- Today I take this Invicta and do all sorts of things to turn it into a beautiful Seiko :p. Come watch!
If you do these things, do so at your own risk. Be CAREFUL and use proper protective gear. Have patience and watch/read as many tutorials as you can. I did for months before I tried this.
If you want to get to modding these watches, many Invicta Pro Divers (automatics) are currently on sale. Some as low as 53, dollars!

Lately I've been listening to a lot of 80s Def Leppard. There's something so satisfying while driving to Rock of Ages bumping from my car's obnoxious sound system :p. What does it have you ask? I'm glad you've asked!
Everything is old, just like my car. I'm using a Kenwood 25th Anniversary CD player. CD PLAYER, GUYS. But I have an ipod attached to it which is what I only use. From that, the front/rear signal goes to an Audio Control active crossover then to an MTX Thunder 4 Channel (4X100w RMS) Class A amp. The sub frequency goes to an Audio Control Epicenter then to an MTX Thunder 250D Class D monoblock amp.
I have Kenwood components front and rear and a 10" Orion XTR DVC in a custom slotted box that I had made using MTX comp specs that they only gave out to their comp circuit teams. This was back in the day, though. Like I said, everything is old but it sure does sound great! I don't play it very loud anymore as I want to save my ears and not be a douchebag :p. But once in a while....dam-son!

@@The12brother for the price there are really good. replace the band cuz they’re crap and maybe replace the glass with sapphire but other than that great watch with a workhorse of a movement
I have both, Rolex submariner and Invicta pro driver. Obviously, the Rolex is built better and it has a higher beat, so movement is more fluent but holding both watches same time. Rolex being 8000€, I would value Invicta around 800-1200€. So yea for 80-100€ it's one of the best if not THE best watch you can get, you can wear it with pride my friend, haters hate.

Well done. I have done about 7 or 8 invicta mods. There is a guy that makes a nice coin edge bezel for these. Murphy mfg. Rolex 16610 bezel inserts fit. It is a pain to re-do the case, but the winding and hacking movement and the proportions make it a great watch to mod.
Came out pretty sick, grinding the Invicta away came out way better than i thought

Do a strap show. I've been planning an Invicta pro diver mod for a while. Gonna do a Coke bezel Seamaster type thing but now I'm totally considering grinding down the Invicta on the side. great idea thank you!

One small mod I've made to my Pro Diver is to even up the brushing on the polished centre links of the bracelet with Scotchbrite so all three rows now match.

The only reason I can think of to grind off all logos is to try to make it look like it's not made by Invicta. This is a great watch, nothing to be ashamed of.

U finally did one that's good it is a pain to grind off and get it back shiney but it's worth it in my opinion. It looks amazing mine didn't come out so good but just doing a mad makes u feel proud. U should do some more when u get a chance. Keep up the good work

Good video! Have you seen the Invicta Pro-Diver 25643 bronze model? Only 3 logos, dial, back, and tang buckle, you should check it out, a great way to get into bronze watches, also I would like to see you change the dial in one of those. Thanks for the video, Steve.

@@minitwatch No it doesn't! Also there's 4 other colors, black, green, orange and wine. They are all start with the 2564* numbers, just do a Google search with Invicta followed by the number 2564..i got at least 3 of the models right off. Have a good weekend and again thanks for the video!
Why did you have to remove and reinstall the bezel insert? Something to do with the bezel retainer?
The bezel is held on by the retainer clip. Popping it off is easy but putting it back on is tremendously difficult. It's easier to move the retainer and reinstall it.

So your popping of the bezel and bezel insert with the retaining ring still under the bezel? I bent the HECK out of my bezel because I left the bezel insert on and didn't remove the retaining ring first.

Awesome Mod! I love all your mod videos. You have inspired me to mod a few watches. I too have been planning an Invicta mod for some time. I am just going to change the dial and the hands though. Grinding is above my skill level now.

