Hey Jason I just watched ur video it was really cool. So I just wanna clarify something.Ive been practising this flick for about 2hours straight and I’m wondering if my small fingers could be a problem cuz I’m just a kid. Appreciate if u could reply hehe
It's all about muscle memory and practice also, if your having problems with cards going towards your face try moving your fingers in different positions and just experiment around. It worked for me now I am so skilled off just non-stop practicing I can shoot cards like a wizard and even make them deadly by shooting them at people's faces lol (which I shouldn't)
If you guys still need help make sure your thumb is holding the bottom of the top card and you have the cards angled almost straight up and down if they are horizontal the card will shoot back at yoy
hmmmm... maybe you need to release more tension from your finger holding the card? Try experimenting with changing different small things about the position of your hand and fingers. Also if you can provide me more details of what is going wrong I am happy to try and help :)
Same here the main problem is when i hold the deck my middle finger blocks the card from flinging upwards and if i try to fix it the whole deck of cards just falls from my hand
Did this as a desperate cry for attention. Had someone approach me and we started talking about cardistry and magic. I was invited to meet some other people and now I found friends. 10/10 reccomend
My index finger has a cramp from sitting in the back of a coffee shop all day practicing 🤣🤣 On a serious note I like your style of tutorial. I’m a bit older than most so being more descriptive like you are is helpful for me. I will be working on this trick for awhile, but can’t wait to use it, thanks!

Really enjoyed the video! The tutorial was great and simple along with the humor. I also enjoyed the demonstration and only have one critique. You’ve probably already fixed this, but when you get close up to the cards and your hands during the bending mechanic I can see the bottom half of your face talking into the camera. I assume you were making sure the camera was correctly catching the right angle and all the necessary elements that you wanted to show which is totally awesome! A newbie like me would like to see as much of the cards as possible so perhaps try standing behind the camera and have your hands in front of the camera so that way we can get a much bigger focus on the cards while you get to see what’s going on! Again, awesome video and loved the demonstration. You don’t have to change the camera work if you don’t want to as it’s honestly not that big of a deal.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the humor and it was useful as well. So when I was showing my face... I was experimenting with different camera angles. I'm not an expert videographer, but I'm really trying to improve and have more interesting shots. So it was a trial I guess. And thanks for your feedback that you didn't like it! HOW i tried and failed and then decided to cheat. 1.held the deck between thumb and middle finger 2.tried to pull back on the top card 3. (This is how i failed) back went off the deck when i pulled the top card NOW how i cheated XD 1.used only 1 card 2.just bent it forwards went about 6 inches and fell down My actual question How do i boomarang it???

I learned a move where you hold the deck between thumb and pointer finger and flicking the card out from one hand to the other with my pinky. Tough to strengthen that finger!!
I just bought a deck of Cards, they are plastic. I am trying to learn how to do this, but the edge of the card is not flying out, it keeps on sticking to the edge of my finger
Sorry to hear that... but if you pause the video you should be able to mirror what I'm doing and you'll get a feeling for it quickly .... most of this is on your side now to apply the effort :)

Not only do i like the subject material but i find your calm,mellow , chillllll, slowed down way of comunicating rather relaxing and easy to watch. This is a lovely tutorial. You breakdown the technique really well and yes it's much easier than trying a top shot. after a few minutes managed to get some cards flying in the air and with a bit of practice I'm sure I'll improve . Great video not surprised it's had over 200k views.
For everyone wondering to learn this you need like 50 dollars worth of decks to do it correctly. You have to brake over 200 cards so dont try this if youre broke
Awesome tutorial. I like to use the fingernail. I could shoot them perfectly things to you but my problem is I can't seem to catch them 🤣🤣🤣 any tips on catching them they seem to fly right out of my hand as soon as they make contact
Good tutorial (and there's a LOT of similar ones out there) but my QUESTION: How long with a deck last when you're doing this? I mean, essentially, you're bending a card, and that means weakening it's structure & eventually it has to take it's toll on a deck. BTW, I use Tally-Hos & they're already one of the most expensive OTC cards you can purchase, much more than Bikes. Hi! I came here looking for the manipulation that you do in your opening in latest videos, the one where you deal the card and it just jump straight back to your deck/hand. But I still can't figure if it's an effect of production or if it's a flourish... Help?
I was getting the card shooting down at first, but now every time I do it, the cards seem to just flick backwards towards me and never up. I keep changing the way I hold and flick the cards, but I can't get it down. Any suggestions? I know this is broad
Hello Jason, this is a great tutorial and easy. However my cards just fall to the ground or flutter when I do the shooting. Have any ways to fix it? Maybe? Thank you.
I gave up on this after 2 hours. Only the 2nd card would do it. Never the first. If the 2nd card didn't do it, every other card would fly off somewhere no matter how much I hold the cards
Okay so I tried with my dominant had first(right) for awhile and it was hard but when I switched to my left hand I did it immediately card after card shooting out!!!
F7Cards try different things. For example try curling your finger more and more until the nail can no longer hold the card back, and the card springs free. Assuming you’re using your finger nail. Or, try releasing pressure on the card after pulling it back. Let me know if it helps. And if not, maybe you can explain your problem in more detail?
Do you have any tips for how to use your left hand? I’m left handed and I’m trying to figure out how to use my left hand? I can do this with my right hand
I love the trick and I can get the card to pop out, however I hate the fact that it always sorta damages the cards and bends them. Then again I do have OCD 😂😂
Like it shoot towards you and your face? It doesn't shoot off the end of the deck? I noticed that happening to me a few times, but as I tried to make it repeatable.... so I could explain how to avoid it.... it eventually stopped happening... and I couldn't make it happen that way anymore. I would try adjust all variables a little bit... see what can be changed.... Maybe you are compressing the card too far??

