Slash and Scoonie Gee do Whole Lotta Love at soundcheck for Willie Basse Celebration Of Life Concert

In honor of Sunset Strip Pioneer and Legend Willie Basse, bassist and singer for the metal band Black Sheep, his former bandmate Slash showed up to pay his respects to this larger than life Artist and his friend, our friend Willie. Willie and I too were in a band together in 2003 so it was only fitting that we share the stage in his honor on a song he loved. The evening was filled with music and stories from family, friends and loved ones and special musical performances from a host of Stars paying their respects. It was a dream come true for me to sing along side Slash and actually connect with him through the music!
This was the soundcheck for a handful of people there getting set up for the event. For me, it was magical and more relaxed than the show performance later, but both were surreal!
