I love how you use words in Spanish when needed. Another thing: I am really impressed how you managed to carve your business in Costa Rica. It inspires me. All the success to you.
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for sharing! It reminded me of when I was younger, I tended to move around a lot. Trying to figure out where I wanted to be what I wanted to do! How exciting it must’ve been for you to stay in Costa Rica! You decided what you wanted and you did it and I applaud you for that! I really enjoyed it. Thank you again. Sincerely, Nina Rios
Thank you for an excellent overview of rental housing in Costa Rica as seen through your adventures in living there. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.😊
Hola! I am from Washington state. We have visited twice. I got bitten by mosquitoes every day, even with the spray. You mentioned you got bit all the time and now not so much. How did that happen?
You are one strong woman! Glad I stumbled onto your channel. My wife and son and I are coming to Jaco over Thanksgiving this year so we are watching videos to see the lay of the land and I found you. Great job, and hope your daughter is doing great. And I'm sure she is! God bless you.
Great Video, very helpful and informative and a great perspective on renting in CR. Wish they had a video like this that featured 10-20 current homes for sale in CR. Trying to get info (price, location) on homes actively for sale is a pain. You have done very well in a relatively short time.
You are so inspiring Sarah , this Video is great and me and hubby is looking forward to coming to CR again to hopefully settle there from Ontario. Keep up the great work!
me too. farm has been sold and ii covered 1600km in 2 weeks in august. will be returning early next year to live. probably dominical el general isidore area. i just may call on u. thx for all the info.
I always appreciate your videos for the knowledge you impart and the raw honesty of your experiences. Great storytelling. Love this video's approach to chronicle the life you have lived in CR by systematically reviewing the houses you lived in. You were so fearless to do what you did and what a life you have created. Kudos to you. I contacted you when I first considered buying a house in CR a few years back and before I knew it I just sort of came down, drove around for two weeks and made an offer on a home and eventually closed. So only one home in CR but glad my experience has turned out well. Pura Vida Sarah
Sarah, thank you for showing your Costa Rica journey via your many, many, many (did I mention, many? :-)) homes. It was very informative to see the pre - and post-covid prices and accommodations. I would hope that in your looking back on your journey here, you would say that it was all worth everything you've experienced up to now. If it hadn't been for your individual experience, I would not have had the immense fortune of meeting you and your wonderful team to hold my hand while I transitioned to this amazing country!
Sarah, thank you for sharing your journey in Costa Rica! You're doing fantastic!! Cheers to you and your family,. All the best going forward. I look forward to meeting you one day soon. I'm living at Lake Arenal at this time. I came from Dominical, up the river road also. Pura vida!
Wow, I lived in 20 places in CR in March, Ive been homeless for 1.8 years now and have moved to CR or visited a couple times, and as there is a housing crises where I am from, have been in 5 places just in April, so 20 times in 9 years seems like a dream. 2 times a year basically. One day I will have a show of all the dumps, places and stories of what its like to move as a woman in her late 50s in a housing crises with no income at the moment and show my photos. I could write a book on my moves and my times. Ahhh, to be young and have a beautiful home, seems like a dream, I guess you created your dream. Good for you for having built a beautiful life. But just as a comment, 20 times in 9 years is not a lot of moves, it just probably feels that way. I dragged my luggage in the heat in March in CR being sent on wrong buses all the time, with no budget for a car rental and survived and ended up in dumps or overpriced airbnbs all in the hopes to find my own home for the future. Hasnt happened yet but finally a sublet for a month. That feels like luxury. Be grateful for what you have, 2 homes is something most people wont ever have in their lifetime, or even one. I wont own a home. I guess having a Your tube channel and having retreats and having people hire you to help them built those houses. Im not being cynical, just pointing out you did it, so enjoy it.
Love this video, Sarah…inspiring! I’m a 37 yo early retiree and I’ve been to CR 6 times now. Planning to snowbird in the central pacific zone each winter. You’re a very interesting person, love to meet you sometime!
One picture you were covered up in a coat and said you were covered in mosquito bites but you don't get bit anymore --- what are you doing to prevent getting mosquito bites now?
Im an architec and have two rental houses in Playa Agujas, Tárcoles.... Where did you ending building these beautiful houses...? (i mean the area of course not exact address😂). What a history of life in CR you had...!!! You are a a very brave women to do all this by yourself...!!! Congratulations...!
That was very comprehensive. I am looking for a rental for 1 month with a young home schooled child under age 10. Plus, I'm looking for a spanish tutor/teacher, that's one main reason for the visit (immersion spanish for him, and me as well). Thanks so much. I see even more what types of properties I can potential get next year.

That was my favorite Video too! I move a lot as well with some exceptions it can be exhausting and expensive I have one question do they charge a deposit like they do here in the states? Or do u just move in?
Hi Sarah, life is a journey and you proved it with all you went through and accomplished I’m very impressed. I’m here now looking at real estate in Atenus and Grecia and hope to move to Costa Rica. I do have an opportunity to purchase a lot in Tamboi. Thinking of going with a mondule home instead of constructiing a house. Take care and how is your daughter doing ?
How did you find these places? Encuentra24 and Facebook seem to have the same prices at the United States. Did you just hear about these places by word of mouth? Thanks!
Did you do all this traveling with a baby on your own. I’m currently pregnant in CR alone not as much moving as you but I’ve move a few times within 2 months now. How did you do it? Any tips sometimes I’m ready to leave but then I see this!!! You’re awesome thank you for sharing!
@@triste248 aw yes… I did do everything alone. She’s 7 years old now but I gave birth here and it’s been her and I up until recently! All I can say if you really want to live her long term then you’ll need to get creative and work hard. I worked online already right before I got pregnant so that helped. And having a new born baby and doing it yourself is no joke, but it is possible. I almost went back to the USA when I found out I was pregnant but I am glad I stayed and figured it out. Shoot me an email or a request on Facebook sometime if you want to just chat. I’d be happy to share more in general if it would help.
when I lived there 15 years I moved a lot form being ripped off and cleaned out once they even took everything in the house even the wiring out of the walls. I have a lot of money so I was able to recover but most people don't. Now I love Costa Rica that is why I stayed 15 years we visit every year with the kids so they can see there family. It depends… most rentals YES charged a deposit.
For the $100 jungle cabin no, the hostel no, and the cabina in dominical no. But everywhere else yes.
Very interesting. Nice you have a pictorial history of your life in Cr, I’m sure your daughter enjoys looking at it as well.

Yes, I also do this, and it's not a negative comment. You say coasta and not Costa. My one friend gets bent on me, sorta.

Can you send links to this cabana in Dominical please?

What is the climate in the town where you live now? Does your new house have A/C?
Summer all year long! Yes with A/C

Still can't understand why the plandemic drove prices up so high for rentals (and others!)? Greed?
LOL 20 homes? That's comical
