Hi this is Scooter Steve I have the 2017 650 Birdman I always wanted to know how are you change the PC filter I watched your video and I did it the way you were showing me but it didn’t pop off easy like what you were showing on your video I had to push the clips on the right side with a screwdriver pull up so I can take it out and now I finally got it off the hardest part was that last screw I had to push some of the plastic bags to get out and then to put it back in your right that is a little hard but I got it. It was filled up with grass and dirt, I put it up to the sunlight and I couldn’t see through it so I just wiped it off with my hand and a vacuum cleaner and now I can see right through the filter. It looks really good. Thanks for making that video because you’re the only one it will show how to do it I went into the shop they want to charge me $250 stubs to clean it which is ridiculous so I’m glad you made a video about it. That helped me a lot. Thank you very much now I am a happy writer. Also, I have videos on TH-cam. My name is Scootersteve. I have a 2003 650 burgy.
Regular complete maintenance will go a long way in keep'n it running well.
You are not lying
Very easy. Just remove 15 pieces of plastic, 15 screws, pull everything gently and after 1.5h it's done. Very easy to clean one filter
Takes like 10min....
For me it took 1.5h every time...
Took me just as long because I was struggling to remove the side panel until i figured there was a screw at the bottom. @tibosee

Thanks Dan! Cleaning that CVT filter is a lot cheaper than buying a new drive belt. I priced a new belt ($500!).. sheesh!
I know it's crazy how much the belts cost. Happy New Year's man I'm about to drop my next Bergman video changing the spark plugs

I love how much you know about this shit, mad respect ! But I was also wondering if you had any ideas how the FI issue coming on Burgman650 could be resolved. I've seen many videos and they all sounds very very complicated. Any thoughts ?
So the F1 light could come on for a multitude of different reasons as you know at that point it's better just to take it to a certifiable shop that works on Suzuki so they can communicate with it on their computer system and figure out what's causing it and then they will tell you what the problem is and you can choose to fix it yourself or not

Hi, I have just bought a 2015 burgman 650 exec, with 9000 miles. I notice that during my test ride the bike would jerk , but was fine during acceleration or slowing down. I was told by the dealer that this is normal for big scooters.
Have you experienced this issue

The one thing I've learned about these scooters is that you have to be really really gentle on the throttle control As smooth as you possibly can
what happens if the filter has dissenegrated and crumbled to pieces?

@@IFixShet I did. I'm concerned about what damaged it may have aleady caused.
@@mudejartrainingnaturalscie6938 So by not having a filter you've allowed a bunch of dirt and dust into the CBT which unfortunately Can cause problems Especially clogging and overheating issues causing the belt to snap prematurely. I don't know if you know this but the CVT belt is internal inside of these and costs almost $2000 to replace the belt if it goes. My suggestion immediately get a new filter or design one yourself

why dont you take a vacation and come hang out a week and do some work on a real bike..thinking of sending mine in for service before spring
