    I wear Invicta Pro Divers. I can find no fault with them. I buy several from Amazon when the price is right and give them to friends and strangers as gifts. I can’t justify five or six thousand dollars for a premium watch. It’s nice to be able to give money to help less fortunate folks with groceries, gas and utilities instead of wearing it on my wrist.

    Mine is now 13 years old. It was my third mechanical after 2 Seikos. I wore this sucker through my military time on a Nato strap for about 6 solid years. Then I wore it when I would go out camping, hiking, etc. The date window is chipped, the bezel scratched up along with the crystal, but it still chugs along just fine. Wore it all week for fun at the river. Great tool watch.

    In October I was on the fence about purchasing this watch. After I watching this video I decided order one through Amazon and I've been quite pleased. So far it's kept great time and I get plenty of compliments about it. The Pro Diver is definitely a keeper.

    Totally agree with this great revue. I own a 1987 Rolex “bluesy” submariner, which is a great watch, but I’m hesitant to wear it out in public due to crime here. I bought the Invicta two-tone blue dial pro diver, and have had it for almost a year and love it! I snorkel with it, and wear it in all conditions. No issues at all. You just can’t find a better watch for this price point.

    Sometimes I dump it for a week or two and wear other watches, but I always come back to it.... Like my first love.

      I've only had mine for about 2 weeks. The first week it seemed to loose 3 seconds per day consistently, but then I went ahead and wound it hard and took effort to move the auto movement and for this 2nd week it seems to be spot on to a second fast. Very impressed so far.

Everyone can afford the Invicta and they can experience a quality classy automatic timepiece for less than a hundred bucks. I've had the pro diver for four years now and I work in some very extreme weather conditions. Out doors in northern Minnesota. Outside in -40 weather and up to 90+ degrees in the summer. My pro diver has never missed a beat. It's been covered in bug repellent , sunblock which you can't even do that with a g shock. Covered in mud, dirt sweat, and at one point blood. A rinse in the river and it's good as new.
    It's been bashed against rocks, been with me in the wilderness, rain, snow, swimming, hot tubs, nice dinners with the wife. You name it, it's done it. No one has ever mistaken it for a Rolex but it gets more compliments than a Seiko monster that I wore for 20 years ever got. I use to think the Seiko monster was the best watch for the money but now........I honestly think it's the Invicta pro diver.

    I've had my 8926OB since 2014. It's been scuba diving in Mexico, and I've traveled all over with it. It looks nice, runs reliably, and was a good value. I also have the two tone black dial and blue dial, and the gold black dial versions. They all run a little slow but I've never tried to have them regulated. If the watch eventually breaks, I'll either mod it with a new movement and dial or just buy another one. I have had so many different straps on mine from leather, NATO, bracelet, crocodile, etc.

  • @pgreeff

    I own the Pro diver in blue. It is my first foray into automatics, with the idea that I would upgrade to something better if I liked it. After two years I still have not found adequate reason to replace it as my daily. My only complaints with the watch are the excessive branding, rattly metal strap and the inadequate lume. A Nato strap took care of the rattles. Other than that I cannot fault it. In terms of accuracy I lucked out, I get about 30 seconds drift per month. There were a few options for starting out with automatics, but I eventually settled on the Pro diver to annoy the watch snobs.

    • @JohnGriffith222
      @JohnGriffith222 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they are mostly annoyed because they see you in public with it, initially think it looks good, they get a close up look, realize it isnt a rolex, and then they stick their nose up for wasting their time and energy thinking, 'that watch looks good, what is it? Invicta, oh nevermind.'

    I've had my pro diver for almost 13 years and it finally started having issues. It loses about 50 seconds a day. I bet it just needs a cleaning and it will be fine again. I put this watch through hell! Wore it when I was doing contractor work, concrete, hvac, building demos, mechanic work. The bezel even still looks good, as well as the glass. I purchased this watch for $59 back then and it was my first automatic. I'm getting into watch making and going to learn on it and clean it up. I'm also going to buy another one. Mine has the red/black bezel. Great video btw.