Poseiden I doubt small fingers are an issue.... its possible.... but I doubt it...
I'm using normal paper cards... not plastic! :) I always use paper cards printed by the USPCC :) Bicycle cards being the cheapest option

Flick the card, don't push the card
This was the most easy to follow tutorial I've ever seen. Literally got it on my first try. Perfecting it is another story. Great vid dude.

Never mind I was a brand new deck and it was sticky once I picked up a older deck I got it

2.just bent it forwards went about 6 inches and fell down

Azrael use a slightly older deck if ur using a brand new one
I learned a move where you hold the deck between thumb and pointer finger and flicking the card out from one hand to the other with my pinky. Tough to strengthen that finger!!

I just bought a deck of Cards, they are plastic. I am trying to learn how to do this, but the edge of the card is not flying out, it keeps on sticking to the edge of my finger

This is a lovely tutorial. You breakdown the technique really well and yes it's much easier than trying a top shot. after a few minutes managed to get some cards flying in the air and with a bit of practice I'm sure I'll improve . Great video not surprised it's had over 200k views.

For everyone wondering to learn this you need like 50 dollars worth of decks to do it correctly. You have to brake over 200 cards so dont try this if youre broke
Awesome tutorial. I like to use the fingernail. I could shoot them perfectly things to you but my problem is I can't seem to catch them 🤣🤣🤣 any tips on catching them they seem to fly right out of my hand as soon as they make contact

Good tutorial (and there's a LOT of similar ones out there) but my QUESTION: How long with a deck last when you're doing this? I mean, essentially, you're bending a card, and that means weakening it's structure & eventually it has to take it's toll on a deck. BTW, I use Tally-Hos & they're already one of the most expensive OTC cards you can purchase, much more than Bikes. I was getting the card shooting down at first, but now every time I do it, the cards seem to just flick backwards towards me and never up. I keep changing the way I hold and flick the cards, but I can't get it down. Any suggestions? I know this is broad

I'm very late but hand finger just sticks to the card until it crimps HELP!!
I gave up on this after 2 hours. Only the 2nd card would do it. Never the first. If the 2nd card didn't do it, every other card would fly off somewhere no matter how much I hold the cards

F7Cards try different things. For example try curling your finger more and more until the nail can no longer hold the card back, and the card springs free. Assuming you’re using your finger nail. Or, try releasing pressure on the card after pulling it back. Let me know if it helps. And if not, maybe you can explain your problem in more detail?

I love the trick and I can get the card to pop out, however I hate the fact that it always sorta damages the cards and bends them. Then again I do have OCD 😂😂

Use the top card instead of your finger directly. Alot less friction and the card will fly much further and faster

I have issues with that card shooting backwards as opposed to straight up. I assume it is perhaps thumb position?
Like it shoot towards you and your face? It doesn't shoot off the end of the deck? I noticed that happening to me a few times, but as I tried to make it repeatable.... so I could explain how to avoid it.... it eventually stopped happening... and I couldn't make it happen that way anymore. I would try adjust all variables a little bit... see what can be changed.... Maybe you are compressing the card too far??
