That obnoxious grill only looks good on a Black M4, or just on an M4 in general, because of the added kit to make the M look aggressive. A standard 3 or 4 Series looks atrocious. I have a friend that has a 3 Series and I can't be honest to tell her that her car looks awful with that grill.
The 'China Inside' strategy backfired. Face reality- Chinese EV are leading in tech, design, workmanship, and cost. Why should any consumer pay 30% extra for the badge? The Chinse EV will still beat BMW after tariffs
BMW made it's name with it's gasoline engines and good handling. EV changed the game in automotive. I may still buy an BMW as a gasoline car, not as a EV. P.S. The disgustingly huge kidney grill is still making me feeling disgusted.
I hate BMW. I bought two new BMW's, 325i and X5, both were a POS. Not only are their cars expensive, they are unreliable and expensive to repair and service. I missed so much time from work. Never will I buy a trashed German brand car from BMW and alike. WASTE OF MONEY.
Hydrogen as a power source for cars is a total non starter. Battery tech is advancing at such a fast pace that within 5 years it will all be over for the internal combustion engine. Unfortunately most of the established motor industry is out of their depth and cannot survive the transition.
Moving to hydrogen is suicide game. Do you know that to produce 1kg of hydrogen will need at least 55 kw electric energy? A fuel cell car needs at least 5kg hydrogen to travel 600km. Yet it need consume a whopping 275kw energy to produce 5kg hydrogen. 275kw in Tesla Model 3 will easily travel beyond 1500km. And the pressure of the hydrogen tank is approximately 700 bar. EV battery fire hard to rescue, hydrogen not fire but blast and people inside the vehicle guarantee gone in seconds.
All automakers probably jumped into the EV pool too quickly. While the premise behind an EV may be for environmental considerations, the economic realities are yet to be grasped and understood. BMW, along with other leading German car manufacturers, have led the way for decades, but now, with Chinese manufacturers nipping at their heels, they will need to move quickly to secure a new space within the market or lose. It is a fact. Look at Kodak, and who remembers? If corporations fail to keep pace with the way global trends demand change and innovation, then they will not be viable, and I sincerely hope the German car manufacturers can adjust and shift gears as I love their cars, for if they don’t, they are doomed, and that will be an immense tragedy for millions.
.. its perfectly OK for a 2035 combustion engine ban , the issue is if the EU would put their effort ( and money ) behind it , infrastructure is the key and its not just EV
The world has to go the clean electric route to avoid the medical costs that arise from burning stuff, and fossil fuels in particular. Mining and industrial processes everywhere including oil refining and extraction are making people sick.
next year the only ev brand in the us will be tesla and they can cover the 5 or6% of the ppl who want ev .., the normal car will be back to its normal prices and everybody will be happy

BMW became ugly with that huge front kidney grill.
Absolutely. Who thought up that monstrosity

sad, they used to be rock solid vehicles 20 years ago. I owned 3 bmw's
Those BMW EV cars are an embarrassment to the brand! I say that as a BMW driver with 40 years of experience behind the wheel of a BMW car!

The BMW should merge the VW group and the Mercedes sharing lots of cost intensive tasks. I think this will happen soon, if the laws allows it.
It’s difficult for heritage brands to stand out in the new Ev market . Everything is just an expansive hyped up milk float really isn’t it 🤔

Going bust when?

The Chinese sales strategy positioning in small and affordable EV is the global winning strategy (outside the US) for the years ahead
That's simply not true. GM, Ford, VW, Mercedes, et al are NOT walking away from their investments.
😂😂😂Why do you care....