    I still have many invictas,
    With Myiota, Seiko, and sellita sw200. They all have excellent quality, if you take care of them they will take care of you. My Mom had one of the original Swiss made for many years in the Canal Zone (Panama). She never had any problems with it. She replaced the leather strap a few times, but the actual watch never had any problem.

    I love the Pro Diver. I got my first one about 20 years ago to wear while I was saving up for my Submariner. I gave it away when I finally got my Sub, but ended up buying another one to use as a 'stunt double' for those occasions when wearing an expensive watch is a bad idea.
    I also have the 26970, which is identical to the 8926OB except in quartz. Perfect knockaround watch.

      @@romanmoruz Thanks, although it's not entirely fair to say that I simply moved from one to the other. I genuinely like the Invicta in its own right, not just as a Submariner substitute. It's a really good watch, and nobody should feel ashamed to own one just because of a few haters.

    • @ritwikmukherjee6455
      @ritwikmukherjee6455 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey dude, is the rotating bezel around the 26970 quartz Invicta very tight, or does it have sufficient ease of rotation? And, is the black dial version better than the blue one?

    • @thepenultimateninja5797
      @thepenultimateninja5797 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ritwikmukherjee6455 I'd say it's just right. It's not loose enough enough be knocked by accident, but not so tight that it is difficult to turn. It is a bit difficult to turn with wet hands, but that's true of most bezels unless they are very chunky.
      There is no difference between the black and blue versions except the color - just pick which one you like the look of.

    I just ordered an invicata pro diver I had been holding off because it looks SO much like a Rolex, but after picking up a 42mm Skeleton watch, I wanted to give it a try as I love other Invicta. As for divers under 70 bucks with an automatic movement that can be worn anywhere. I can't think of any. I love my Casio Duro - but that is a Quartz. The next closest is the Russian Vostock Amphibia - but it would be debatable to wear in a formal occasion. Again getting a NEW one now is difficult as the sanctions are in place. Yea you kinda got a point and I wish I could another better for 70 bucks. My invicata pro diver was 76 on Amazon (84 with tax) ... but again not going to quibble :)

    I got a 9094 as a watch to practice modding on. (I really didn't like the Invicta dial, and the bracelet even less.) That being said, even after multiple dial changes it still is working just fine, even though it looks nothing like the original. It is a fun watch to wear, and I know I can switch the NH35 movement at any time if I wanted to. Talking about the SNK, the finish of the watch is better, sometimes distinctly better based on the time of SNK you get. The movement of the SNK (7s26) is however inferior to the NH35.

    Love my pro diver, can’t beat the price, and great quality!! Very durable, and hold up well!! I am very active, rough, the only thing I wish, is that they have an option to come with a sapphire crystal, as the mineral scratches way too easily. ..I do my own oil changes and maintenance on all my vehicles, and I never take my watch off..working on car, or taking shower, or going to bed..my watch stays on.

    It was also my first mechanical/automatic watch I got it 3 years ago after a lifetime of digital watches (I'm wearing it now) and I've had no problems with it still keeps pretty good time it loses about 12 seconds a day and I still wear it often and it suits all occasions.. One thing I don't like is the cyclops but if I ever change the crystal I can remedy that.. All the invicta hate is just snobbery imo, I'll never have the cash for a Rolex so shelling out for this was a great investment and well worth the money..

    I'm ordering the sellita SW200 powered diver tomorrow.. ($170 brand spanking new)Turns out its pretty much a different watch.. Case is thinner..bracelet is thicker/heavier with a milled clasp.. It's got "flame fusion crystal" (whatever that is).. I've been wanting a pro diver for YEARS!!.. Had Rollies/Omegas/Breitling but still always fancied these😍 I love the fact people hate them too lol

    The Invicta pro diver was my very first automatic watch that my mom bought me for my birthday years ago and I absolutely love it! I unfortunately wore it to the beach and the crystal needs to be cleaned it’s fogged up a bit and the hands stick a bit even when I shake it to move energy I haven’t worn it for a while. I’ve been wanting it fixed to look like new and work like new but haven’t because I’m thinking it will be expensive o repaire

    About 15 years ago I had an invicta watch. It was a quartz watch. I used the watch as a work watch and wore it for about 6 years or so. I never really took care of it and didn't think about it much. I knocked it around. Finally it died. I really abused it. I didn't buy another after that just because I sort of forgot about it. I am like you-I don't like gaudy huge watches. I agree that the Invicta watch can be a very dependable watch for daily wear. No doubt as I owned one. I wouldn't buy a Pro-diver just because there are tons of alternative watches to choose from but that doesn't mean the Pro-diver is not a good watch. For the money its probably a great watch. Not everyone can afford a swiss watch.

