I would have liked you try still in the end. If you remove the pawns from the f file, Rf1 is mate and what a beautiful mate. Every single unmoveable piece of yours is involved.
Chess, but your pieces/pawns lack confidence. You can move one of them only if it starts adjacent (orthogonally or diagonally) to another of your pieces/pawns
Ending move looks like it was Checkmate.
The amount of people in the comments who seemingly added in another line to the rules about being able to recall pieces to re-launch them is concerning lol.

You forgot you can reload the queen
Reposition on your home rank before firing = move it to a different position on the home rank as long as it hasn't been fired. It does not mean he can reload them.

@@Knoten385 Judging by other comment multiple people seem to have misread it as allowing reloads by returning to the base line. I assume tomasocarbone thought the same.
why not just follow the rules and bring your pieces back to their original squares and use them again? that's the whole point of the challenge.
He followed the rules exactly. Reposition != reload. Challenge writer clarified you can only fire once.

Honestly, I'd love the eval bar to just be there from now on. I feel like it can make for great bits of passive comedy every time there's a enemy blunder, or a misplay forced by the challenged.

planning to move the rook at 3:34 is shocking. You could take the pawn with your knight as soon as the queen takes your bishop and attack the queen with check
I immediately clocked that. At first when he mentioned taking the bishop I was like “Oh smart, then you can royal fork!” and then he said the most deranged plan that’s worse than taking the fork and probably lost him the game because he could’ve kept his queen active.
It would also have kept his knight alive, which he needed because of the challenge.
Well, the queen didn't take the bishop in the end anyways. But he really should have kept his knight, he got impatient there ig.

It was pretty unwinnable at that point. He needed to treat his knights like the King. Losing them lost the game. The King too could have become more active. It was a good chance for the bong cloud maybe.

Your king was actually also extempt from the rules. You could've used your king to capture as many pieces and pawns as you could, then promote your own pawns.

100 rated chess, but you're secretly in love with your opponent queen and therefore you cannot take her with a piece or a pawn.
In case you take it with your King, you would have to let your opponent promote a Queen, to fall in love again.
I consider that a win because theoretically you just used the rook below the queen as a booster to thrust the queen's corpse up there. This is fine

I thought the challenge meant your Rooks and Queen could be fired again after resetting on your home rank? Or did I misunderstand the challenge?

Towards the end he could of done a three move rook lift (using the left rook) to deliver checkmate using all of his pieces.
