieces that captured (the bad guys) and must then be captured (arrested) by Simp (as Simp reinterpreted it).
This challenge as it's written is impossible if any piece is captured. It doesn't specify that when a piece captures a violent piece, it doesn't become violent itself, so once the first capture is made it's impossible to reduce the number of violent pieces below 1.
Very simple textbook mate in 3 that doesn’t blunder the video were missed. At 5:48 just play Qf3+ g3+ and either hxg3# with a double check or Ng4# with a backward knight move.
Easy way to win this challenge: get to the endgame quickly and leave the opponent with just the king. You MUST avoid thr opponent king capturing anything, as that is the only way you can lose. Or you just interpret a checkmate as a king capture, and this challange is so easy
Sooooo, according to the rules, this challenge is impossible unless no piece ever captures. It doesn't say that he has to retake the _opponents_ pieces that capture. It says, "if a piece commits violence." That means that Simp's pieces also must be captured before winning is allowed. That said, I agree with the interpretation that it's only the opponent's pieces that need to be captured.
I like how accurate this challenge is. When the cops, white, take a piece it's a "capture" but when the black pieces do it, it's "committing violence".
The challenge as written doesn’t specify that it applies to only your opponent’s pieces, so it’s actually impossible once any capture is made because there will always be the surviving piece that committed the last violence. Revenge begets revenge? I guess it’s okay that only for the challenge to work, the cops are not held accountable for their own violence… waaaait hold up
I thought the same, but needing the 100-rated opponent to make specific moves like capturing your own wanted pieces makes for bad challenges. Plus, knowing Simp, he’d make it impossible by interpreting capturing a wanted piece as “violence” so there would always be a wanted piece on the board once any capture was made.
Your Asian brain has already forgotten some stuff in the videos that came out like 2 years ago. My Asian brain did not forget that. Awesome video anyway!
Wait, when you include pawns and opponents pieces, the challenge becomes no captures at all since the piece that captures a wanted target should actually become a wanted target
5:46 "Ahaa, I think I found... etc etc" Oh yeah, of course Simp. You found a way to trigger to boost the comment section to increase your channel engagement again. Such a brilliant idea indeed
That was a much better way to end the video than completing the challenge, good stuff. PS: ain't no way he playing cops with white pieces against black ones 💀💀
Absolutely trying to lose at the end. Goes for a move that will probably end the video instead of Qf3 Qh3 or Qf3 Bg5, both mate in 2 with no possible captures.
Opponent has 5 seconds on the clock before he lost. Simp it doesn't make sense to play a regular move and wait for the opponent clock to run out, so let's give a check to the king with a pawn and the opponent won't take it because there is a check mate that every 100 rated chess will see it.

That 100 rated player obviously saw a mate in 11 a few moves earlier, ofc he should be able to see a simple mate in 4. /s
5:48 the best part is there's just Qf3-Qh3#

Ah, I saw Qf3+ g3+ (hxg3++# or Ng5#) instead. Not playing Qf3 is kind of insane tho. That move sticks out like a sore thumb.
Qf3+ Kh4 g3 was a more obvious forced set of moves with no risk and multiple mates. If Kh3, Ng5#, and if Bxg3, hxg3#.