    FYI: not all of the NH35A eccenter winding wheels are painted yellow! I have one in yellow, one in plain metal, just engraved with Seiko's TMI markings. It depends what in factory and when they were made

    Hi, nice video. I love watches, mainly I own Casio digital watches, G-Shocks, Seikos and one Omega Seamaster. I love that Omega but honestly … the Invicta Pro Diver is getting the most wrist time of all my automatic watches. it’s a super accurate, well finished and good looking watch. And if in worst case if you bump it against anything by accident you destroy 80 EUR. I would die if I destroy or damage my Omega or a 300 EUR Seiko … sounds strange but yea, in my day to day life I relay on my Invicta and only on special occasions I wear the expensive pieces. So from my point, nothing bad with Invicta. That’s just the way I think about 👍🏻

    You make some valid points, particularly when you spotlight all the other watches clearly inspired by the Rolex Sub My issue with the Pro Diver is the "Invicta" name obnoxiously carved into the side of the case, which is an assault on the eyes. The Invicta 1953 eschews this inexplicable detail. For that reason alone I'd be more inclined to buy the 53.

      I never really pay attention to the Invicta on the side of mine guess it just don't bother me. But out of curiosity if Rolex was to emblazon their name on the side would people be so inclined to call it tacky?

    • @jameshisself9324
      @jameshisself9324 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chadchambliss4949 Wholly different situation. Considering they dominate the market, adding that to the side would have less of a negative than Invicta doing it. But it begs the question, would they do that in the first place? Their traditions with the sub date back to 1953 so differing sensibilities for sure then. Not likely they would add that now as one of the things that has put them where they are is having a sense of style and class associated to the brand. Having said that, they have added the same embossing to the current subs around where the chapter ring would be. Decidedly less tacky there though, and I suspect added like that under the crystal to lend it an appearance of authenticity. I'm sure it took no time at all for the counterfeiters to add it to theirs. 🙄🙄🤣🤣

    @jamesstamper5168 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My two favorite beaters are the Invicta pro diver mechanical automatic, and the Casio Duro which is Quartz only but has a analog dial. Both watches are very durable even tho neither has a sapphire crystal. For the money you simply cannot beat either of these watch’s.
    I’m not a dress watch guy. I’m blue collar all the way. I work hard, I play hard, and I abuse anything on my wrist. That’s why I would never own a Rolex, Tudor or Omega. No one in their right mind would subject those expensive brands to the kind of abuse I dish out to my watches on a daily basis.
    Most people don’t buy a diver to go diving. They buy it because divers are tough and reliable. As stated several times in this video, it’s all about durability. The NH35 movement is a Seiko designed 3rd party movement used by cottage industry brands all over the world. It’s a reliable movement. Invicta saw the value in the the NH35 movement and chose it for all of their mechanical dive watches.

    • @romanmoruz
      @romanmoruz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good questions! 1 - I think the watch keeps great time. I used to wear it every single day for a few years and the watch was very accurate!
      Now that more time passed and I got some other watches and constantly rotate them, I don't wear the Pro Diver as much but so far I have zero complaints about the movement as it still keeps great time!
      2 - In this video I am wearing a Rolex Submariner.
      Thank you for the questions and for being part of this channel!!

    My ten year old Pro Diver was beginning to run slow, around a five minutes a week. Not worth servicing it, so I bought a new one this week for £70 GBP. Sold my old one on EBay for £30. Cost of ownership for ten years, £4 per year. Just had my vintage Omega Seamaster serviced. Cost £500. For the money there is nothing to touch Invicta. I have Omega, Longines, Ebel, Baumé and Mercier, and Seiko watches. What do I wear most days? Invicta. Rolex are great, but who wants to get mugged. No one ever got mugged for their Invicta!
