My DNA test literally says I come from Niall its so nice to be able to learn about my heritage. Much love from Mexico and America
then we are related
@@ruthmaynard1479 then I will fight for our ancestors and honor
We too lol
@@RobZavAguilera23 orale somos mas gabachos e indigenous que negros pero tantos Latinos se creen mayates tenemos que conocer nuestro pasado Saludos!

I am Italian and also am a descendant of Niall. I am amazed
Read about the Flight of the Earls, that might explain how they got to Italy.
Known to generations of Dublin schoolkids as Niall of the Nine Sausages. In my 4th class (= 6th grade to Americans) we could relate to this ancestral character because among us we had some of our own surreptitious sausage-takers, one of whom turned out to be an endlessly hungry kid called Niall. While all else that we learned about our early history fades from memory, some things stick.
That's a new one for me. Thanks for sharing
Lol I'm an O'Neil and I love food. Seems legitimate! :D
Thank you. Can always count on you for wonderful narration of great history
Hello Cousins from South Texas! Our Ancestor sure did get around!
My parents are from The Dominican Republic and this king ended up sharing a paternal-line ancestor with Niall of the Nine Hostages.
Me too strange right ?
Me to lol
A good presentation!
I'm an O'Quinlan, and decend from Leary, one of Niall's son's at Tara, County 🇨🇦🇮🇪☘️Meath
GOOD ONE , KEEP IT UP.
Brilliant content 👌
I am an O’Neill ! Thanks for the video
hmm, your people slaughtered and over throw my people from the thrown.... their own cousins. O'Neills team up with O'Donnels against McLaughlins.
So interesting! My family name is Neel. Heritage is Irish 🙂
Someone: What are you doing?
Me: Oh you know, just reading up on my ancient grandfather and popping off in the comments with my cousins, you know how it is.
My paternal hoplogroup comes from this Kingly man. Always wondered where my last name Nelson came from. Kinda nice to know I still bare some remnants of his name.
Me too
Nelson is frequently a Scandinavian surname (alternate spellings: Neilson, Nelsen, Nielsen). “Son of Neil”. My great great grandfather was from Denmark and has that surname.
@@brawndothethirstmutilator9848Yes. But same line still. Remember Niall was Norwegian and irish. The name comes from Norway. I also have a ancestor called Njal from the Burnt Njal saga in Iceland. They are all the of the same blood line.
I guess we’re all here because we’re descendants of Niall lol
Yep

Any Irvines in here?
Descendant of William De Irwyn of Clan Irwine, the 1st Laird of Drum, as well as Niall supposedly.
O' Flaherty, LAVERTY, (O'FLAHEARTEIGH CLAN) as well from the CONN branch, connected to Niall of the Nine Hostages.. O'Flaherty's own a castle in Connacht..Auchnanere Castle..
You should add some context to the video as text like
Niall "Noígíallach", or in English, Niall of the Nine Hostages, was a legendary High King of Ireland and the ancestor of the Uí Néill dynasties that dominated the northern half of Ireland from the 6th to the 10th centuries.
Died: 405 AD
i makes it easier for others to embed on the Vlogs
just a suggestion..
Excellent. Could you do a similar video on Diarmuid Mcmorrough and his family?
He is my Ancestor
Awesome! I have heard of this fella. All the way from Australia. We figured our surname Neal was Irish descendent.
I am an O’Neill, moved to Oz from Ireland a good while ago . I’ve met a few Aussie born O’Neills
Ahhh if only other Niall's such as I existed....
Can I get a transcript of this video?
Have you heard of the e-book “the tribe within”??? DNA matches archaeological tecords
I am from the tribe of Ragbheartach...😊
as many before, I found myself as another son of king Niall and it led me here
I come from Niall
Interesting, I'm an O'Neill born in Liverpool early 60s but raised in Australia. Maybe I'll do this DNA test. I was going through my fathers possessions which I inherited after he passed quite awhile back and I found a plague which has the O'Neill name, with a fish at the bottom, also what looks like 2 red lion type of animals with a red hand in between both and 3 star shapes above. Great clip very interesting thankyou for taking the effort to make and upload
😊
I am O’Neill from Ireland living in Australia . The fish on the O’Neill coat of arms represents Christ .The motto Laimhe dearg Abu is Irish for the red hand of victory. On ya mate.
I'm here for my genetic ancestor history lesson 😊 now I know why I saw druid rune spirals all over me after having mushrooms
My paternal haplogroup connects me to a common ancestor linked to him… my paternal side is Puerto Rican
American 🇺🇸 Puerto Rican with Iberian (Sephardic) and Gaul ancestry. Greetings🙏🏽
WOW.. I guess we are family. I'm also a descendent.. this is interesting.
Niall must if had a concubine in every part of Ireland.
I'm a freakin princess 😂😂😂 My Dads DNA test proved it. Thanks Grandpa Niall!
Howdy cousin!
My paternal DNA comes from this clan~ R-L20
Surname (James)

The McNeill clan from Scotland are descended from Vikings not from Ireland as once thought, 2015 DNA survey.
That's right and Vikings we are...
Many of the northern Irish were Vikings.

