- Welcome back to my channel! In this series of videos, I'm showing you around various parts of Royal Caribbean's HUGE Symphony of the Seas.
One thing's true - Symphony is one of the largest cruise ships on the planet (or the waves...!), and she certainly delivers from a 'dining offering' point of view. Onboard, you're going to find TEN additional charge restaurants on offer (11 if you include Starbucks, but I haven't as it's more of a cafe...).
In total, you'll find (in addition to the complimentary Main Dining Room): Chops Grille, Jamie's Italian, Wonderland, Izumi, 150 Central Park, Hooked Seafood, Vintages Wine Bar, the Solarium Bistro, Playmakers and Johnny Rockets.
In my last video, we enjoyed a dinner at Wonderland, and I've also taken you to a meal at Jamie's to show you that, so today let me take you into Chops Grille - the onboard steakhouse. Now, if I'm being perfect honest, I tend to avoid steakhouses to a degree on cruise ships - I often find that they're all the same, and quite over-priced, so I was really interested to know if I'd actually enjoy this experience, or wish I'd kept my money.
I paid for this meal using one of Royal Caribbean's dining packages, which I ordered online prior to the cruise. This can be purchased via your Royal Caribbean login, and can be ordered right up until a few days before your sailing date!
So, is it any good, or would I prefer to just go to the Main Dining Room instead? Let's find out!

Central Park is always a ghost town in the evening. I loved going to the Wine Bar as it was usually empty. Last time I ate there it was $25 and I thought it was a stretch at that.
Yeah, I love Central Park and never h detest and why it’s so quiet. I guess people on these ships want to be more ‘active’ all the time, and the entertainment out here is a bit more ‘calm and refined’ with the jazz band etc?
The first time I ate at Chops it was $25 way back in 2018.

Glad U enjoyed Chops. Yes, $ comparable to land and daunting with so many other choices😀. Central Park looked beautiful. Btw, not to be a steak snob, but in our parts of Central California, if you have to put Garvey on your steak. It ain’t done right😀. Red Oak wood on a open grill with seasoning only (salt pepper & garlic)

i do worry about the amount of water and resources needed to sustain something like central park on a ship like that. it does feel wasteful and a bit superfluous
I do completely understand this viewpoint - I couldn’t help but think the same on our warmer days - it’s so tropical down there and must take so much!
It’s such a beautiful space though!