OK Curt, I've got the Snoopy version of this diver. You've inspired me to grind out that case logo and actually wear the thing. But that logo is so damn embarrassing. I thought I could live with it, but time to warm up the Dremel. And replace those horrible hands too, especially the seconds hand. One thing to remember on dials that have a day complication - you have to use the proper day wheel too for 3 or 4 o'clock position or it won't align correctly in the window. Great mod. I might have pulled the rotor too and removed the yellow Invicta logo with a cotton swab of lacquer thinner. Another great & inspiring MinitWatch mod. Thanks Curt, always good stuff.

I have the same watch and I’m quite happy with it and I don’t really notice the much hated Invicta logo on the side of the case so it doesn’t bother me. I do like the end result of your mod but I’m surprised that you kept the original bracelet because it’s not very good and a better quality bracelet would have improved the watch immensely.

So I just bought an Invicta pro driver 9404 that has a Seiko NH35 movement - by mistake! thought it was a Seiko (Ebay!).
Found your video on modding and wondered.... Is the Invicta basically a Seiko? Can I change the dial face, hands, bezel, bezel insert, crown, chapter rings etc with Seiko mods?
That turned out sick even though you did not have any belt sander action, you did engage your safety squints so I am proud of you! I listen to all kinds of music, classic punk, classic hip hop & real gangsta rap from back in the day, industrial, pop, grunge, hair metal movie sound tracks! I do not really listen to anything new though, todays music just sucks )

Last week I was listening to Tupac, NAS, Cube, Warren G and....Skee Lo. Hahaha! Nobody cares about the guy on the bottom. Nobody cares about the guy beneath. Everyone wants to be down with the due on the top of the stairs, top of the stairs! I rarely listen to new music unless it's retrowave...which is kind of new-old :p.
I liked Skee Lo, a couple years ago there was a TV commercial that used I Wish in it :)

what kind of case did you store it in? I know its a seiko 5 but does it matter what one?

Pretty tight and well done. Great work removing the logos, especially the one on the clasp which I didn't think would have worked out given the way it was stamped in and through to the back.
Regarding lume.. At least the lume pip, I don't suppose you have a spare lume pip from a previous Seiko mod? If not, there's some lume paint kit you can get for $20. Maybe you can fill in and make your own with it. I've used some of that $20 lume paint kit and it actually glows really well. I did a head to head test with Seiko Lumibrite and it pretty much holds as good, if not slightly better.. And it was blue lume, too, which usually doesn't glow as bright as green lume. It can be a pain in the ass to work with, but with the proper applicator tools and practice to get a feel for the lume substance, it isn't as hard as you night think.
Anyways, congrats on a good effort to mod an invicta into your own seki mod.. Or is it the other way around?.. Ok, your Invicta-Seiko hybrid mod.
Thanks for the pips...I mean tips! haha! I am just going to wait for a lumed insert which will most likely be made. I have talked to carlos from LCBI and he says that it's coming in the near future. For now, I'm happy with how this has come out :) I have thought about calling this the InvictaMAS but it just didn't feel good :p. Others have called it a Feiko and I absolutely LOVE that. haha. Thank you :)

Next step: get a load of NH38A movements (for a clean dial, no day/date), design your own dial, order pre-made cases from China, get everything assembled, and call yourself a microbrand.

Nice Mod!! Yes this color Invicta 9094OB is on sale for $54.94 + The Sapphire crystal is $39.95. Great now i have 2 watches I'm modding the other is a skx007 with a double dome and a NH36A movement for hacking and winding, a better movement than the 7s26 in my opinion..

I really don’t understand Invicta hate. I have 3, none of the over the top ones but still. The Pro and Grand Diver are great watches for the money.
What grit did you use for the brushing on the buckle? I'm thinking of doing a very similar mod.

Fantastic, I love the way the lume reflects in the chapter ring XD If it were me I might even consider polishing the chapter ring to enhance this and make the dial look bigger with the reflections, or perhaps even masking the parts in-between the indices and only polishing v shaped stripes above the indices... I do also suspect it might be possible to remove the printed wording from the bottom of the dial, for me then it would be almost perfect!

Why did you bother with the bracelet clasp? The Invicta bracelet is not all that special. You could've just bought another similar quality bracelet or clasp without the logo for cheap.
