This is peak Slayer in my opinion. Fast and brutal as it should be, but also dark, dynamic and atmospheric. The title track is my favourite Slayer song, and Dead Skin Mask and War Ensemble are in my top 5.
I agree, after this one I lose interest but there's some odd tracks I like.
