I dont know why the quality of the video drops from the point of recording, to rendering to uploading, but if this was in game it would look amazing!

Didn't render the video in your editing software at the same bit-rate that shadow-play recorded at. This issue plagued me for the longest time until i figured it out.

I discovered after downloading the free version of Doom, yes the one with just the first level, that I can play the game with the default XPS 8700 video card but I'm sure it would look much nicer with the GTX 1070. Thanks!

aye the video quality at some point in rendering and uploading to youtube suffered, but it looks stunning with the 1070

Hey thanks a ton for this video. 8700 i7 4790(non K). Think I would be safe with the GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming card snice the Founders works. Power supply was upgraded to Antec EA 650w

did you need to upgrade your BIOS before installing the video card?

Thanks for this video and for the one with the instillation of the 1070 into your Dell. I too have the XPS 8700, but I have a i5 - 4440 @ 3.10 GHz, is that fine? Do I need to upgrade? Also, and sorry for so many questions, I only have 12 GB of memory. Was going to upgrade to 16, but will this take 32? I thought the limit was 16? And I upgraded my power supply to 600 watts already.

Hi, Thank you for posting this video!
I have a Dell XPS 8700 I7-4770 3.4 GHz, 24 GB RAM with stock GPU (GTX 660) and stock PSU (470 watts?).
Would you still say you're confident you don't need to upgrade the PSU as long as you don't alter anything else?

A 970 can run on that PSU. The 1070 has lower total system draw than a 970. With that said, just upgrade the PSU man. Even something 50 bucks is better than OEM. www.bestbuy.com/site/thermaltake-tr2-600nl2nc-atx12v-eps12v-power-supply-black/5381884.p?id=1218635882854&skuId=5381884

Got any temperature stats? That's the only thing I'm afraid of. I also have an ethernet card plugged in as the one on the motherboard died and want to get an SSD into the system. Will the 1070 still fit and does it get in the way of the hard drive bays?

About 60c in temps with evga precission monitering system, where can also mess with the fan in order to help control temps. The 1070 will get in and the drive bays are not an issue. I put a 6tb drive in next to the 1tb and they sit just above the card.
The ethernet card might be an issue since there is not a lot of space for the card and fans, if you can install the ethernet card at the bottom most pcix4 slot? then it might be doable
