  • I play 1940's Slingerland 'Radio Kings' with my Swing Orchestra and I love 'em. They are to me the iconic sound of Swing Drumming and of course these drums were pioneered by Gene Krupa and the Slingerland Dum Company way back in 1936.
They still sound great to me today and this set at Northup Drums is no exception. However this kit has all original calf skins and in this small studio set up it may sound a little dry but take them out on a gig and boy they will Sing, Sing, Sing!
As I was having my short blast on this 1951 set I remember having 'Leave Us Leap' in mind just in case you should spot a any phrases?
I hope you enjoy it anyway and please remember to like and subscribe.
