    Thank you for sharing the information. We have not ever purchased extra dining or drinking packages and we are always stuffed and satisfied

      Thank you so much for watching!
      We’ve had plenty of cruises that ate and enjoyed waaaay too much food that we never thought about any dining packages. Nicole loves her coffee though so we’ll always need that refreshment package for drinks. :)

    I don’t get why people are so obsessed with the drinking packages. Some of the cruises are now $100 a day for the deluxe drink package. That is a lot of extra drink to make that back. I understand the security it gives you knowing you wont have a bill but as an example I just got off a 7 day cruise. The drink package would have cost $1440 for the two of us for the week. We only spent $420 in total, that included $60 casino losses and $130 in spa treatments. So we spent about $200 on alcohol. I do usually find the soda package worthwhile because drinking 3 a day is really not difficult for me. I realize everyone is different but I can’t imagine spending $100 a day on alcohol

      On our next cruise, the deluxe beverage package is about $74 per person per day and there’s no way Nicole and myself could ever drink 4 alcoholic drinks each per day to make it worth it. So if we decide to indulge we just pay whatever the price is for a random drink or two. Some folks will drink their share and it makes it worth it to them, some were told to buy the drink packages cause that’s what you do on a cruise, some do it cause they don’t want to worry about being able to try different things. We always suggest doing the math and seeing if it make sense for you to upgrade.
      Royal used to do an alcoholic drink card. You got 10 punches on the card for once price. We did this on Oasis of the Seas in 2019 and if they brought that back we would do that over a deluxe drink package

      @@letsgetwanderlost yeah it’s very much dependent on your habits whether it’s worth it or not. As I drink beer and hardly ever have a cocktail it’s hard for me to get my moneys worth even at $8.85 a beer! I would have to drink about 10 beers and 4 sodas, every single day. We have had the package before but that’s when we only paid $46 a day.

      Agree 100%. Given the tremendous mark up on drinks, and the tremendous benefit to RC for getting this package money up front, it’s a mystery why the alcohol package is so high.

    What’s the most efficient fastest way to reserve the restaurant right when I board ? Where should I go ? Because we want tappenyaki 2 times and 2 times chops then sprinkle the rest in between. What’s the fastest way?

      Connect to WiFi and use the app to click on the restaurants you want or find the closest speciality restaurant to when you get on board.
      We used app to book all of ours and the random one that wouldn’t let us we called the reservations line on the in-room phone

    Hi great video! Do you know if non-alcohol beer is included in the refreshment package?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  ปีที่แล้ว

      Non-alcoholic beer is not included in the refreshment package. Even though it’s non-alcoholic, Royal considers it a beer and you’ll have to buy it by the bottle or have the deluxe beverage package.

    What are you thoughts of buying drinks ala carte? My family and myself do not drink alcohol or pop. All 4 of us have $120 worth of OBC for each person and we plan to use this on drinks. We have also bought two 12 packs of water bottles to our staterooms, we are relying on complimentary drinks. Do you think this is a good idea?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don’t drink alcohol or soda then you can probably expect to spend between $5-$8 on each specialty coffee, juice, etc. $120 per person should be plenty to cover a morning coffee and the occasional extra drink, but I would say that if you plan to have 3 or 4 of these drinks a day I would recommend spending the extra couple of dollars for the refreshment package. However if you are satisfied with mostly water, lemonade, or something similar throughout the day then you should be fine going a’ la carte! Hopefully this helps, and you have a great cruise!

      @@letsgetwanderlost Perfect! I forgot to mention I also bought the coffee card as well to purchase iced coffee drinks and the card can be shared amongst the 4 of us, so we're good to go! Thanks for your response, this is my first cruise and I hope it will be fun for us 😊

    Is there sweet tea?

    • @letsgetwanderlost
      @letsgetwanderlost  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is iced tea, it is unsweetened and they have packets of sugar/Splenda/etc available.
      If they had sweetened tea, I’d imagine it wouldn’t be as good as southern sweet tea anyways.
      The only sweetened tea that I know of on board is in the coke free style machines