When I learned of my relation to Niall a red mark appeared on my right hand a red 0. I tried to wipe it away and it became a smiley face and then nothing. Pretty cool
for the algorithm
It shows I’m a ancestor on 23andme
I’m an O’Donnell and a descendant of Niall.
so your people teamed up with my cousins the O'Neills to kill my ancestors and take our thrown in Ulster (Inishowen, Derry, Meath, Tyrone). The McLaughlins & McLoughlins. I hope your people got info so I can answers for my ancestors why they did that.
A decendent here. 73% Irish.
Also a decedent! I’m indigenous American
Apparently I'm somewhat of a descendent of his but so are alot of other people.
23andme says Im his descendant
According to a DNA test, I am one of Niall's descendants, and I wasn't sure of my Irish heritage until after I got my results.
Last name Avrett, my family is horrible at keeping records so everything on my report was an interesting surprise lol
So here I am trying to learn about Niall
I just learned that I am a descendant of Niall.
My last name is O’Pry and it says I share a paternal line with Niall
I am definitely related from him
How many tests did you take? Why would you trust the 1st results? I am curious why people trust these tests?
Why is it always a well known historical figure we are always descendents of and not just Paddy down the road?

This king seem to have gotten around I also have it in my DNA, printed off my direct descendent certificate and have it hanging on the wall.
Well it's a good thing I'm back, if only I had as many friends as this Niall. Could do without the whole poison and jealousy affairs but I won't complain... Hahaha
I took a 23 and me test and coke to find out I have royal blood. It brought me here.
I'm a campbell direct descendant of this guy
Campbells were literal neighbours of the Lachlan/MacLachlan's who left Ireland to settle in Scotland at Loch Fyne.
@@mrbabyhugh I read up some on that also. Cool shit though for real
I’m told DNA don’t lie. 🌞
Paternal haplogroup R-CTS241 here
I did a DNA test and it shows I have no Irish in me yet I am related to the Ui Niall dynasty
Remember when there was all those articles claiming M222 'came from' Niall? That was pure sloppiness and ignorance. He may have possessed it but he is not ancestral to it, M222 is like 4,000 years old. How they could prove what Niall's genetic signature is, is by getting a large group of testers who have surnames which are purported to descend from different sons of Niall and find their common mutation (terminal SNP). It would be even better if they could get people purported to be descended from Niall's own ancestors and find links there to clarify the tree. This is perfectly possible as we have very specific assignments of ancient genealogical figures in Dalcassian and Eoghanacht projects on Familytreedna (going back to 200AD). The "O'Neill" family which became powerful in Ulster post the Norman invasion are descended from the shadowy Áed in Macáem Tóinlesc and likely usurped the name for political purposes, having no genuine genealogical connection to the ancient Uí Neill and DNA shows this. If there's anyone out there doing genuine technical analysis of the Uí Neill pedigrees and trying to develop congruence with the genetic tree I would be highly interested. I haven't seen it yet though.
My DNA test said the same lol. Must be alot of us
A German lineage tried to erase and remove me from my heritage and my family. I am proud to say I am Uí Néill
I got his dna
Not one of his descendents, but made it into the story anyway.
Lol I'm Jamaican and black as fizzuck 23 and me says I'm related 😅
We are all brothers 🍻
Irish Slaves were sent to Jamaica and West Indies during the 1600s by the evil Oliver Cromwell
i have his haplogroup and im not even irish at all only british and germanic

I am a descendent.
A huge percentage of Irish people are, apparently.
@@BrehonAcademy well I'm also Puerto Rican
I'm from Clan MacNeil of Barra direct descendant.
Hasn't DNA testing cast doubt on the relationship of the Southern to the Northern Ui Neill?
The OpenAI chatbot isn’t too good with Irish surnames:
Tell me everything you know about Niall Noígíallach:
I'm sorry, but I do not have any information about a person named Niall Noígíallach. It is possible that you have misspelled the name or that this person is not widely known or significant enough to be mentioned in the sources of information that I have been trained on.

Tell me everything you know about Niall of the Nine Hostages:
Niall of the Nine Hostages was a legendary Irish king who is said to have ruled in the 4th or 5th century. According to tradition, Niall was the son of Eochaid Mugmedón, a previous king of Ireland, and was known for his military prowess and his ability to conquer territory. He is also said to have had several wives and many children, and his descendants became known as the Uí Néill dynasty, which dominated Irish politics for several centuries.
Niall's legend is intertwined with the history of Ireland, and he is revered as a national hero in the country. However, it is important to note that the stories about him are largely mythological and may not be historically accurate. Many of the details about his life and accomplishments are found in Irish folklore and legendary accounts, rather than in reliable historical sources.

I'm related , he is real
It's the bloodline
My family are direct descendants of Niall, and his second wife Cairenn Chasdub, daughter of Sachell Balb, King of the Saxons,. the King of Britain.
Ok so heres the deal:
If you have the Audacity to allege that a historical Irish King (who died before 460 AD) is Mythical, then I will go ahead and say that every other single “historical character” before him is in fact mythical; including St Patrick, Ceasar Augustus, The Jade Emperor, Jesus, Moses and Brutus, et tu Brutus?
Grandfather!
He has taken women or men hostage?
Ahhh if only other Niall's such as I existed....
